Chapter 123: The fight continues
“Damn it!” Lein cursed inwardly.
“Where are these people coming from?”
Lein looked seriously at Joy in front of him, then asked and confirmed if what Joy had written was true.
“I can prove it.”
“Attack me with your strongest power,” Joy said casually.
Hearing Joy’s words, Lein raised an eyebrow slightly. Without hesitation, the golden sword flew directly to pierce Joy’s chest.
None of the students could see the speed of the sword shot by Lein. What they saw was Joy’s body shattering into blood. Then, Joy reappeared not far away, intact without a wound.
Before a second had passed, Lein shot another golden sword at Joy. Seeing Joy reappear afterward, Lein continued to bombard Joy with golden sword shots.
“Hmmm, interesting,” muttered Lein as he watched Joy’s body continuously reappear without any limit.
A minute passed, and Lein had already fired more than 80 golden swords, and he kept going.
Just as the 95th sword was about to be launched, Joy’s voice rang out. “Stop, Island Master!”
Hearing Joy’s shout, Lein caught the sword that was about to fly with his right hand.
“This is my limit, Sir,” said Joy in a heavy voice, his breathing now irregular.
“Alright… you can live,” Lein said casually.
Just like Grace, Lein offered Joy the chance to become a core member of his alliance. Joy, too, agreed happily and without hesitation.
The teachers beside Lein observed everything with nervousness. They looked at Joy with astonishment. Not only Grace, but this boy had also hidden his true power, registering only with an A-grade talent.
“Mr. Yusuf, please continue,” Lein said, returning to his relaxed demeanor.
He felt fortunate this time, having found two rulers with S and SS-level talents. Lein even considered recruiting all S-level rulers directly. With his immense influence now, it would be easy to gain people’s trust.
“Yes, sir.”
Mr. Yusuf then instructed the moderator to continue the duel showcase.
“Alright… everyone, let’s hear some noise!” the moderator shouted, trying to revive the intense atmosphere from before.
“Hu….”
“Keep going!”
“Wow, it turns out Joy hid his strength very well,” said a female student.
“Yeah, he’s always been quiet and rarely socializes,” replied her friend.
“Damn, it seems they’re going to receive some massive rewards from the Island Master.”
Many small discussions took place among the students. Of course, everything that had happened shocked them and gave them a better understanding of the two best students at their academy.
“Next up, the student with number 2, please enter the Arena.”
As soon as that was announced, two male students stood up from their seats and walked towards the battle area in the center.
The first student had a relaxed appearance with dark sunglasses on his face. His long hair added to his pleasing aura, and his physique was ideal.

“Wow… Arial is number 2.”
“His opponent is Zaki; I think this battle will end quickly.”
…
Before the fight even began, the students had already drawn rough conclusions about the upcoming match. Arial’s opponent was a young man named Zaki with a bald head. His clothes were very disheveled, looking unkempt.
Arial stood on the right corner, ready and activating all the combat equipment on his body. Arial’s equipment was all blue, with a massive pair of scissors as his weapon.
Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, Zaki also activated his blue equipment. Yes, everything was blue except for the armor, which was purple. In Zaki’s hand was a long silver sword.
“Arial, ready?”
“Zaki, ready?”
The moderator shouted, ensuring the two students were ready and in position.
“Ready!!”
The moderator then exited the battle area. As usual, he adjusted some configurations and pressed “activate array.” Soon, a transparent protective cube enveloped the battle area.
“Begin!” the moderator shouted with a long drawl.
Zaki seemed prepared; without waiting for Arial to attack, he had already dashed forward, making several slashes directly.
Tang…
Teng…
Arial raised his large scissors and skillfully spun them, blocking all of Zaki’s sword attacks.
Zaki, who had already understood Arial’s fighting style, tried something new this time. A ball of energy appeared in his right hand, and he launched it toward Arial’s stomach.
Arial quickly and forcefully struck the energy ball.
Pof…
“What? Smoke? Poison?” Arial said in a panic. He hadn’t expected that the energy ball wasn’t an explosive but a smoke bomb.
