Chapter 574: Raging Storm
Blinding azure lights further illuminated the already purply bright cave.
Soon after, six heroic figures emerged.
Three of them had dissatisfied faces and chaotic hearts, losers who had once been ready to bite the hands that nurtured them.
On the other hand, the other three—two young men and one young woman—had resolute expressions.
They looked like heroes unfazed by difficulties and horrors, moving forward—a step at a time, ever-courageous.
The six adventurers had been together as a party for quite some time, and their combat synergy was already highly developed.
Yet, when faced with a decision that required morals and courage, they immediately fell apart, separating the valiant and heroic individuals from the second-rate trash that could never reach the top.
Still, despite their unwillingness, the other three had to force themselves to go along with the party leader’s decision.
Otherwise, they would be branded as cowards, and the doors to their next step—becoming regional heroes—would slam shut, never to open again.
And so, with both heavy and resolute hearts, the WAA extermination party resumed their quest to destroy the Horza Blaidde Mana Dungeon’s core.
Having already explored half the sixth floor, Shye and his party members more or less got the hang of how to advance as quickly yet also as safely as possible.
Passing through various terrains, the extermination party demolished all sorts of monstrosity that came their way. Up-front or ambush, nothing mattered.
They were a cataclysmic force.
Before they knew it, they were already in front of an enormous crab-like creature with a black plum carapace, four massive claws, four pairs of eyes positioned akin to a spider’s, and sixteen, terrifying armored legs.
It looked way tougher to take down than the Abyssal Drake.
Yet, it was devoured helplessly by the force of nature that was the WAA extermination party, eliciting impressed nods of satisfaction from the ten old men.
The youngsters’ growths not only as an individual adventurer but as a member of a party were explosive.
They were casting their old shells and skins away, blossoming into the finest of their crafts—one that people wouldn’t hesitate to put their trust into.
After conquering the sixth floor as though a raging storm, their momentum carried on to the seventh.
The variant darkness creatures of (A) ranked and above stood no chance, destroyed all the same as their brethren stationed on the sixth.
Once the extermination party got into position, there was no escaping. Each monstrous creature perished in mere minutes.
Even the seventh floor’s guardian was no exception.
Many adventurer parties have attempted to clear the Horza Blaidde Mana Dungeon in the past.
However, most were either wiped out or forced to retreat in utter defeat on the second or third floor.
Despite numerous attempts, none have managed to see what lies on the fifth floor, let alone the seventh.
Shye and his party members were undoubtedly the ones who’ve made it the farthest inside, the truest of pathfinders.
After a brief preparation, the extermination party descended to the eighth floor.
The only thing that was going wrong for them right now was the unbelievably fast mana potion consumption.
At this rate, their mana potion supply would run out before they could even make it to the tenth floor.
‘We have to do something to minimize mana consumption…however, we cannot deactivate Freeze’s safety whisper…’ Shye thought, the gears of his mind shifting and turning as if a well-oiled machine.

The traps were only getting more dangerous. Reducing Freeze’s mana consumption wasn’t an option.
‘In that case…’
Turning his head as he looked at Mira and Walter, the young ashen-haired party leader spoke:
“Walter, Mira. You two are not allowed to participate in battle without my permission. Save your mana for the boss fights.”
Upon hearing Shye’s words, the two mentioned members nodded in understanding, their highly intelligent minds working in perfect harmony with their party leader’s.
Unfortunately, not everyone was smart.
“What?! What kind of decision is that, Crowley?! Without Mira’s healing and Walter’s damage, it will be even harder for me! Why should I have to work harder than I already am?!” Dalton complained, his brain failing to grasp the essence of Shye’s decision.
“Sigh…when will your damned brain work, ape? Which one would you prefer to fight without Mira and Walter’s assistance, random monstrous creatures guarding the floors or the dungeon boss on the tenth floor?” He asked, slightly amazed at how idiotic Dalton was.
It was difficult to fathom how the guy survived all this time with such a nonexistent brain.
“Huh? The monstrous creatures guarding each floor, of course! Why the hell would I want to fight the dungeon boss without Walter and Mira’s assistance? Are you a friggin idiot?!”
“Sigh…I’m done explaining to this idiot. Can you guys please explain to him?” Shye replied in resignation, turning around to resume his task of navigating the party through the dungeon, giving not a single barren sh*t about his idiotic teammate.
Realizing that this was his chance to talk down to Dalton, Walter happily took on Shye’s request, beaming.
“Hahaha! Why is your brain like this? This is naturally due to our mana potion reserves! If we use mana to fight random monsters, then we would run out of mana before we can even fight the dungeon boss.”
The young mage’s words suddenly enlightened Dalton. However, driven by his desire to avoid embarrassment, he replied without thinking.
“T-Then, just fight without using mana!”
“…”
Nobody even paid Dalton attention anymore. There should be a limit to one’s idiocy, after all.
Luckily for him, time truly does heal.
After around four days, the extermination party was finally able to locate the descending staircase and defeat its guardian, allowing Dalton to forget about the humiliation he brought upon himself a few days prior.
Only, the extermination party couldn’t immediately descend. They were faced with another hard choice.
Before them were two staircases, one leading to the ninth floor and one leading directly to the tenth.
Being the wusses they were, Dalton, Walter, and Freeze opted to go directly to the tenth floor.
There was no need to brave the ninth if they could directly head to the tenth, was there? Even Mira was thinking the same.
However, Rai Hou couldn’t help but doubt the “authenticity” of this tenth-floor offer. Shye was rather skeptical as well.
Unfortunately, he had no choice. Shye was in for yet another round of difficult explanations.
