Chapter 177: Lein clone: Echo phantom
“Alright, now it’s your turn, Lord Black.”
Soon, another sword with similar features appeared from the void. A blinding dark light pulsed from the core of the sword, leaving Lein equally mesmerized as with the golden one.

“Hahaha… these attributes are absurd,” Lein said with a sly smile. The sword’s attributes were truly outrageous. He believed that even Tier-2 rulers would struggle to wield both swords due to their overwhelming stats.
Besides the immense attributes, the binding skills of these two swords were equally terrifying. Just as a ruler gains new skills upon advancing to Tier-1, so had these swords received new abilities after binding.
With a calm voice, Lein said, “Echo Phantom.” Immediately, the golden sword before him transformed into a figure that closely resembled him.
Lein stepped closer, his eyes locked on the figure that was an exact replica. Every detail, from hair color to facial expression, was perfect—as if a living mirror stood before him. Curiosity swelled inside him as he began to circle his clone, ensuring there wasn’t a single difference between them.
“Can you speak?” he asked, his voice filled with admiration.
Casually, his clone replied, “Yes, of course… you gave me a name, Golden Master.” The voice was identical, even in its intonation.
Lein felt as though he was conversing with a part of himself. He smiled widely, as if discovering a powerful ally, but deep inside, his curiosity burned even brighter. “What else can you do?” he asked, excitement rising within him, eager to explore this newfound potential.
Lein’s clone nodded confidently.
“I can do anything you can,” it said, before demonstrating an elegant and skilled fighting movement.
The clone stepped forward, swinging its empty hands in a series of impressive maneuvers. Lein was stunned, realizing that the clone’s movements were even more perfect than his own. “Amazing…” he whispered, feeling both inspired and slightly intimidated by the skill of his mirrored self.
But as the awe slowly faded, a thought suddenly crossed Lein’s mind. He wondered aloud, “Do you have a system panel?” His question flowed with deep curiosity, as if his clone was a mysterious machine harboring limitless potential.
“Yes, of course, Master,” the clone answered confidently.
It then explained that its system panel was similar to Lein’s, complete with status, attributes, and skills that could be upgraded. The clone displayed a shiny panel, filled with detailed information that mirrored all of its abilities.
Lein felt a surge of excitement, as though he’d found an ally not just as a reflection, but also as a tool to help him achieve even greater goals.
“But…” Lein said, his voice tinged with curiosity. His gaze focused on the clone’s body.
“Didn’t your system panel not show up before?” he asked, with a deep sense of wonder.
When he first activated the Echo Phantom skill, there was no system panel visible. Even just moments ago, that panel had remained hidden. Now, in front of him, the clone’s status was clearly displayed, just like anyone else’s.

Looking at the clone’s status panel, pride swelled within Lein. The number 50 on the panel reflected his hard-earned progress so far. He was the highest-level individual among humanity.
“Take… use all of this,” Lein said, throwing several items toward the clone.
Lein’s clone swiftly caught all the items, without asking many questions. It was Lein, after all, and could feel the thoughts and emotions of its owner. As if there was a telepathic connection, Lein could feel his mind flowing easily into the clone’s body. He watched the clone use the items he had thrown, and a satisfied nod crossed his face when he noticed that the clone’s rank was no longer visible on the panel.

“Well, that’s enough… it’d be great if there were items that could hide all status,” Lein muttered, letting out a long sigh.
“Go…” he commanded his clone with a slight nod toward the portal ahead of them.
“Yes, Master,” his clone replied enthusiastically. Without fear, it stepped into the portal whose destination was unclear. Lein watched from behind, seeing his clone walk with a posture both relaxed and commanding. The golden and black sword hung gracefully at its waist, adding to its striking presence.

Alliance Island of China – Changdu City
The atmosphere in Changdu City reflected deep sorrow. The grand buildings that were once filled with advanced technology now lay in ruins, surrounded by debris that formed a maze of grief. Fires blazed from several homes, creating a gray sky that blanketed the city, while thick smoke added to the oppressive mood. Streets that were once bustling were now littered with lifeless bodies, silent in their helplessness, as if the city itself was a reminder of heroism long lost.
Amidst this chaos, a fierce battle raged between the Chinese alliance and terrifying alien creatures. Various forms of beasts attacked brutally, resembling nightmarish mythological animals, threatening every life that dared resist.
The sounds of weapon fire and terrified screams filled the air, invoking an overwhelming sense of dread that enveloped every corner of the city. The alliance soldiers, with unwavering courage, fought valiantly even as their bodies grew weary and wounded.
“Why aren’t the towers firing?”
One of the commanders, struggling in a desperate fight against a lion-shaped alien creature, shouted loudly, his body exhausted and unable to endure much longer.
“Damn it… all the towers have been destroyed… the main tower’s out of energy!” another soldier cried, his voice filled with despair.
