Chapter 829: Unsealing Operation Assignments (1)
“Valenzia City?” Shye asked with narrowed eyes, confused. “Why?”
Despite his efforts, he didn’t have time and the organization didn’t have enough manpower to abduct everyone he cared about, and this was why he didn’t want his region to be embroiled in the war.
Unfortunately, it seemed that it was impossible, as the old man would definitely not do something meaningless, given his scheming nature.
He could only hope that the attack on the city wouldn’t be too heavy.
“We’re heavily outnumbered. We need to lure some of their forces away—preferably strong WAA agents from other regions—and lock them down in Valenzia. This will prevent them from teleporting to Yon Augenn using a device the old man’s researchers developed,” Maverick explained for Sanada, as he was the one who devised the plan after learning about the new teleportation-jamming device.
The device essentially creates an indestructible barrier with a fragile core, preventing anyone inside from escaping either physically through the barrier or via teleportation scrolls.
However, the use of magic spells is permitted.
This enables the Hadean Varsa forces to relocate to Yon Augenn using void portals or escape to the main headquarters if necessary while restricting their enemies’ reinforcements to only those with the required spells to teleport and respond to their attack.
Of course, these people could bring in one or two people with them using teleportation spells, but that’s it.
After all, mass teleportation is impossible to accomplish without the help of a scroll.
“The Valenzia strike force has several objectives to accomplish,” Sanada then chimed in and continued:
“First, take control of the City Hall and the WAA Valenzia Headquarters at a pace that is neither too fast nor too slow—just enough to bait reinforcements into coming.”
The old man paused briefly, scanning his commanders to confirm their understanding before continuing:
“The second objective is to place the barrier’s core in an extremely well-hidden location, prepared by the organization two months ago.”
“And finally, they must buy as much time as possible for the other strike forces to complete their tasks: conquering the capital cities of other regions, seizing control of broadcasting stations, City Halls, and WAA Headquarters.”
With the enemies’ strongest combatants tied down in Valenzia City, and with the support of various other operations and preparations that the old man was about to explain, achieving this goal shouldn’t be too difficult.
It would be the Valenzia Strike Force and the Yon Augenn Strike Force who will bear the heaviest tasks, though the latter’s objectives would naturally be way more dangerous and difficult to achieve than the former’s.
This was why the strongest combatants of the organization would be allocated to the Yon Augenn Strike force.
That said, they couldn’t afford to make the Valenzia Strike Force too weak, as it needed to create enough chaos in Valenzia City to buy the other forces the time they required.
“To those assigned to Valenzia, fret not—the forces of our vassal organizations will attack other Valenzian cities simultaneously. While you will face heavy pressure, accomplishing the final objective is possible as long as you fight with everything you have. Naturally, casualties are inevitable, so prepare for heavy losses,” Sanada said candidly, knowing better than to sugarcoat his words with his commanders.
Many would die.
This time, even the most seasoned commanders felt a chill of anxiety, except for a select few like Chaos, Cobra, and Shye.
These commanders were sure of their elites’ combat strength and weren’t as worried as the others.
Kirov, having been just recently promoted, was naturally nervous, unsure whether he could fill Hakkin’s shoes in terms of command.
As for combat prowess, he had already surpassed his former commander.
Training with the Black Dawn Unit turned out to be the correct decision.
Nonetheless, the old man already gave them a heads up that many would die, and this time, as the commander, he would have to bear the guilt of ordering his men to their deaths.
“Cobra, Alicia, Grover, and Hurkan your strike forces shall be the ones to attack Valenzia City and buy time for the forces attacking other regions.” The old man said, scanning his eyes over the four to confirm if they understood.
With a lazy nod from Cobra and a stern one from the other three, the old leader turned to Shye.
“Lad, I’ll also need your Vice Commander, Izanagi, along with two of your elite squadrons—preferably one mage squadron and one warrior squadron.”

Of course, Shye nodded in agreement.
He also needed someone to watch over his mom’s safety, as he didn’t trust the idiotic Cobra to lead the troops effectively.
Having a skilled duelist like Ian would certainly ease his mind.
‘I’ll send Seira’s squadron too, just to be sure…’ he thought, planning to dispatch Harry’s mage squadron alongside the midget’s warrior squadron.
Despite her rather goofy nature, Seira had become one of the best duelists under him.
She ranked just below Ian and Shirley in terms of raw dueling skill.
Moreover, Shye trusted her deeply, and with her around, he could be certain that any information he would receive regarding the state of the battle in Valenzia would be true to the most minor detail.
With his nod, the members of the Valenzia Strike Force have been finalized.
“Good,” the old terrorist leader nodded in satisfaction. “Two months from now, I will summon the commanders, vice commanders, and squadron captains involved in the Valenzia Strike Force. We will conduct a regular dry run of the operation every two weeks leading up to the operation day.”
Moving on, Sanada assigned the other commanders and their forces to their designated target cities, with Kirov and his men tasked with attacking the Hakk’Shatta Region’s Capital, La Bronca City.
Of course, the old man patiently explained each of their tasks in detail.
Although their tasks weren’t as heavy or dangerous as those of the Valenzia Strike Force, they were still crucial in the grand scheme of things.
The Yon Augenn Strike Force’s job would become exponentially harder the more commanders failed in their tasks.
This was why Sanada ensured that they understood the gravity of their tasks well.
After all, the Yon Augenn Strike Force, made up of their core forces, would be wiped out if they relaxed on the job and made a mistake.
Soon, all the other commanders, except for a few, had been informed of their assignments.
