Chapter 726: The Two Beauties’ First Visit
Shye put on a grim expression as he used the Valenzia return scroll to teleport out of the venue, reappearing moments later at the special teleporter in Valenzia Square.
He then asked the administrator if a black-haired young man returned using the teleporter an hour earlier than him.
Unfortunately, it appears that Siegfried hasn’t returned using a Valenzia return scroll.
He may have used a different method or hasn’t returned at all.
‘Or maybe he used the tweaked emergency escape talisman I gave him?’ Shye wondered as he thanked the administrator, quickly heading towards the guild.
He then met up with Shirley and the others, asking them if Siegfried had returned.
Their answer was the same as that of the special teleporter administrator.
Concerned, Lesurii asked Shye what had happened.
He answered patiently, explaining that while Siegfried was safe, he had left the venue an hour before him.
This news distressed the young miss of the Kusanagi Clan, who had unsuccessfully tried to contact her lover.
While Lesurii continued to desperately try to contact Siegfried using her mana communicator, Ian asked Shye about Kiin, who, like Siegfried, did not return with them.
They thought Kiin stayed behind to help Shye. Unfortunately, it seemed that it wasn’t the case.
Shye naturally pretended to be concerned, even though he already knew Kiin’s whereabouts.
He told everyone to leave the search for Kiin and Siegfried to him, assured them that his WAA connections would help locate the two, and advised them to rest and resume their training for now.
Lesurii knew that it would indeed be better to leave things to Shye, so she complied with his orders despite being distraught with worry.
Shye was in a hurry, so after informing everyone that both Kiin and Siegfried were missing, he left the guild and sent a message to Shirley and Seira using the tweaked mana communicator he had given them.
The communicators had been modified by Hadean Varsa to ensure that the WAA wouldn’t be able to track their conversations, even if they asked the Manasoft Corporation to cooperate.
About half an hour later…
“Huff… Huff… Boss, we’re here!”
“Shye, why did you call us so suddenly? Did something happen to those two?”
Seira and Shirley said as they met up with Shye at their usual spot behind an enormous spruce tree outside Valenzia City.
“Well, the truth is, the emergency escape talisman I gave them was altered,” Shye explained. “When used, it sends the person to a special prison within our organization’s headquarters. I’m confident Kiin ended up there, but I’m unsure about Siegfried’s location. For now, let’s head to headquarters and see. Don’t worry, we’ll be back in Valenzia City in a few hours.”
After a brief explanation of what truly transpired, Shye gave the two of them a Hadean Varsa return scroll, which Shirley received without hesitation.
On the other hand, Seira was shaking as she extended her arms to receive the purple scroll.
Since this was their first time visiting the headquarters of the world’s most notorious terrorist organization, Seira’s reaction was understandable.
In contrast, Shirley had a much deeper trust in Shye, having known him far longer than the grape-haired midget, which is why she wasn’t nervous at all.
Nonetheless, Seira still trusted Shye a great deal, so she also activated the scroll despite her wildly racing heart.
The next moment, the trio found themselves swallowed by a black magic circle, reappearing the next moment at an empty metal room with an enormous teleportation formation.
Shye quickly put on his white Hadean Varsa mask to prevent a repeat of last time, when the guards had recognized him.
Exiting the empty metal room through the only door, Shye and the two beauties arrived at another empty metal room where three elite guards were stationed.

The captain immediately approached him, demanding, “Show me your crest or badge,” his expression stern and his hands gripping his sword tightly, ready to strike.
Since Shye didn’t yet possess his Hadean Varsa crest to allow for free movement in society, he took out the honorary commander badge given to him by the old man and presented it to the guard captain.
Upon seeing the Hadean Varsa badge Shye presented, the guard captain’s eyes widened, and he immediately offered a deep bow.
“C-C-Commander! I apologize for delaying your matters; please proceed,” the captain said, a hint of panic in his voice, prompting the other two elite guards to follow suit.
“No worries, keep up the good work.” Shye generously praised like a true commander, impressing both beauties behind him.
After exiting the room and entering the hallways, Seira, struggling to keep her mouth shut, finally let the words she had been holding back spill out.
“B-Boss! Y-You were a commander of Hadean Varsa? Amazing… as expected of my boss.”
Shirley didn’t speak, but it was clear she was also impressed by Shye’s high rank within the organization.
Shye genuinely enjoyed their reactions, though he felt a bit embarrassed since the old man had suddenly appointed him as a commander.
He hadn’t put in any effort to earn his position at all.
Nonetheless, there was no need to admit such a truth, so he simply continued walking towards the old man’s room.
A few minutes later, the three of them arrived in front of a huge metal door.
“Old man, I’m here.”
“Come in.”
Glancing at Shirley and Seira and nodding at them, Shye opened the door.
His eyes then narrowed at what he saw.
The entire room was in disarray, clearly indicating that Sanada had just finished venting his anger, as he was still breathing heavily, while his appearance was that of the terrifying hermit Shye had encountered back in the beginner adventurer zone of Colzen City.
Shirley and Seira felt fear gripping their hearts at the sight of the old man.
This was the Hadean Varsa leader Shye had told them about, the former legendary Voidweaver, Sanada Eiichiro.
The scowl on the old man’s horrifying face only intensified the dread in the hearts of the two beauties.
Realizing there were two youngsters behind Shye, Sanada forced himself to calm down, transforming his appearance into that of a friendly neighborhood grandpa.
“I apologize for scaring you, young ladies. Don’t worry, I won’t take my frustrations out on you,” the old man assured, somewhat easing the fear in Seira and Shirley’s hearts. “Well then, lad, shall we interview your prisoner?”
