Floating Island - Triple S Talent - Chapter 426
Chapter 426: Law of Space
In a bright and spacious room, two women were engaged in an intense duel. One was Laras, a woman with long black hair, while her opponent, Tauriel, had silvery hair that shimmered under the lights.
Set…
Tauriel dashed forward with agility, her body almost floating as she unleashed a straight kick aimed at Laras’s side. The sheer force of the kick made the air tremble, a testament to its undeniable power.
Laras, with her honed reflexes, read the attack in an instant. She did not attempt to block it but instead pivoted lightly to the side, allowing the wind from the kick to pass harmlessly by.
“Good…” Tauriel praised with a satisfied tone. A bead of sweat began to form on her forehead, showing that this was no ordinary training match.
After her attack missed, Tauriel gracefully withdrew her leg and stood upright. “That’s enough,” she said, wiping the sweat from her forehead with her forearm.
“You’re learning quickly. Keep it up,” she continued with a slight smile. Her gaze then shifted to the right side of the room, where several onlookers watched with great interest.
Among them were three of Aleron’s students, two of Atruel’s students, and Efan, who sat with his arms crossed, watching Laras with a proud expression. Besides them, a few spaceship crew members were also present. Some stood with their hands on their hips, while others sat relaxed, enjoying the rare spectacle.
“Laras has improved a lot,” Tauriel announced. “Does anyone else want to give it a try?”
For a moment, the room was silent. Then, one hand shot up.
“Me!” Abigail stepped forward with confidence. Her eyes were resolute as she walked toward the center of the arena, passing by Laras.
“You were amazing, Miss Laras,” she praised with a warm smile.
Laras returned the smile and patted Abigail’s shoulder briefly. “Remember… stay focused. Don’t rely solely on strength,” she advised before stepping back to join the spectators and sitting down.
Meanwhile, Tauriel gave a small smile, enjoying the moment. She had spent the past few days conducting sparring sessions with the young fighters on the ship. Not just to pass the time but also as a way to build good relationships. She knew that working with Lein in the future could be a great advantage.
“I’m ready,” Abigail said, taking a solid stance with full concentration. Her eyes were sharp, her right hand extended forward, while her left leg held her balance behind.
Tauriel nodded. “Here I come.”
Without giving Abigail time to think, she shot forward with terrifying speed. Her fist lunged straight toward Abigail’s neck, so fast that it seemed to tear through the air.
Abigail’s eyes widened, her reflexes kicking in immediately. She ducked as fast as she could, her body almost touching the floor. But before she could feel relieved, her eyes caught another movement—Tauriel’s left leg spinning swiftly, delivering a side kick aimed directly at her head!
Abigail froze, her body stiff as a statue. Her eyes widened as Tauriel’s kick shot toward her face with no room to dodge.
Fushhh!
The wind from the kick swept through Abigail’s black hair, causing the long strands to flutter. But just before it made contact with her skin, Tauriel’s foot stopped mere inches away. Abigail held her breath, her heart pounding wildly, and cold sweat began to bead on her temples.
“Stand up. Who’s next?” Tauriel calmly withdrew her leg. For her, this situation was entirely normal. Abigail was still at Tier-3, and her combat experience was minimal compared to Tauriel’s.
Yet, no one raised their hand. Every student, whether from Aleron or Atruel, understood the vast gap in skill between them and Tauriel. The sheer dominance radiating from her presence made them think twice before stepping forward.
Tauriel sighed and glanced around the room. “Alright, we’ll end it here. You may continue training on your own.” Casually, she stepped down from the arena. A faint green energy shimmered around her, healing the minor fatigue in her body before gradually fading away. As usual, once she was satisfied, Tauriel returned to her signature green gown.
Before leaving, she offered a slight smile to all the students present. Then, in an instant, her figure vanished like the wind.
“Amazing… Miss Tauriel is incredibly strong,” one of the students murmured, still in awe of her skill.
“Yeah, no wonder she was chosen to succeed her father as the Guardian of the Silent Forest Realm.”
The students began discussing among themselves, their respect for Tauriel growing even deeper.
