Chapter 826: Comrades and Neighbors
“You vile scoundrels think you’ll succeed?!” bellowed a middle-aged man, his voice brimming with righteous fury. “Whatever scheme you’re hatching here, it’s doomed to fail! Doomed, I tell you! Do you hear me? Not a single thing will work!”
“Man, I’m getting tired of you and your whining, shut the hell up!”
*PAH!*
With 900 points in strength, Shye slapped Ironguard unconscious once more.
He was already frustrated that agents of the WAA had discovered his cave.
If he killed them, they would send reinforcements; if he didn’t let them return, they would still send more.
The only solution was to let them leave without them revealing the cave’s location to the WAA.
‘How can I accomplish that, though?’ Shye sighed.
Out of ideas, Shye chose to bid a temporary farewell to Dallis, Tarintus, and Nookie.
The latter was deeply grateful to him for saving it in the nick of time, refraining from scolding it for its mistake, and letting it slap the faces of the arrogant adventurers with its bony hands to satisfy its vindictive nature.
Things were proceeding smoothly.
The dragons have made up with Nookie, and the ogres respected the dragons, except for a select dumb few.
Nonetheless, there were no more disagreements happening, so Shye left the supervision of his tamed monsters to Dallis.
After securing the unconscious bodies with specialized handcuffs crafted by the organization’s soul artisans, Shye activated a mass teleportation scroll.
It took five full minutes of mana infusion before a massive teleportation circle, with the scroll at its core, appeared on the ground.
Such a feat would normally be impossible for one person, as it required the mana pool of at least five adamantite-level spellcasters.
Thanks to his [Mana’s Beloved Child (Epic)] talent, Shye was able to activate the scroll entirely on his own.
He placed all seven unconscious bodies at the center of the Hadean Varsa Mass Teleportation Circle before stepping into it himself.
In the next moment, they vanished, reappearing at the seldom-used mass teleportation destination circle within the Hadean Varsa Main Headquarters.
Noticing the light coming from the room, the guards outside drew their weapons and entered.
This was organization protocol.
However, when they realized the arrival was a Hadean Varsa Commander, distinguished by the commander mask exclusively worn by those bearing the Hadean Varsa crest, the guards’ expressions relaxed.
They then greeted with a bow:
“We greet the commander!”
With a nod, Shye raised his hands and ordered them to return to their posts, dragging the seven unconscious bodies with him as he exited the room.
The guards couldn’t help but cast glances at the captives, their eyes briefly widening in recognition.
There was no mistaking it!
Among the commander’s captives were titled adventurers from Yon Augenn and Deltra, and the white capes adorned with the WAA insignia only confirmed the guards’ suspicions.
A single commander taking out an entire party of titled adventurers and champions?
Only four individuals within the organization were known to possess such abilities, leaving the guards excited to be in the presence of one of them—even though they had no idea which commander it was.

Shye had no interest in indulging their reactions to his arrival, though, as his mind was consumed with trying to find a solution to the problem of his hidden army’s cave being found.
Soon, he arrived at one of the most secure prison cells inside the organization.
The area was dark, and the only source of light was the dim-purple glow of the crystals embedded in the dusty walls.
However, there were at least a hundred guards stationed all over the place—all extremely powerful elites, so the area didn’t feel too eerie.
Moreover, some of the prisoners were noisily chatting in boredom.
Strangely, only a few of them had grim looks on their faces, as most seemed to have already accepted their fate as prisoners of the most notorious terrorist organization.
Most of them have long resolved to die.
In fact, they wanted to die, unwilling to stay in such a place with filthy living conditions.
Shye and his prisoners, however, headed towards a different area—a more quiet one.
While the dark aesthetics remained the same, the prison cells were more spacious, with metal bars designed to prevent the important captives from escaping. These bars were incredibly tough and enchanted with various spells, including a mana-siphoning enchantment that kept the prisoners’ mana at non lethally low levels.
None of the prisoners could muster enough mana to cast even a single spell to save themselves.
Essentially, these cells were second only to Sanada’s Void Prison in terms of security, and they housed the organization’s most important prisoners, including the champions and titled adventurers captured during the probing operation.
All seven of them were held in cell number one.
On the other hand, the seven prisoners in Shye’s care were tossed into cell number two, right next to their comrades, separated only by thick metal bars.
Realizing who their new neighbors were, the eyes of those in cell number one widened in horror and disbelief.
“Ironguard! They’ve captured you too?!” asked one of the titled Yon Augenn adventurers caught in the probing operation.
Unfortunately, the veteran warrior was still unconscious.
Their conversations as fellow inmates would have to wait.
“Make sure to watch them well.” Shye reminded the guards before turning to leave, heading towards the old man’s room to ask for guidance.
“Yes, Commander!” The elite prison guards responded enthusiastically.
They relished mocking captives from the WAA, and the arrival of new targets would undoubtedly entertain them for at least a week.
Around fifteen minutes later, he arrived at the old man’s room, but it was unfortunately empty.
The old man was out.
He needed an urgent solution to his problem, so he retrieved his Hadean Varsa Mana Communicator, planning to give Sanada a call.
However, before he could do so, his communicator rang.
“The Supreme One” was who was calling.
The old man somehow read his mind and called him first.
“Tch, what a cringe title to give yourself, old fart,” he muttered before tapping the answer button.
“Come to the meeting room, lad.”