Now confused and unable to see his surroundings, Arial suddenly sensed movement behind his back. He lifted his scissors and immediately slashed backward with a spin.
Tang…
Sure enough, Zaki was behind him.
But it didn’t stop there. Zaki moved rapidly within the smoke, while Arial observed his surroundings cautiously, but the thick smoke still obscured his vision. Suddenly, a silver flash appeared from the left side. Arial quickly spun his large scissors, blocking Zaki’s sword strike that had emerged from within the smoke.
Tang!
A loud clang echoed, but Arial remained unfazed. He knew Zaki would try to attack him from an unexpected angle. Quickly, Arial took advantage of his momentum, spinning his scissors at high speed and swinging them in a different direction.
Zaki tried to dodge, but Arial had already anticipated his movement. In one swift motion, the large scissors managed to strike directly at Zaki’s sword, hitting it with full force.
Clang!
Zaki’s sword was knocked out of his hand, rolling away across the arena floor.
Now unarmed, Zaki retreated a few steps. Arial didn’t give him any chance. He surged forward, using his large scissors to create a powerful gust of wind that dispersed the remaining smoke lingering in the air. With a clear view now, Arial saw Zaki looking exhausted and cornered.
Without hesitation, Arial raised his scissors high and, with one swift slash, aimed his weapon at Zaki. However, just before the strike reached Zaki, Arial stopped, leaving only a few inches between his weapon and Zaki’s body. The moderator’s shout rang out, stopping the battle.
“The winner is Arial!”
Zaki, panting heavily, acknowledged his defeat with a slight nod. Arial, also panting, lowered his scissors and smiled, giving his opponent a respectful salute.
“Yeah… Arial won!”
“Yes, I expected that from the beginning. Arial is known for his composure.”
“Zaki, keep it up…”
Cheers erupted from the audience. While many had anticipated Arial’s victory, there were still plenty of voices encouraging Zaki.
“Everyone, give a round of applause…” The moderator shouted, rallying the audience and preparing them for the next battle.
As usual, the moderator called out the students holding numbers 3, 4, and 5. Each student with the same number would step forward to duel in the battle platform area.
Of course, each battle would use a simulation array to ensure that the students wouldn’t be seriously injured when fighting with their full strength. However, Grace and Joy were not included in this count because their attacks were too powerful.
The next battle was between two female students wielding magical weapons. Each held a staff in their hands. In the right corner, the female student in a long skirt prepared herself, already summoning water around her. On the opposite side, the female student with a pointed hat summoned rocks from thin air, which floated around her as if weightless.
The first attack came from the student with water powers, directing a large wave towards her opponent. However, the student with the pointed hat quickly responded, directing the rocks to smash through most of the water wave before it could reach her.
The two continued exchanging attacks, with water and rocks colliding in the air, creating a spectacular scene. The student with water powers tried to control the battlefield by creating puddles all over the platform, but her opponent swiftly used the rocks to create a floating bridge, avoiding the water traps.
In the end, the battle concluded with a narrow victory for the student controlling the rocks, who managed to trap her opponent within a sturdy stone wall.
After that fight, it was time for the student with number 4.
On one side, a female student with a bow radiating magical energy prepared to launch her enchanted arrows. On the other side, a male student with a large, seemingly impenetrable shield was readying his defense.
The first arrow was released at high speed, but the man’s shield held firm against the attack without wavering. Even so, the female student did not give up and continued to release a barrage of arrows with varied strikes, trying to find an opening in her opponent’s defense.
However, the man with the shield remained calm, using his defensive strength to block each attack with precision. Despite her impressive archery skills, the man’s defense was too strong, and the match ended with the victory of the man who had managed to hold out without significant injury.
The final battle, between the students holding number 5, brought a more serious atmosphere.
A young man in a black robe stood on one side, holding a silver sword that glowed with magical light. On the other side, a young man with a long spear was ready with his weapon. As soon as the match began, both moved swiftly.
