Chapter 484: Serve Me
‘At least I know that this rotten fatty’s life depended on a mana core…’ Shye inwardly consoled himself as he narrowed his eyes at the summoned Abomination.
It was as strong as a general, yet the only reward for killing it would be keeping his own life.
There was simply nothing to loot as even its mana core had to be destroyed.
Glancing at the treasures that were now scattered all across the room—their conditions unknown—Shye’s mood worsened.
‘That cursed hag… did she set up this ambush to ensure I get nothing from her dungeon even if I wipe them all out?’ Shye pondered as he charged at the abomination with an ill-tempered gaze.
Then, without the slightest hesitation, he activated one of his [Epic]-tier skills, which had just come off cooldown, causing the blades of his greatswords to glow scarlet, greatly enhancing their cutting power.
In addition to this, his strength attribute tripled for two seconds, and his agility attribute doubled for one second.
‘Nightfall Reaper!’
The Abomination was caught off-guard as Shye reappeared in front of it in an instant.
He was simply too fast for it to be able to react.
Subsequently, with one ferocious slash, he sliced the rotten fatty horizontally in two.
‘Tch, I missed its core by a hair’s breadth, huh?’ He inwardly thought as his gaze landed upon the top part of the glowing azure core in the middle of its belly.
He, unfortunately, missed his target, however, it didn’t matter much as he was not planning to pull punches.
After all, the rotten fatty was the last one standing out of the three monstrous creatures.
If he could eliminate it, even if it meant using all his trump cards, he would gain plenty of breathing room as the wyrm was now nothing but little bony bits struggling to form body parts in a futile attempt to attack him.
‘Ninth Devastation Ray!’
Replacing Mithra with his ruby-tier elemental staff, Shye adjusted his aim, making sure that he would hit the center of the exposed core before firing yet another of his [Epic]-tier trump cards.
The thin-linear ray of hyper-condensed mana then made contact with the azure core, shattering it into thousands of pieces.
Soon after, the furious expression on the summoned Abomination’s face froze—its body reverting to its previous lifeless form of random bones, soil, and rotten flesh.
‘Phew…now, only this damned wyrm remains…’
Taking a deep breath, Shye turned around and saw the wyrm’s half-formed skull and its tail wiggling towards him, ready to strike with a tail-swipe attack.
Of course, Shye once again destroyed both to mere pieces with one violent slash each, narrowing his eyes shortly after.
He was running out of ideas.
At this rate, it would be impossible for him to achieve a three-star completion.
‘Tch…’
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, the mana pulse he forgot to deactivate scanned the surroundings once more.
‘Hmm?’
Now that he had nothing else to do but figure out how to kill the wyrm, he finally noticed that there was an area at the corner of the room that the mana pulse somehow couldn’t scan.
Two seconds later, another pulse shot out from Shye’s body, scanning the entire room.
Yet, that particular part was somehow deflecting the mana pulse back toward Shye, preventing a full scan.

‘Hoh?’
With no idea how to kill the wretched wyrm, Shye grasped at straws, hoping that even this small anomaly in the room might provide some clues.
Walking closer to the weird spot, Shye slashed his sword at it, however, nothing happened.
Until another mana pulse scanned the entire room, that is.
This time, the weird spot was now in a different part of the room.
It was still close to where Shye was, however, it undoubtedly moved.
‘Hahahaha! There’s definitely something inside that area.’ Shye inwardly laughed in sheer delight while feigning confusion.
He learned from one of the academy’s premium classes that certain [Space] and [Void] type creatures could hide in spatial or void pockets to avoid detection, hence, Shye knew that there was some sort of creature in that small weird spot.
‘Maybe it’s the fourth general?’ Shye mused, scratching his head while walking back to where the majority of the wyrm’s bony parts were.
He then suddenly used [Blink], reappearing beside the weird area and swiftly slashing at it, prioritizing speed over strength.
“UGYAAK!”
A strange high-pitched scream echoed across the room as a small creature emerged from nothingness.
It stood about two feet tall, with green eyes, green skin, a fat torso, a slim lower body, and short arms and legs.
The creature didn’t look threatening at all. If anything, it looked funny.

“Hoh…you little shit! Could you be a general as well?” Shye mocked while slowly walking towards the small creature, who was desperately crawling away.
What he didn’t expect was that the creature would talk back.
“Human. Ugly. I kill if escape!”
Utterly dumbstruck, Shye stared blankly at the creature before laughing uproariously.
“Hahahaha! You don’t have to worry about that, you little shit. You won’t be able to escape from me.”
“Human. Stupid. Not scared!”
“Oh? You’re quite the spirited one… How about this: If you become my subordinate, I’ll spare your life.”