From behind, a soft voice greeted Laras. “Sister Laras, you were incredible to be able to keep up with Miss Tauriel.”
Laras turned to see a beautiful girl with long, pointed elf-like ears sitting beside her, gazing at her in admiration.

“Haha… I was just lucky, Selene. You can do it too if you keep practicing,” Laras replied humbly.
Selene was at the same power level as her, both at the Grandmaster stage, though Selene was still in the mid-phase.
“So, how about a sparring match tomorrow?” Selene asked excitedly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Laras smiled and nodded. “Alright, it’s a promise.”
The Guardian students slowly started forming their own bonds, becoming more familiar and getting to know each other better.
Training and sparring continued until exhaustion took over, and they all agreed to call it a day.
At the front deck of the spaceship, Lein and Aleron sat facing each other, fully focused on their chess game. The atmosphere around them was calm, with only the occasional sound of pieces sliding across the board breaking the silence.
Aleron gave a slight smile as he lifted his knight and moved it decisively, threatening Lein’s king. “Careful, Master Lein. You’re about to be in trouble,” he said, his warning carrying the tone of a subtle taunt.
Lein narrowed his eyes, trying to decipher his opponent’s moves. But the more he thought about it, the harder it became to find a way to turn the game around.
“Damn… how is this old man so good at chess?” he muttered under his breath, almost in disbelief.
At first, Lein had intended to introduce this Earth game to Aleron, hoping to gain some advantage. However, he soon realized that Aleron had a far deeper understanding than he had anticipated. Instead of teaching, Lein found himself repeatedly on the losing end.
Lein sighed, realizing this match would be a tough one. He still held onto his piece, staring at the board with deep consideration. His hand trembled slightly as he moved his king to a safer position. He hesitated for a moment before finally exhaling and saying, “Here.”
Aleron grinned, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. “There, huh? Watch closely, Master Lein,” he said mysteriously.
With a calm yet confident motion, his fingers lifted the bishop and directed it toward Lein’s queen. But he didn’t stop there—once the bishop had completed its move, the rook behind it advanced steadily, directly threatening Lein’s king with a two-pronged attack.
Lein’s eyes widened as he realized the trap his opponent had set. His enthusiasm for the game plummeted. “Damn… lost again,” he muttered helplessly. He already knew there was no escape this time, let alone any way to cheat his way out.
“Hahaha…”
Aleron’s triumphant laughter echoed through the room. “Master Lein, I have known this game for hundreds of thousands of years,” he explained proudly. That statement at least offered Lein a small comfort—at least he hadn’t lost to a novice.
Lein simply let out a resigned sigh. He kept trying to hold his ground as best he could, even though he knew that defeat was inevitable.
This was how their daily routine went. To pass the time during their journey, they engaged in various simple activities. Sometimes, Lein would spar and train the students, and at other times, he would have matches with Aleron and Tauriel.
This spaceship was vast, almost resembling a floating miniature city. It had various facilities—swimming pools, game rooms, and even a cosmic TV broadcast. However, the broadcasts were not live but rather pre-recorded replays. No technology was capable of transmitting live signals across the vast emptiness of space.
– Two Months Later –
That morning, at the front deck of the ship, Lein stood watching as Aleron trained to enhance his affinity with the Law of Space.
The air around Aleron felt strange, as if the world within a ten-meter radius around him rippled without pattern, like water distorted by an invisible force. The space around him appeared like waves in constant turmoil, seemingly rejecting any form of order.
Aleron’s task was simple but difficult—he had to calm the chaos and gain complete control over it.
Slowly but surely, Lein began to see a change. The chaotic ripples started to subside, as if submitting to Aleron’s will. The space around him became solid, so dense that even Lein’s divine awareness could not penetrate it.
“So this is what they call the Law of Space?” Lein murmured, his eyes widening in awe.
Over the past few days, he had learned a lot just by observing Aleron’s training. There were so many things that astonished him, especially regarding the three fundamental laws required for someone to reach Tier Three King status. Of these three laws, Aleron had already mastered two—The Law of Space and The Law of Energy.
