Chapter 643: Power Tripping
“Boss! Slap this bitch unconscious!!” Seira yelled at the top of her lungs as Shye ascended the stage.
Sometimes, ignorance really was bliss, as the limited knowledge she had prevented her from grasping the seriousness of her words.
Seira had just referred to the tenth-ranked adamantite as a “bitch” without a second thought.
Naturally, Karsa was enraged by Seira’s not only disrespectful but downright degrading remarks, prompting her to turn to look at Shye’s underlings and seek to identify who had dared to insult her in such a manner.
Fortunately for Seira, before the opposing leader could spot her, the equally irritating Colzen group spoke up, effectively diverting Karsa’s wrath and spreading it evenly among them.
“Hahaha! That’s right, Shye, knock her out cold! I, Ian Izanagi, approve!”
“Hahahaha! At least leave her with a tooth or two, Crowley!”
“David, you’re going soft! Why not knock them all out of her vicious mouth?!”
With this, Karsa’s hatred extended not just to Seira but to the entire group, increasing the midget’s chances of survival by blending in with the others rather than being singled out.
Karsa wasn’t having any of it, though, her body trembling with rage.
She couldn’t believe the day had come when newcomers would dare to blatantly disrespect her, the top-ranked adventurer of Raven’s Blade.
For three years now she had reigned supreme. None daring to meet her eye-to-eye including other adamantites for fear of earning her ire.
She was, after all, infamous for delivering swift judgment on anyone who dared challenge her or threaten her status.
As long as people avoided those two offenses, they were safe from Karsa Bloodwinter’s wrath.
She showed only a bit more patience and understanding toward those ranked higher than her.
Everyone else, including the eleventh-ranked adventurer in all of Valenzia, would do well to be mindful of what displeased her—or risk getting on her bad side.
She was a well-known vicious individual.
However, Shye didn’t give a f*ck about her now, though he was wary of her at the beginning of his career.
Since she dared offer her face, he would naturally give her one flaming slap she wouldn’t forget.
“Hahahaha, forgive my friends, they’re just jesting around.” Shye chuckled, capturing the fuming Karsa’s attention.
“You better watch your friends properly, Crowley, they don’t want to be messing around with me.” The woman threatened with narrowed eyes.
“And recording’s done! You shouldn’t be calling me Crowley, Little Karsa. You should address me as either Sir Crowley or Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn, don’t you think?” Shye quipped, waving a small recording crystal, causing Karsa’s eyes to narrow even more.
It was an unbreakable rule throughout all regions that heroes must never be addressed casually.
If a hero were disrespected by another adventurer, even the top-ranked adamantite, that adventurer would be stripped of their license by the WAA.
“You mess with my friends, and I’ll ruin both you and your friends’ careers. However, I’ll allow battles between those of the same rank. If you have any mithril-ranked adventurers who want to challenge them, feel free.”
Of course, Shye had no plans of actually using such a low-class move to destroy Karsa should she dare to put her hands on his friends.
It was just that he wanted to teach her a lesson not to challenge him, a hero, in terms of who had more authority in Valenzia City.
He wanted to thoroughly humble her.
If she dared touch those important to him, he shall make Karsa understand the meaning of the word “wrath”.
After all, he had no “hero image” to uphold, since he’d soon be known as a villain anyway.

He might as well teach black-hearted people like her a harsh lesson, as ruthlessly as possible within reason, to make them think twice before committing such wicked acts again.
Upon hearing how high and mighty Shye was acting, Karsa gnashed her teeth and almost erupted in fury.
This was the first time in her life she had been suppressed this much by someone much younger than her.
‘I should’ve taught this little bastard a lesson a bit earlier!’ was the thought that lingered in her mind for quite some time.
Unfortunately, Shye wasn’t done infuriating her yet.
“Now that you’ve learned not to disrespect your region’s hero, we can begin the duel. I’ll let you make the first move—otherwise, people might accuse me of being a bully.”
Shye expected people to see his words as extremely arrogant.
However, contrary to his expectations, they admired him for being genuine—staying true to his usual self rather than putting on a false “kind and heroic” facade.
Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn was still the same Shye Crowley.
He would continue to hold up the sky for them with the same arrogance as ever.
Of course, Karsa finally couldn’t take all the insults, her rage bursting out like an angry volcano.
“SHYE CROWLEY!!” she roared in fury, her two katanas—one glowing with light and the other shrouded in darkness—glinting dangerously as she madly charged forward, seething with rage.
‘Hoh, a dual-wielding warrior like me, huh?’ Shye thought inwardly, smiling as he drew his greatswords, Darky and Murky.
Karsa was fast. However, unfortunately, she was merely a human. She could never be as fast as an (S) ranked monstrous creature specializing in speed and power.
Hence, Shye was easily able to angle both greatswords to defend against her attack easily.
‘Hmm? She’s pretty strong…’ Shye thought inwardly with a wicked smile.
None of these individuals had the system, so they could never be as well-rounded as he was.
Karsa’s speed and strength meant she lacked toughness.
‘Her stamina is probably not that great either…’
Realizing that he could easily match the older, higher-ranked adventurer in terms of physical attributes, Shye’s confidence grew.
‘Now, the only thing I need to worry about is her trump cards…’
“Pfft… That’s it?” Shye stifled a laugh, taunting Karsa once again. “After all that shouting, I thought you were going to finish me off or something…”
