Chapter 848: The Chaos Show
Though it was hard to believe the guarantee of someone like Chaos, Sanada had no choice but to trust him, as Chaos was far more untameable than Cobra in certain situations, especially ones he enjoyed.
Furthermore, Sanada also wanted to see how the Cobra elites and Chaos elites fare against the members of the Black Dawn Unit.
He could only trust his right-hand man to handle things appropriately.
The brown-haired and hulking Commander Cobra strode confidently along the metallic hallways of the Hadean Varsa Main Headquarters, his enormous cutlass—almost the size of a greatsword—strapped on his waist.
Behind him were seven hundred of his strongest elites and his vice commander, Viper.
The cold smiles on their faces made them seem like members of a syndicate, here to collect blood money.
A few more moments later, Chaos disappeared from Sanada’s room, immediately springing into action to ensure that the show would be satisfactory for both him and the old man.
Minutes passed.
Cobra and his men approached the training halls, their cold smiles growing ever wider.
Soon, they arrived at the metallic doors of the elites’ training hall, the smile on the intruding commander’s face fading as he failed to turn the doorknob.
It was locked.
The Kirov and Black Dawn elites had grown tired of annoying distractions and wanted nothing more than to train in peace, so they locked their doors and would only open them once the training session was over.
Unfortunately for them, the distractions were determined to fulfill their role.
The next moment, a loud bang echoed from behind, prompting most of the elites to turn their heads toward the source of the sound.
Upon realizing that the door was forcefully opened with what seemed to be a powerful kick, the elites frowned, especially those from the Kirov Unit.
They’ve had enough of being interrupted in the middle of their training.
One of them—a relatively new member—walked towards Cobra and his men, planning to reprimand them and teach them a lesson if necessary.
“H-Hey, William, come back here, that guy is–”
*PAH!*
Unfortunately, before the Kirov Unit veteran could warn his comrade, the crisp sound of a palm making intimate contact with a person’s cheek already sounded.
Before William could comprehend what had happened, he was already spinning sideways, the world a blur.
He landed on his chest several meters away from his training space, dizziness crashing over him like a wave.
“Uhh…” he groaned.
Naturally, those from the Kirov Unit were infuriated.
“Commander Cobra, could you please explain yourself? Why would you suddenly show up, destroy the door, and slap one of our comrades?” a bold Kirov elite demanded, her voice steady despite the tension in the room.
The female elite had a rather cute voice, prompting Cobra to look her way and check her out.
“Hoh, not bad. From now on, you’re a member of the Cobra Unit,” the commander said with a dirty smile. “Don’t worry about Kirov—he wouldn’t dare talk back to me.”
He scanned the Kirov elite without hiding his filthy intentions, noting her short orange hair and a lean yet strong build for a woman.
Her looks were rather average, but she would do as entertainment for Cobra.
The other members of the Kirov Unit were naturally infuriated.

Unfortunately, they had been instructed to report to the captains first if they encountered hostile units at the main headquarters.
This left most of them swallowing their anger and clenching their fists to keep their composure—including the female elite who had just been disrespected by Cobra.
In the end, the female elite decided to just ignore the troublemaker, focusing instead on helping William up.
“Hahahaha, you guys train so much, yet you don’t even dare fight another unit even if you need to. You lot are so pathetic.” Cobra laughed, satisfied at the reactions of the Kirov elites.
He knew all along that, just like their commander Kirov, none of them had the guts to talk back to him.
Meanwhile, the Chaos elites merely watched the commotion with interest.
They, too, had picked up such distasteful habits under the influence of their commander.
“We’re here to put an end to this pointless cross-training session of yours. It’s only making your unit weaker. I assume the members of the Black Dawn Units are just as cowardly.” Cobra continued.
“Since the effects are clearly negative, I, as a commander who cares about the success of the unsealing operation, believe it’s best to discard such ineffective training regimens. Instead, you’ll follow the training regimen that my men use. Although there are only five months left, it should at least make your useless units somewhat more effective for the old man.”
Since the troublemaking commander deliberately declared his forceful statements with a loud voice, even those from the Black Dawn Unit, who were training at the far end of the massive training hall, could hear his voice.
They, too, were naturally infuriated.
Realizing their competence compared to other units, Shye’s men began to unconsciously cultivate their egos.
They would never let such mockery slide.
However, like the Kirov Unit, they were extremely disciplined.
Despite the anger in their hearts, they chose to inform their captains in the other room first using their mana communicators.
To their surprise, before they could even press a single button in their devices, Vice Commander Izanagi and the others had already arrived.
This was naturally Commander Chaos’ handiwork.
Like a cunning rat, he informed Ian at the perfect moment, ensuring that the two sides were on the brink of battle by the time the Kirov and Black Dawn captains and commanders arrived.
The verbal war was on.
Of course, the leader on the other side was none other than the vicious-mouthed, grape-haired midget.
“Huh, how did these prancing circus clowns get here? Can’t you see we’re training? We’re not in the mood for your lame tricks and corny jokes. Get out.” Seira said sternly, her presence as a Black Dawn Unit Squadron Captain radiating from every pore.
Then, with her arms crossed in front of her chest, she continued:
“However, I, Squadron Captain Seira of the Black Dawn Unit, am not some heartless individual, so I’ll give you directions. A hundred and forty kilometers west of the main headquarters’ exit, there’s a city called Leafensburg City. There, opportunities for circus troupes like yours are aplenty.”
She then retrieved a few bags of meat jerky from her spatial bag and tossed them onto the ground in front of Cobra and his men.
“Here, eat this for now until you can earn a stable income. Unfortunately, this is the extent of the hospitality I can offer entertainers like you. I am, after all, a proud and busy captain of an elite unit.”
“Now, scram, we don’t have any more time to waste on useless entertainment.”
