Chapter 830: Unsealing Operation Assignments (2)
Four and a half elite units would attack Valenzia, while one unit each was assigned to the Krebori, Raumann, Phaskalda, Hakk’Shatta, Weaven, and Chellione regions.
Fanfir and Deltra were allocated two and a half units each.
This was the current force distribution.
As much as Sanada wanted to assign more forces to the other regions, the fact that his terrorist organization, operating outside societal norms, had managed to gather over twenty thousand devoted followers in just a few years was already remarkable.
These twenty thousand men were divided among the current twenty commanders, with each commander overseeing 800 to 1,500 men—though there were exceptions, such as Shye, Maverick, and Chaos.
Maverick commanded the largest force, with five thousand men under his leadership.
Chaos, on the other hand, held the second-largest contingent in the organization, with two thousand five hundred men at his beck and call.
On the other extreme end of the spectrum, there was Shye’s Black Dawn Unit—a small yet fast and ferocious force of three-hundred extremely strong elites.
From the current distribution, the Hadean Varsa Forces had already been stretched way too thin.
This was already the best distribution Maverick and the old man managed to come up with.
The capital cities of every region had a guard force of three thousand and above, with Yon Augenn even having a massive force of over fifteen thousand.
The Yon Augenn guard force alone was nearly equal in size to the entire Hadean Varsa Army.
If not for the monster horde occupying ten thousand of them, Maverick, Hakkin, and Alicia would have stood no chance of achieving their objectives.
In addition to the guard forces, mithril- and adamantite-ranked adventurers were abundant, with their numbers increasing as the capital city’s ranking among the ten regions rose.
This was why Sanada had to opt for the quality approach, as there was no way for him to win in terms of quantity.
He had to ensure that the quality of both his raiders and elites was higher than those of the WAA and the Hawkin Group.
Otherwise, achieving his goals was nothing but a pipe dream.
This was also why the old terrorist leader had to dabble in soul arts, raise hordes of monsters, and create a few forbidden trump cards for himself.
Unfortunately, everything he worked for in the past few decades was only enough to give him a chance at victory.
There was no guarantee of success.
In fact, there was a significant chance that everything he had worked for would ultimately go up in flames, leaving the world to fall into the hands of the old snake.
The old man could only pray that the gods and goddesses of victory and fate would smile upon him and his men.
Ultimately, everything would hinge on the depth of their preparation and their performance on the day of the operation.
Those he expected to succeed—namely Shye, Chaos, and Cobra—who had consistently delivered over the past few years, had no room for failure and had to keep up their perfect record till the end.
“Now then, let’s move on to the Yon Augenn Strike Force,” Sanada began. “Maverick will lead the operations. Accompanying the Maverick Unit will be the Chaos Unit, the Tigren Unit, the Feng Unit, and the remainder of the Black Dawn Unit.”
The old man then turned to Commander Chaos.
“Chaos, you’re permitted to act independently if you deem it necessary, but you must inform Maverick beforehand. No need for detailed explanations—just let him know where you and your unit would be going and who or what your target is.”
Upon hearing that he had special permission to act on his own, Chaos flashed a wide smile at Sanada.
He walked over and gave the old man’s bald head a hearty rub, roaring with laughter.
“Hahahaha! That’s what I’m talking about, old man! Just let me do what I want, and we’ll win, NYAHAHAHA! Good, good! Trust me, you should at least trust me this much…”

Chaos, who was in his mid-thirties, was among the first group of individuals to follow Sanada, joining Hadean Varsa when he was just twenty-one years old.
His reason?
Because the old man was set to bring chaos to the current order of the world, and he wanted to be a part of it.
Sure, the guy had a few screws loose for enjoying chaotic environments, but the old man appreciated the lad’s competence and sincerity in helping him achieve his goals, even though their personal motivations differed greatly.
Chaos simply wanted to bring chaos to the world for the thrill of it, while Sanada aimed to do so in order to save the world and correct his past wrongs.
Anyhow, the two of them went way back, so the old man didn’t take offense to the bald head rubbing.
It had become a normal occurrence between them over the years.
The newer commanders like Kirov, however, were undeniably fascinated by Chaos’ balls in daring to make fun of the Supreme One’s baldness.
With a sigh, the old man helplessly turned to Shye, giving him the same set of instructions.
“Lad, I also grant you and your unit permission to act on your own. However, I encourage you to stick to the plan as much as possible. Acting based on personal feelings isn’t allowed. And like Chaos, you must report to Maverick if you need to move on your own. Again, no need for a detailed explanation—just a report on your destination and your target.”
Of course, Shye nodded appreciatively, though he did not like the old man’s warning regarding acting based on personal feelings.
However, he also understood himself well.
He was the type to act on personal feelings, especially if someone close to him was put in a position of extreme danger.
Nonetheless, Shye trusted that his 900 points in intelligence would enable him to make the best decision, so while he didn’t dare make any guarantees to the old man about not acting based on personal feelings, he at least had confidence in his ability to make the right call.
Sanada gave Shye a deep look.
The old man seemed to know exactly what he was thinking. But in the end, the terrorist leader had no choice but to trust him, turning away with a slight sigh before continuing:
“It’s difficult to understand everything purely in theory. Like the other forces, the Yon Augenn Strike Force will undergo dry runs leading up to operation day.”
“I’ll summon each responsible commander in due time for a detailed rundown of each resource available to ensure the success of your units’ operations. For now, you’re dismissed.”
Shye had a problem he needed to address urgently.
Hence, he quickly went after the old man, who was likely already back in his room after disappearing into the void.
Unbeknownst to him, a certain commander watched him with an amused expression: Cobra.
