Chapter 730: Crazy Methods for Crazy People
“F*ck! F*ck!!” Kiin cursed, throwing his spatial bag hard to his inn room’s bed.
He was forced to join Hadean Varsa, as he couldn’t allow himself to be imprisoned at all costs.
Still, he was resolved to play the role, convinced he’d eventually be able to think of a loophole sooner or later.
The most frustrating aspect of the mana oath was that he couldn’t say anything even close to “Hadean Varsa” or “terrorist group,” along with several other forbidden terms.
If he so much as whispered or wrote one of these words to someone lacking a Hadean Varsa crest or badge, his soul would be consumed after his throat burst open.
He’d toyed with fire far too long, and now, it had consumed him.
Kiin needed to execute his role flawlessly; otherwise, he would certainly perish, leaving his mother alone for eternity.
‘Calm down, Kiin…’ he thought, taking one deep breath. ‘This is also a huge chance to obtain father’s acknowledgment. A loophole is what stands between you, endless glory, and a fulfilled promise…’
With this thought, he steadied himself and gazed out the window, eyes fixed on the distant horizon.
‘I’ll make this work…’
Two weeks quickly passed since Kiin joined Hadean Varsa.
Unfortunately, Siegfried was still nowhere to be found. He hadn’t even bothered to say goodbye to Shirley, Seira, or the others.
Unbeknownst to the battle maniac, Shye, Shirley, and Seira already viewed him as a traitor.
Because of this, the two young women couldn’t help but look at the downcast Lesurii with pity, convinced that Siegfried was unlikely to return.
They were right.
Two more days later, they were informed by Soaring Raven that Siegfried Lionheart had transferred guilds, and he would now be joining the third-ranked adventurer guild in Yon Augenn City, Sovereign’s Gate.
Shye, of course, did some research and discovered that the guild was one of many under Dweezel Hawkins’ supervision.
He was supporting the growth of young adventurers across twenty guilds worldwide, including Valenzia’s Divine Judgment Adventurer Guild.
This only deepened the misunderstanding between them, as Shye believed that Siegfried had detected the trap he’d set, realized he was from a terrorist organization, and chosen to leave after deducing that Shye had already uncovered his identity as Dweezel’s agent.
To make matters worse, Siegfried still possessed the emergency escape talisman, which, if dismantled by a high-ranking arcanist, would expose his connection to Hadean Varsa.
This compelled Shye to accelerate his plans in society, convinced that his time was running out and that Dweezel’s operation to expose or secretly capture him was underway.
Ironically, Shye had no idea that his friend’s true reason for joining a different guild was simply a single-minded pursuit of growth.

Inside an enormous and luxurious office adorned with intricate light rune carvings on its walls and ceiling, a middle-aged man faced a black-haired young man.
“Siegfried Lionheart of Valenzia, we’ve heard a lot about your potential in combat from our guild’s prospect scouting team.” the bespectacled middle-aged man with blonde hair, a mustache, and a scholarly physique said. “To be honest, I didn’t expect you to accept our guild’s invitation, considering you’re rumored to be a close friend of the famed Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn, a legendary youngster. What compelled you to leave Valenzia?”
Upon hearing Guild Master Indomitable’s words, Siegfried let out a self-deprecating laugh, catching his new guild master by surprise.
He thought the young man would be oozing with confidence, contrasting with his current depressed appearance.
“To be honest, training there was already good.” Siegfried began, “The five-man party under Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn’s supervision was growing insanely fast. Faster than even the most elite youngster party of your guild, I believe.”
Indomitable naturally didn’t like what he heard.
However, being a wise and intelligent person, he chose not to refute his recruit’s claims, even though he didn’t believe them.

“Hoh? Then why did you leave?” the guild master asked.
“My peers and I were indeed growing quickly, but not fast enough to catch up to my close friend and rival, Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn,” Siegfried said, laughing self-deprecatingly again. “Heh, I can’t even refer to him by just his first name anymore.”
If anyone else heard Siegfried calling the legendary Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn “his rival”, they would be laughing at him to death, but not Indomitable.
He had once felt the same when he was younger, so he understood Siegfried’s feelings all too well.
His current wife was, after all, leaving him in the dust when they were younger in terms of progress, causing feelings of inferiority to gnaw at him no matter how many times he told himself that he was doing alright.
In the end, he decided to adopt a crazy approach to personal growth.
Although his efforts and talent were not enough to take him to the very pinnacle of the adventurer world, he at least managed to make it to the base of the peak, which less than 0.1 percent of the population has managed to reach.
He even overtook his wife, allowing him to finally capture her heart when they were older.
This was why the guild master liked Siegfried even more after hearing his reason.
The young man was seriously trying to catch up to Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn!
“I saw him fight seriously a few days ago,” Siegfried suddenly interjected, pulling Indomitable out of his thoughts. “I… wouldn’t even last a minute against him now, which I don’t want. I want to stand beside him again, not be protected by him. So please, Guild Master Indomitable, do you have a way to help me grow exponentially stronger? I’ll do anything, no matter how outrageous the method, as long as it doesn’t involve soul arts.”
Hearing the young man’s words, Indomitable’s passionate heart was ignited once more.
He had decided to help the young man achieve his goals, crazy and seemingly unreachable as they might be.
“Hoh, I admire your determination, young man,” the guild master said with a nod, adjusting his glasses. “Very well. Since you’ve chosen our guild as your training ground, I’ll push you to the top—but standing side by side with Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn will depend entirely on how much you can endure the training I’ll put you through.”
After a pause, Indomitable locked eyes with Siegfried.
“Prepare yourself, Siegfried Lionheart. For the next few months—or possibly even years—your life will be nothing but relentless, grueling training, with no time for leisure. Your adventurer rank will remain stagnant for a while, but rest assured, once you complete this, reaching the top will come easily. You may even accomplish what I couldn’t… After all, even I only managed to withstand half of the ancient training method that forms the foundation of this entire guild.”
