Chapter 421: Hope and promise
At the peak of the towering Tree of Life Source, Nita stood among the lush leaves, gazing at the vast sky stretching above her. She wasn’t sure where Lein’s Space Vessel was at that moment, but somehow, her heart felt connected. Her eyes were fixed in its direction as if she could pierce through dimensions and distance.
“I hope you achieve everything you desire, brother,” she murmured softly, her voice filled with sincerity and hope.
They had discussed this for a long time. Lein’s long journey toward a greater destiny was not something that happened suddenly. However, everything became real after Aleron arrived and proposed a collaboration. That was the turning point that solidified Lein’s decision.
Nita clenched her fists, her eyes shining with determination. “I won’t let anything happen to this place. If necessary, I will protect it with my life.”
A soft cough broke the silence.
“Ahem…”
Nita turned and saw Haikal Emanuel approaching her with a relaxed stride. He carried a silver tray with a glass of mineral water on it.
“Miss, I brought you some water,” he said politely, bowing slightly as he offered the tray to her.
Nita gave a small smile. “Master Haikal, you didn’t have to go through the trouble,” she replied kindly while taking the glass.
She sipped it slowly, feeling the cool water refresh her throat. After a few sips, she lowered the glass and looked at Haikal with gratitude.
“Thank you, Master Haikal.”
Haikal simply gave a brief nod before stepping slightly away. His eyes gazed at the horizon, his mind recalling what had just been entrusted to him.
Lein had never told him directly, but Haikal understood well enough. The authority to protect the Divine Sky Realm now rested in his hands. He knew very well that Lein was leaving, departing this world for something greater.
As a token of his gratitude to Lein, Haikal vowed to fulfill this duty to the best of his ability. He would protect the girl before him—Nita, Lein’s younger sister—and ensure this realm remained strong.
Nita remained deep in thought, her gaze never leaving the sky. A faint smile formed on her lips as she reminisced about the time spent with Lein during their journey to other realms. They had been through so much together. There were difficult times, especially in the beginning, when everything still required struggle. But beyond that, there was laughter, companionship, and priceless memories.
Suddenly—
“ARGH!”
A loud scream echoed, shattering the tranquility of the Tree of Life Source’s peak. Nita and Haikal both flinched, their eyes instantly searching for the source of the sound.
“For heaven’s sake…” Haikal muttered with a grimace. “Who dares climb to the peak of the Divine Sky Realm and scream that loudly?”
He turned and saw a figure that made him let out a long sigh—Bagus.
The man stood in the distance with a look of pure shock, gripping a massive hammer tightly in his hands. The furrow in his brow deepened, clearly displaying his surprise.
Haikal sighed, glancing at Nita, who also looked confused.
“Looks like we have an overly enthusiastic guest,” he murmured quietly.
Seeing Haikal and Nita, Bagus adjusted his posture and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. With slow steps, he walked closer.
“Princess Nita, I am Bagus. Allow me to devote my life to serving you,” he said once he was near enough. He didn’t know what to say to console Nita, but this was the only way he could express his sincerity.
Earlier, he had heard the news from Haikal. However, due to some matters he had to settle, he had only just arrived.
Nita turned to look at Bagus with a gentle expression. “Thank you, Brother Bagus,” she said with a small smile. She knew they had come to reassure her, to show that they were here for her.
All the core members knew—Nita’s only family was Lein.
Suddenly, voices filled the air.
“Princess…”

“Is it true? Why didn’t he tell us?”
“Did Master Lein leave us?”
Several exclamations echoed among the leaves. Nita turned and saw one by one, the core members arriving. They landed hurriedly on the dense canopy of the Tree of Life Source. Since flying was forbidden in this area, they had no choice but to rely on their strength and stamina.
Hana was the first to run forward, followed closely by Elen. “Princess…” Hana headed straight for Nita, lifting her hands as if to embrace her. However, she quickly realized and stopped herself. She was merely a core member, and though she wanted to console her, she didn’t want to overstep her boundaries. So, she remained in place, looking at Nita with eyes full of sympathy.
“Princess, we are here for you…” Hana declared firmly.
But soon after, she choked up. Tears fell uncontrollably.
“Princess… will Master Lein return?” Elen asked in a trembling voice, her eyes filled with unshed tears.
Nita looked at the girl. Her smile remained, her calmness unchanged from the beginning. Slowly, she stepped toward Hana and Elen. “I’m sorry…” she whispered, then pulled them into a warm embrace.
She held them close, feeling the rhythm of their emotional heartbeats. Not long ago, they had all fought for Lein’s attention, but now they were left behind.
She had actually asked Lein why he didn’t take them with him. But Lein’s answer had been brief—he wouldn’t be gone for long.
After a while, more core members began to arrive.
The old man, Takulani, arrived calmly. His once wrinkled face now looked younger, thanks to the enhancement of his power. Beside him, Dion stood with the same handsome face as before, a clear sign of his noble lineage.
Lastly, two close friends—Arya and Budi—stood in the distance, silent. They gazed at Nita with deep sympathy. Not to be left behind, the two new core members, Grace and Joy, were also present, waiting with serious expressions.
Nita took a deep breath, lifted her face, and smiled warmly at all of them. With light steps, she walked forward, looking at each person standing before her.
“Everyone,” she spoke in a soft yet firm voice.
