Chapter 81: Becoming A Legend
The crazy thing was, instead of panicking, Shye and Shin had slight smiles on the corner of their mouths and the reason for this was, yes, Shye was blown back and he couldn’t stand up to the raw strength of the warrior representative, but guess what? He managed to do his job and protect Shin.
Due to this, all of Shin’s subconscious doubts flew out the window and he was able to fully focus on taking down either the scout student or the priest student as he worked flawlessly with Ren Beckmann while entrusting his safety to Shye.
“Tch! Filthy freshman…”
The warrior student from Shadowglade Academy clicked his tongue in annoyance, he felt a bit humiliated that he wasn’t able to defeat Shye in a single hit.
However, he knew that he had a job so after removing Shye out of the way, he continued charging towards Shin.
Unfortunately for him, Shye wouldn’t let him go so easily.
He activated [Dash Lv.2] to instantly arrive in front of the warrior representative who was surprised that Shye still had the courage to stand in his way once more.
“Annoying freshman, you don’t belong here, get the fuck out of my way!”
*BANG*
“PUHAAH!”
Shye alarmingly spat out more blood after fully tanking the fourth-year student’s attack using his skill, [Stoic Lv.2] however, he was able to buy five more seconds for Shin and Ren.
On the other hand, the two-on-two battle between Ren, Shin, and the Shadowglade representatives was getting heated.
The enemy scout was evidently less skilled compared to Ren so he was slowly getting overwhelmed while the priest was struggling to help the scout and protect himself at the same time.
In addition to this, the priest was slowly running out of skills to protect himself.
However, it wasn’t only the priest who was running out of skills. Shye’s [Stoic Lv.2] just expired but the warrior representative named Acro still continued to charge toward Shin albeit with a very annoyed facial expression.
Finally, after another attack from Acro which was blocked using [Destructive Chop Lv.1], Shye couldn’t hold on and was blown back to the edge of the stage.
“Hahahaha! You fucking pipsqueak, how dare you stand in my way? I’ll deal with you later.”
Acro said to Shye before looking menacingly toward Shin who was focusing on taking down the priest.
He believed that Shye was out of the fight and that he could freely charge towards Shin now.
Unfortunately, he had to act fast because the final protective skill of the Shadowglade Academy’s priest, [Barrier Lv.2], had just expired and he had no other way to protect himself.
Unless their scout representative could somehow manage to defeat Ren Beckmann in a short time and protect the priest, then the priest was bound to get taken out.
However, at this rate, it seems that Acro would be able to take Shin out before Ren and Shin could take out the priest.
“Hahahaha! Farewell, Colzen Academy! Taste my blade, Shin Fernandez!!”
Acro had a crazy look on his face as he excitedly charged towards Shin who gnashed his teeth in defiance.
“Shit…Is this it for us?”
Shin thought to himself. However, he ultimately decided to take the priest down with him, and perhaps, Ren and Shye could work out a miracle even without him.
The deans, the instructors, the companion students, the representatives who were watching at the sidelines, and everyone else who was rooting for Colzen Academy clenched their fists.
They thought that this would be the end of Colzen Academy’s run in this year’s Adventurer Academy competition.
However, just as everyone started to give up, Shye, who was seemingly down and out of skills appeared out of nowhere and skewered Acro away from Shin using his skill [Rush Stab Lv.1].
“PUHAAAH!”

Acro spat out blood as he was skewered by Shye’s Daybreak and Nightbringer towards the edge of the stage.
“Dual Wielding!”
Everyone was shocked after Shye revealed all of his cards. They didn’t expect that this first-year substitute representative, who was seemingly down for the count, would appear out of nowhere and save the day for Colzen Academy.
After getting cleanly hit by Shye’s skill, although he wasn’t hurt that much, Acro was sent violently sliding back towards the edge of the stage as Shye’s greatswords stabbed quite deeply into the sides of his body.
Acro was a warrior and had a tough body so the damage wasn’t even enough to cause problems for him. What caused problems for him was, he was now at the edge of the stage and was very far from Shin.
Veins popped on the sides of Acro’s head as he looked down towards the first year who was panting and spitting out blood.
“YOU AGAIN! UNTIL WHEN WILL YOU CONTINUE TO BUG ME YOU LITTLE ANT?!”
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
Acro excessively beat up Shye due to anger before remembering that he had to help his teammates.
“Haaah…Haaahh…Shit! What happened to th–?!”
He quickly looked at the direction of the two-on-two battle between Ren, Shin, and two of their representatives, then, his eyes widened in shock but it quickly dimmed after seeing the results of the two-on-two.
His teammates…were both knocked out and only he was left standing to fight for Shadowglade Academy.
Acro already gave up after seeing that his teammates were defeated so he was quickly defeated by Ren and Shin.
“UOOHHHH!!!! COLZEN!!”
“GLORY TO COLZEN ACADEMY!!”
“CROWLEY!!”
The crowd erupted into cheers after Colzen Academy pulled off a miraculous comeback.
Everyone was on the edge of their seats while waiting for Acro to take Shin out but he was suddenly dragged to the edge of the stage by the first-year substitute representative.
Due to Acro’s failure to take out Shin on time, his teammates were wiped out.
Meanwhile, the students of Colzen Academy erupted into cheers and jumped up and down in celebration as they raised their fists in the air and repeatedly shouted Shye’s name once the victory was confirmed.
Of course, Maia herself was jumping up and down because she knew that although her big brother was simply beaten black and blue by his opponent, he was the MVP of the match.
Without his courage and dedication to protect Shin, coupled with his brilliant skill usage, Colzen Academy would have lost.
Unfortunately, Shye was unconscious so he didn’t know that he became a legend after his magnificent performance against Shadowglade Academy.
