Chapter 918: Abomination Army
Everyone had already stopped fighting, except for two individuals: a relatively young male scout hero and an even younger female scout squadron captain from Hadean Varsa wearing a black cloak and white mask.
“Tch!” Ian clicked his tongue in annoyance before roaring, “Hey! Didn’t you idiots receive the order from Lord Hale?! Why are you still trying to kill my subordinate?!”
Everyone on the scene naturally turned their heads to see who had spoken.
“A-Alpha Three!” the agents and defenders exclaimed almost in unison at the sight of his white oni mask—fear and apprehension brewing deep in their eyes and souls.
Although Hale and Sanada had already publicly ordered a ceasefire, the WAA agents couldn’t help but tremble in Ian’s presence.
His horrifying combat prowess was now well known to everyone in the WAA, especially the agents.
After all, even though he had failed to kill them, defeating two heroes in less than half an hour was a terrifying, almost impossible feat for everyone present.
No one wanted to be on the receiving end of his shadowy blade, and they couldn’t help but doubt whether Hale and Sanada’s truce would work on him—especially since he sounded rather furious at the sight of the two individuals who were still fighting.
As Ian drew nearer, the aura he exuded grew stronger.
Ultimately, one of the agents couldn’t take it anymore and stuttered,
“H-Hey, t-this isn’t a hostile battle! These two are just sparring—just sparring!” the champion hurriedly explained, fearing that the horrifying Alpha Three might attack and start killing people.
What a tragedy it would be if they were unjustly killed due to a misunderstanding.
The WAA agent’s words had their intended effect, prompting Ian to narrow his eyes and slow his furious charge.
By the time he reached the battle scene, he was merely walking, his brows furrowed as he asked,
“A spar?”
Realizing that Alpha Three had more or less calmed down, the other agents quickly chimed in, “Y-Yes! We stopped attacking your subordinates a few minutes ago, but this captain of yours suggested that her battle with Albus Verona of the Poison Cloud continue.”
Ian’s face twitched upon hearing the subsequent explanations from the agents.
“Maia!” he exclaimed in suppressed fury the next moment.
*CLANG!*
Maia, of course, heard Ian’s furious shout.
She flinched slightly and almost failed to block Albus’ dagger.
Disengaging from combat, she turned to face the furious vice commander with a sheepish smile.
“H-Hey, b-big b—err… Vice Commander Izanagi, what brings you here?”
The crew’s little sister had an idea of what she did wrong, causing her to tremble slightly with nervousness, regretting that she had once again let her instincts take over.
The call earlier had been urgent, hadn’t it?
She had been locked in a fierce yet exhilarating clash with the hero when Ian called. She just couldn’t help herself.
Ian hadn’t used the emergency call, so she assumed he was just checking in on her.
‘Ahh… crap… I’m in for it…’ she thought.
Maia was, indeed, in for a reprimand.
“The commander is in a bad situation in Yon Augenn, yet here you are, playing around!” Ian roared. “Deactivate Detain and come with me—we’re heading to Yon Augenn to respond to the commander’s distress call.”

“Y-Yes, right away!”
Disappearing from sight with a regretful and embarrassed grimace, Maia sprinted toward Detain and swiftly deactivated it.
The translucent crimson dome that had covered the entire city faded in an instant, allowing golden rays of sunlight to shine through unhindered, warming their hearts.
Oh, what a beautiful day it was.
With a hint of shame, Maia returned to Ian, who was still slightly pissed as he led his men back to where the rest of the Black Dawn Unit was waiting.
A few precious minutes later, they arrived.
Seira, Harry, and their squadrons—who had originally been assigned to accompany Commander Alicia—had also returned.
The midget seemed slightly out of it, as though struggling with inner turmoil.
Seeing that everyone was present, Harry pulled out a mass teleportation scroll, transferring the small magic circle from it onto the ground. They then expanded it into a larger circle, capable of sending everyone to Yon Augenn in three batches.
Alicia and the other units were also doing the same.
In the next second, multiple azure beams of varying thickness descended across different areas of Yon Augenn City, resembling a meteor shower of sapphire stones crashing down to obliterate the capital.
Contrary to what it appeared, however, no destruction occurred.
None yet, at least…
Squadrons of humans—some clad in black, others in white—materialized from the azure rays, each appearing more formidable than the last.
The Hadean Varsa-WAA coalition army had arrived to purge the world of a certain wicked serpent and his sinister schemes.
Unlike Sanada, Dweezel wasn’t prepared to attack other capitals.
However, what he had prepared for was defending himself and his twisted dreams should things go south—and that’s exactly what he did.
Soon after the WAA and Hadean Varsa reinforcements arrived to help the Yon Augenn Strike Force, the ground trembled.
Then, massive cracks began spreading from the direction of Hawkin Mansion and the outskirts of the city, pushing aside piles of monster corpses killed by the city guards as abominations of varying shapes and sizes emerged from the fissures.
The most harrowing and spine-chilling howls echoed the next moment from every direction, followed by the heavy footsteps of what seemed to be an army emerging from Hawkin Mansion and the other entrances to the Hawkin Group Headquarters.
This, however, did not deter most of the WAA agents and elite guards, though they were undeniably shocked to discover such hideous monstrosities lurking beneath the world’s capital—especially those from Yon Augenn City.
Dweezel Hawkins certainly concealed himself beneath layers of intricate lies.
To the reinforcement army’s horror, the abominations…still weren’t done emerging.
Soon, there were thousands of them, with more crawling out of new cracks.
Even the strongest agents weren’t sure they could destroy all the monstrosities before their mana and stamina reserves ran out, let alone have any left to face the seemingly endless army of strange human and wood puppets gathering outside the entrances to the Hawkin Group Headquarters.
Fortunately, adventurers from all over the world were teleporting into Yon Augenn City with every passing second, steadily bolstering their ranks in response to Hale’s distress call, ready to fulfill their duty as those with the power to make a difference.
They weren’t about to let the world fall into ruin.
