Chapter 139: Visiting the Central Control Tower – 2
After observing for a moment, Lein saw an elevator leading to the upper floors.
Followed by the female officer who kept trailing behind, Lein headed towards the elevator to explore the structure of the CCT.
“Floors 1-3 are public spaces, sir, used to serve the general public. Next are floors 4-10 where city data management is processed; these floors are the operational data center of Life City,” explained the female officer inside the elevator.
Lein simply listened, occasionally nodding in understanding. After a moment, the elevator reached the 4th floor.
Sure enough, as explained by the officer, this place had a giant hologram displaying maps and surveillance camera feeds from various locations. The statistical data on the large screen gave a deeper insight into the city’s situation.
For example, the screen displayed statistics on the number of new arrivals, daily teleportation usage, and other complex information presented in a statistical format.
“No wonder knowledge is everything. Even with my current Tier-3 power, it’s still quite difficult to understand how they calculate all of this,” Lein said, praising the work of the city’s top officials.
He wasn’t stingy with compliments, and he appreciated it when officials did their best for the island’s development.
“Where can I see the number of nest troops and defense towers on the island?” Lein asked the female officer beside him.
“Certainly, sir, please wait a moment.”
As she spoke, the female officer did something on a large tablet in her left hand, seemingly setting something up. Lein waited patiently.
“Alright, sir, please take a look,” said the female officer, pointing towards the large screen in the center of the room.
On the screen, Lein saw a densely packed graph. He focused his eyes on one of the diagrams showing the number of nest troops.

– Quantity: 11,250,000

Lein stared at the troop numbers with a shocked expression. “That many? I remember it wasn’t this much before,” Lein thought to himself. He hadn’t realized that his nest troops now exceeded 100,000,000, all at level 30. The sheer strength of these forces was unimaginable!
Previously, Lein had acquired the Divine Dragon Nest, but it wasn’t listed because he hadn’t summoned a single dragon yet. Summoning one dragon took 7 days. Lein had duplicated the nests 50,000 times and ordered his troops to build them on the island’s vacant lands.
Next, Lein shifted his gaze to another diagram showing the number of defense towers on his island.
1. Defense Tower: Thunder Tower
– Type: Defense Tower
– Quantity: 3,800,000
2. Defense Tower: Divine Light
– Type: Defense Tower
– Quantity: 2,500,000
…
8. Defense Tower: Galactic Fortress
– Type: Territory Artifact
– Quantity: 600,000
9. Defense Tower: Sky Punishment Mortar
– Type: Defense Tower
– Quantity: 500,000
…
“Hahaha… terrifying,” Lein said with a long breath.
Even though he duplicated all the items himself, Lein was still amazed by the sheer number of defense towers in his territory. Initially, the Thunder Tower was his mainstay, which is why it was the most numerous, but now, after acquiring more advanced towers like the Galactic Fortress, Lein stopped duplicating the Thunder Towers.
Lein continued observing the defense diagrams on the massive holographic screen before heading up to the next floor.
“Ding”
The elevator bell rang, and Lein stepped out onto the 11th floor, immediately greeted by an atmosphere of dedication and precision.
“Sir, we are now on the 11th floor. This floor up to the 20th is dedicated to urban planning and management,” explained the female officer beside Lein cautiously. Her task was to ensure that Lein received all the information accurately, clearly, and swiftly.
Lein nodded whenever the female officer spoke, constantly observing the work of the people in the room.
This floor was the hub for strategic planning and city development, where new ideas and long-term plans were crafted. The room was filled with large work tables equipped with interactive maps, 3D models of the island, and large screens displaying projections of population growth, resource allocation, and future development plans.
Officers here were serious, checking data and making critical decisions. They worked in small groups, carefully discussing every strategic step. Lein watched a group of planners projecting potential city expansions to neighboring islands, an ambitious project that would increase production capacity and population.
“This is amazing,” Lein thought. “With plans like this, my floating island will grow into an even greater power and be able to compete with the higher races.”
Lein continued to observe the planners at work before moving on to the next floor.
A few minutes later, Lein proceeded to the next floor, the 21st floor. Upon arriving, the female officer again explained the division and function of the 21st floor.
From her explanation, Lein learned that the 21st floor was the center of security and defense management. This room was more secluded and equipped with advanced technology. There was a digital tactical map showing the entire island and its surroundings, complete with the positions of defense towers, patrol troops, and potential threat points. Large screens displayed live feeds from various angles of the island, including real-time data from defense systems like the Thunder Towers and Galactic Fortress.
Lein was drawn to a large round table in the middle of the room. He walked closer and saw a large map showing the overall situation of his island.
“Amazing, it’s grown this big!” Lein said in awe. Perhaps because he hadn’t paid much attention before or because he wasn’t skilled in city management, Lein was now astonished by the results of his efforts.
On the large map on the table, Lein saw the division of the 10 cities on his island. The central part was the largest, the Life City. To the west of Life City was a city with black-edged borders, almost half the size of Life City, managed by his core member, the old man Haikal Emanuel.
