Chapter 671: Are You Even Human?
“Hm? What location is this?” Aeolus wondered as it looked around, somehow magically forgetting it was angry.
It was now in a strange, all-white place. There was nothing else except for its existence.
Only for a few seconds, though, as soon after, a black human silhouette appeared in front of it, rekindling the flames of anger in its heart.
“YOU!! WHERE DID YOU TAKE ME?!” The Wind Dragon roared.
Unfortunately, the black silhouette didn’t respond. It merely continued walking closer to Aeolus.
As the humanoid figure drew closer, the Wind Dragon finally saw its full appearance and fully sensed its aura, sending a surge of wariness through the proud draconian’s heart.
The black human silhouette did not have a face!
In fact, all it had was its humanoid shape—the same as that of the young human who intruded upon its territory.
However, its aura was terrifying, far more so than even the Phoenix—the only being that had ever instilled fear in the dragon’s heart.
‘A human… is making me feel fear? Me? A proud dragon?’ Aeolus thought in disbelief as he realized he had instinctively taken a step back from the black humanoid’s aura.
“UNACCEPTABLE!! I AM A DRAGON! I MAY DIE, BUT I WILL NEVER FEAR AN INFERIOR SPECIES!”
After a roar of unwillingness, the Wind Dragon walked forward to meet the human, forcibly casting the dread taking root in its heart.
It decided to fight the black humanoid instead.
Shye’s featureless silhouette embodied the peak of his present combat strength, the limits of his physical capabilities, and the boundless potential he had yet to unlock.
It was understandable why it was seemingly invincible.
Even dragons have a limit to their potential, though their skill and attribute ceiling are normally way higher than humans.
Unfortunately for Aeolus, the combination of Shye’s [Limitless Physique] talent and old man Sanada’s Flashy Adventurer System made his black silhouette nearly invincible in the realm of heart and mind, striking unparalleled terror—even in dragons.
One could only imagine the terror poor little Nookie endured with its fragile necrollin physique.
Its power, after all, lay in commanding a terrifying army of corpses.
Puppeteers had always been vulnerable when left on their own.
Meanwhile, despite its best efforts to uphold a brave facade, bolstered by its pride, the Wind Dragon slowly yielded to fear.
As it stood before the black silhouette, it trembled.
Aeolus had never faced such a terrifying being before.
Trying its best to recall what happened earlier, the Wind Dragon remembered the last words it heard from the human before waking up to this world of white.
‘Tame…’ Aeolus thought inwardly, shaking. ‘Is this black humanoid a product of that [Tame] skill?’
Believing so, the Wind Dragon managed to recover its courage, a [Draconic Origin Bomb Lv.5 (Rare)] forming in its mouth.
“I’ve uncovered your trick, human!” Aeolus bellowed, unleashing the massive red sphere from its mouth toward the black humanoid.
In the next instant, a devastating explosion erupted, filling the air with thick black smoke as the deafening roar of dragons echoed through the white void.
It was a clean hit that brought a wild smile to the young Wind Dragon’s face.
“Hahahaha! Do you think you can make me, a dragon, submit? Delusional!”

It believed that the black humanoid had already been obliterated and that the world of white should be dissolving soon.
Unfortunately, no such thing happened. It remained stuck inside the world that resembled a white void.
After around half a minute, the thick black smoke finally cleared, revealing the unscathed black humanoid.
Aeolus’ eyes nearly bulged from their sockets at the sight of its unscathed opponent.
In the next moment, a sharp pain pierced the Wind Dragon’s head as a single punch from the black humanoid sent it flying.
Strangely, though the punch had struck its armored chest—shattering scales as evidence—Aeolus didn’t feel the pain there.
It instead radiated from its head.
The Wind Dragon felt as though an incredibly heavy object had struck its head, threatening to crush its sturdy skull.
Unfortunately, its ordeal didn’t end there.
Before it could even realize what was happening, its black adversary charged forward again, launching a flying kick aimed at Aeolus.
Having just landed on its back, the Wind Dragon had no way to escape.
Thus, even though it saw the black humanoid prepare another attack, Aeolus couldn’t evade it and was struck squarely on its side, sending shards of its shattered scales flying in every direction.
Once more, it was sent hurtling backward, suffering from a splitting headache, its determination waning after enduring yet another powerful blow.
It felt as though the battle would drag on indefinitely, as the Wind Dragon experienced nothing but headaches, without any other form of pain.
Aeolus desperately longed for death, but it was impossible; the white void wouldn’t permit it.
At this rate, its mind would give out first, and the Wind Dragon had no idea what would become of its true body if that happened.
Would it turn into a mindless, empty shell? It didn’t know.
And it didn’t want to find out.
Struggling desperately, Aeolus flapped its wings, forcibly regaining its balance and dodging the black humanoid’s next attack.
“I WILL NEVER LOSE!!” it roared, soaring high into the white void and conjuring a series of cataclysmic winds, unleashing everything from razor-sharp wind cutters to terrifying tornadoes and fierce windstorms, all of which made their way towards the Wind Dragon’s adversary.
Strangely, the black humanoid didn’t even attempt to dodge.
It was struck squarely and engulfed by everything Aeolus unleashed.
Had the black humanoid been Shye himself, he would have been teetering on the brink of life and death, if not already dead.
However, even though it represented Shye, the black humanoid’s total combat power encompassed not just his current abilities but also the potential of his future self, resulting in an invincible devastation incarnate that could not be harmed by the winds of a mere young Wind Dragon.
Sure enough, as the roaring gale calmed down, the black humanoid’s unscathed figure was once again revealed.
“You…Are you even human?!”
