“Well then, Nookie, with two overlord corpses at your disposal, I trust you can manage alone?” Shye asked with a smile, already knowing the answer.

“Certainly, Master Shye. I am deeply grateful for your assistance in securing my position within the Throgon Death Zone,” Nookie responded with genuine sincerity, bowing respectfully to its master. “Please leave the rest to me. By the time you return, my grand corpse army will be ready for battle!”

“Alright then, take care,” Shye replied.

It would be quite some time before the two of them would meet again, so Shye felt a bit sad, especially since Nookie was his first ever tamed monster.

Although he occasionally bullied the little necrollin every time they were together, he couldn’t deny that Nookie had a special place in his heart.

He could only wish the little imp good luck in its training.

After all, he, too, had important things to do.

The next moment, Shye rode Zeth, urging Shirley to do the same to Aemorus.

Earlier, Shye purchased the [Tame] skill using system points and converted it into a skill book, handing it over to Shirley.

Unfortunately, they still had to visit the nearest city to have her learn the skill through skill cylinders which could only be found in skill book shops.

This was why Shirley was rather nervous to ride the winged, white stallion, as she hadn’t tamed it yet.

“Master Shirley Locke, correct?” Aemorus asked, turning his head to look at the hesitating young woman beside him.

“Y-Yes, the name is right. But I haven’t officially tamed you yet, so there’s no need to call me master. You can just call me Shirley, even after the taming is done. A-And feel free to go hunting anytime you’d like. You’re not required to protect me all the time…” Shirley answered, making Aemorus chuckle.

“Haha, young master Shye, your companion is quite charming. I have a feeling we’ll get along well,” the white stallion joked, attempting to ease the tension with Shirley.

After all, she was going to be his master, and he preferred a more relaxed relationship.

Of course, Shye was all too happy to help the mythical creature break the ice.

“Hahahaha, isn’t she?” Shye laughed. “Oh well then, she’s a little shy, so just be patient with her. I leave her in your care, Aemorus.”

“Rest assured, young master Shye. I will ensure her safety,” Aemorus assured, glancing at Shirley once more. “Now then, Shirley, since you’ve allowed me to call you by name, I’ll gladly accept. Come, ride with me. I’ll show you my speed and earn your recognition!”

Hearing her beloved’s words, Zeth smiled.

She knew Aemorus was only teasing Shirley.

Ever since the two of them first met in Gomparo, Aemorus had a playful nature, always teaching her to loosen up and enjoy life.

“N-No! I already recognize both your strength and speed! T-There’s no need to prove anything!” Shirley said, quickly climbing onto Aemorus to show her sincerity. “I-I’m just a bit nervous about being the master of a mythical creature, especially since no one has ever accomplished that in human history…”

“Hohoh! Then you’re the first one, Shirley. Oh, how lucky am I to be with such an amazing master!” the white stallion joked further, enjoying the adorable reactions of his new master.

“I-It’s Shye who’s truly amazing! He’s the one who helped me reach this point… I’m really not as impressive as you think…”

Aemorus kept teasing Shirley as the four of them galloped toward Leafensburg City, gradually breaking the tension.

Before she knew it, she felt completely at ease with the white stallion, no longer thinking of him as a mighty mythical creature that was currently out of her league.

A few hours later, they arrived at Leafensburg City.

However, they unfortunately couldn’t bring Aemorus with them yet, since he’s not yet officially tamed.

After entering the city without any trouble, the couple made their way straight to a nearby skill shop, where they paid a small fee to activate the skill cylinder.

Once Shirley had learned the [Tame] skill, they quickly left the city, with Zeth transforming back into her mare form to help them reach Aemorus’ waiting spot more quickly.

“Hoh, so you’ve already learned the required skill to tame me, huh? Very well, I shall cooperate.” the white stallion said, walking closer to his soon-to-be master.

“T-Thank you, Aemorus. I may not be as strong or talented as Shye. However, I promise I’ll do my best to make you stronger!” Shirley vowed, earning a smile from the mythical creature.

Aemorus wanted to tell her that such a promise wasn’t necessary, as everything he did was for the sake of being with his beloved Zeth, whom he had been apart from for a century and a half.

However, seeing the young woman so determined, the white stallion couldn’t bring himself to dampen her enthusiasm.

Instead, he simply nodded in acknowledgment of her vow.

“Very well, I also promise to watch over your safety to the best of my abilities, Shirley Locke. Now then, use the skill!”

“Yes. Tame!”

After a brief, formal exchange, the two found themselves in a world of white.

But instead of clashing and destroying each other’s avatars, the black humanoid figure and the pegasus moved toward one another, the latter bowing with complete sincerity.

“I submit to my new master, Shirley Locke,” the pegasus declared. “I shall remain her companion until the end of our lives.”

The two lingered for only a few seconds within the white void.

However, to those outside, just a single second passed before a black rune appeared on Aemorus’ forehead, marking the beginning of Shirley’s master-tamed monster bond with the white stallion.

Witnessing this, both Shye and Zeth smiled. They were both happy for their dearest partners.

In the next moment, both Shirley and Aemorus awoke, smiling at each other.

“Congratulations, Shirley, Aemorus,” Shye said with a broad grin, giving them both a friendly tap on the shoulder. “Now then, shall we cause a commotion once more?”
