Shye’s eyes blinked calmly as he stared at the easy-to-complete mandatory quest.

His subtle and seasoned hand movements—as swift as a hummingbird yet as delicate as a butterfly—allowed him to access the system and check the recently posted mandatory quest without his party members finding out.

He had been doing this for years. It was nearly impossible to catch him.

However, despite his unbothered exterior, Shye was inwardly fuming, his heart ablaze in anger. His attention wasn’t on the mandatory quest at all.

‘That damned peeping old bastard! I should’ve known he had been watching my every move!’ he raged internally.

The old man could have spied on him whenever he was with Shirley!

‘I’ll confront that old bastard the next time we meet… If he had the nerve to spy on me like a damned pervert… I’ll make sure to kill him one day…’ Shye swore inwardly.

Sanada, who he once viewed as his benefactor, turned out to be a manipulative fraudster.

He didn’t want to stay inside the Horza Blaidde Mana Dungeon for a longer time than necessary.

As a result, he couldn’t think clearly, rendering his high intelligence useless. His nearly nonexistent bravery would be his undoing someday.

“Calm down, you wussy stickman. What if we need some sort of item on the ninth floor to locate and access the boss room and the dungeon’s core?” Shye retorted.

“If we head straight to the tenth floor only to discover we need a specific item, we would have to return to the ninth floor, clear the entire area, and then tackle the tenth floor again because the monsters would have respawned by then. Essentially, we would end up clearing the tenth and most difficult floor twice.”

“Now, if you think you’re still right, then fine, let’s do it your way. However, if the scenario I just explained happened, all of us here will hold you responsible. So, what will it be, Walter?”

Shye honestly didn’t know if they needed some bullcrap item he was talking about.

However, he was certain that Walter would never have the courage to decide for the team when faced with the threat of responsibility.
