Chapter 708: The Main Event Of The Evening
“Magnificently done, Albus Verona of the Poison Cloud. PUHAAHK!”
A middle-aged voice echoed through the grand halls, immediately followed by the thud of a body hitting the hard floor of the blue dome.
The thirty-seven-year-old hero, Amir Dawson of the Growling Peak, was by no means weak, as even the Yon Augennian youths were in awe of his display of abilities.
Unfortunately, Albus was just too much for him.
Within five minutes, Amir’s simulated body was overwhelmed by a multitude of poisons—most of which he had no idea how he’d been afflicted with.
The toxins slowly consumed him, and his body dissolved into an azure beam of light that reformed into a healthy Amir outside the blue dome.
It was an overwhelming victory for the Chellione Region’s scout hero.
The Phaskaldans were understandably heartbroken, but seeing how cheerful Amir was after the battle eased much of their sadness.
The youngsters of his region learned a great deal from him despite his loss.
Following the first battle, which significantly elevated the prestige of Chellione’s young scout hero, the event continued as middle-aged heroes from various regions took turns challenging one another.
The regions won some and lost some.
However, one thing was certain: the youngsters were in awe, no matter which region the heroes came from.
It was widely understood that the standards for becoming a hero were consistent across all regions.
This was why Valenzia had never produced any heroes in the past and why Krebori currently had only five heroes.
Every hero had met those nearly impossible requirements—demanding a blend of talent, luck, and courage—so none of the youngsters dared to look down on heroes, not even those from Krebori, knowing that these individuals had passed the rigorous tests while they had not.
Finally, after about ten matches, the veterans’ enthusiasm waned, leaving an awkward silence as no more challenges were issued.
Sensing this, Moderator Scarlet swiftly stepped in, expertly breaking the silence before it could linger for more than a few seconds.
“What awe-inspiring battles from our veterans! Did these seasoned warriors unleash their full power? None of us can say for sure! But I do know that we are about to witness the brilliance of the brightest among the younger generation.”
“Without further ado, though introductions are hardly necessary, let me present to you the four newly inaugurated young heroes!”
Thunderous cheers and applause filled the grand hall as the youngsters erupted with excitement.
Even the regions accustomed to not winning in the inter-regional sparring matches quickly moved past their defeat, now eagerly anticipating the next part
This was especially so for the Hakk’Shattans.
After all, they not only got to see the irritating Fanfirians fall but also had a representative who would be participating in this portion of the event.
They were easily the happiest among the losers of the previous portion.
“First, hailing from Hakk’Shatta, this twenty-six-year-old young man has consistently shattered record after record in his region, accomplishing feats no other Hakk’Shattan has achieved at his age! Let’s give a big round of applause for Van Smolders of the Roaring Flame!”
The young Hakk’Shattans erupted in cheers as their young hero was introduced, their faces slightly flushed from their excitement.
It was as if they were releasing the frustrations from their earlier defeat.
Naturally, people from the other regions sneered in disdain at their behavior, considering it rather pathetic for the Hakk’Shattans to cheer as if their young hero had already triumphed over the other three.
Meanwhile, a towering young man, standing six feet four inches tall with striking red spiky hair and a muscular physique even more pronounced than Shye’s, rose from the Hakk’Shattan table and made his way toward his designated seat on the elevated platform prepared for him by the event organizers.
The young man embodied the essence of roaring flames as even his face sported a naturally aggressive look.

Additionally, he was exceptionally handsome, able to make the hearts of young maidens flutter simply by being in the presence of his overflowing masculinity.
After bowing to the crowd with a perfect blend of confidence and humility, Van Smolders of the Roaring Flame took his seat, allowing Moderator Scarlet to introduce the next young hero—more accurately, the next heroine.
“Next, we have the only heroine among the four.” The gorgeous moderator began, pausing slightly before continuing. “Hailing from the second-ranked region of Deltra, this twenty-six-year-old woman faced fierce competition. Yet, she not only emerged victorious but also left her peers behind, as no one in her region has achieved such feats at a similar age in the past five centuries!”
“Her most remarkable accomplishment was when she, as a young hero candidate, led a diverse party of titled adventurers and champions to slay a fully mature Fire Dragon that had been terrorizing a specific part of Deltra for the past four months.”
“Thanks to her party’s success in defeating this apex monster, the Deltrans of the south could finally live in peace without the constant fear of losing their lives and a Fire Dragon destroying their homes.”
“Please give a round of applause for the one and only, Axelle Vespertine of the Scorching Luminosity!”
In the next moment, a stunning beauty with long blonde hair, golden eyes, and a petite figure rose to her feet, her expression aloof.
She then walked directly to her designated seat on the elevated platform a few meters away from Van Smolders and sat down without bowing or speaking.
She exuded youthful arrogance.
However, rather than an old veteran hero reprimanding her, everyone found her behavior oddly fitting.
Even Moderator Scarlet shared this sentiment.
As a result, she simply moved on, directing her attention to the next young hero.
Turning her gaze to the handsome young man with short gray hair, a slim yet toned physique, and an apathetic expression, Scarlet smiled and adjusted her mana-powered microphone close to her mouth.
Even Shye turned his head to look at the young man who reeked of elitism.
‘Alexander Aphelion, huh? Let’s see what you’re capable of. Appraisal!’
