Chapter 594: Curse Cleansing Operation
*FWING!*
A beam of azure light descended from the heavens, striking the center of Balkrow City’s square and initially instilling fear in the hearts of those nearby.
However, as fourteen individuals emerged as the azure glow dissipated, the fear in their hearts was quickly replaced by curiosity, then shock.
They quickly recognized the ashen-haired youth: the young man who had brought immense pride and glory to the city, raising its regional ranking from a modest 257th to an impressive 30th for producing someone of his caliber.
“Shye Crowley!”
“Hey, Shye Crowley is back!”
The onlookers quickly flocked towards Shye, while some haters stood at the side, glaring at him unsatisfactorily, though none of them dared make a move.
Shye naturally nodded amiably at his fans who wanted to get close to him.
However, he also kept them at bay by ordering the ten diamond-ranked priests to cast physical barriers, ensuring that their journey toward Seira’s house would be smooth.
Since he was someone who can be considered to have made it even on the big stage, none of his fans dared disrespect his boundaries.
They were content just following him around while he was in Balkrow.
Who knows? They might get some benefits by doing so!
A few minutes later, Shye’s cleansing group arrived at a modest purple house, featuring a spacious front lawn with a porch and a hammock.
The house looked cozy and inviting, yet somehow it radiated a wintry, unpleasant aura, one that reeked of death.
Seira quickly opened the door, entering with an anxious expression on her face.
Somehow, despite believing that she still had around two weeks before her mother and little brother succumbed to the curse, Seira couldn’t shake the ominous feeling that something bad would happen if she didn’t acquire her boss’ assistance within the week.
It didn’t take long for her to find out that her worries were a hundred percent correct as the caretaker she hired was nowhere to be found.
Furthermore, the appliances she bought were nowhere to be found.
“THAT DAMNED THIEF!” She cursed, her body shaking in fury.
Then, just a few moments later, she managed to momentarily overcome her anger, allowing her to think rationally.
“Mom!! Soren!!!” Seira exclaimed in horror upon seeing the unknown state of her mother and little brother.
Their bodies were eerily emaciated, with ribcages and cheekbones starkly visible. Flies buzzed around them, and the air was thick with a foul odor, reminiscent of decay.
At least the wretched caretaker had enough conscience to change their diapers and feed them once a day, sometimes twice.
Otherwise, the two would have already succumbed to hunger and thirst before the curse could even claim their lives.
Fuming with tears in her eyes, Seira dashed outside, her pitiful appearance enough to enslave the hearts of men and cause the downfall of cities.
Meanwhile, outside Seira’s house, a certain male shorty just a wee bit taller than Seira was somehow passing by with immaculate timing.
Chiisai Otoko, the man determined to win Seira Ramah’s heart, arrived just in time to see his beloved, whom he thought he wouldn’t see for years, crying as she ran out of the purple house’s door.
‘Seira!’ He thought, instinctively using [Blink] to bypass Shye and the others, reappearing in front of Seira and extending his arms to accommodate her.
Naturally, upon feeling what she believed to be Shye’s warm chest, Seira was initially surprised, fearing that Shirley might erupt in anger once more.
However, after crying against the chest for a few moments, she realized that Shirley had no intention of intervening.

Seira concluded that Shirley was allowing her to seek comfort, at least for the time being, understanding her heartache.
At that moment, a familiar voice, though not her boss’s, echoed in front of her, causing Seira to pause her tears and look up.
“There, there, Miss Seira. No need to cry any longer, for I, Chiisai, am here to offer you warmth…”
“NO!! WHY IS IT YOU?! WHERE DID YOU POP OUT FROM?!” *PAH!!*
Seira’s horrified scream followed by the crisp sound of a small palm hitting a small cheek echoed across the street, eliciting gasps of schadenfreude from the onlookers who followed Shye’s small group.
Chiisai, a fragile mage, hurtled across the street after being slapped by a diamond-ranked warrior, his once handsome face rearranged to one side, snot dripping down his nose.
The poor guy only wanted to help by comforting the damsel in distress.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the warmth he provided that was desired by the young, heartbroken maiden.
His surprising entrance and exit were exactly what Seira needed, however, to wake up and seek help for her mother and little brother, who were in extremely bad condition, if not already dead.
“B-Boss! Never mind that guy! Please help my mom and little brother!” She pleaded, prompting Shye to quickly take action and enter the house.
‘Appraisal!’
Shye quickly used appraisal to assess their statuses, his frown deepening upon noticing that their hit points had dropped to just five out of the original one hundred.
They were indeed on the brink of death.
If Shye’s group didn’t arrive within the day, the two would become cold corpses.
Fortunately, despite their dire state, they were still alive, as evidenced by the absence of a “(Corpse)” indicator beside their names in the appraisal results.
“Don’t worry, Seira. They’re still alive,” Shye reassured her, prompting Seira to breathe a sigh of relief as her knees weakened slightly, the adrenaline draining from her system.
If her boss said they were alive, then they were bound to be fine.
The thorn embedded deep in her heart and soul was finally about to be removed…
“Donovan, Alicia, cast Greater Heal,” commanded Shye.
“Yes, division leader.”
As the golden ray of life and warmth touched Seira’s mother and little brother, their hitpoints were restored by just one point, which caused a frown to appear on Shye’s face.
Due to this, he instructed all of his subordinates to cast [Greater Heal], raising their hitpoints to ten and slightly easing the tension in their expressions.
For now, they were no longer in immediate danger.
Next, Shye administered costly nutritional tonics and cleansing potions, worth hundreds or even thousands of gold coins, which further restored their hitpoints and left the priests and priestesses who came to assist in awe.
Witnessing their countenances changing for the better, Seira sobbed in pure joy, inwardly vowing to follow Shye for life.
Subsequently, Shye signaled for the priests and priestesses to proceed, prompting them to direct their life staffs toward the beds.
Their actions conjured a vast golden magic circle to appear beneath Seira’s mother and little brother.
“Cleanse!”
