Floating Island - Triple S Talent - Chapter 427
Chapter 427: Cosmic Hunters
“If the Law of Space works like this, how am I able to create space within my own realm?” Lein wondered to himself. He questioned whether there was a difference between Aleron’s spatial teleportation and the actual Law of Space.
“Before mastering the Law of Space, of course, we can still open space, Master Lein.”
A soft yet firm voice suddenly spoke. Tauriel appeared beside him without a sound, then casually sat in an empty chair, her eyes observing Aleron’s ongoing training.
“But that isn’t truly opening space,” Tauriel continued. “It’s merely moving very quickly using our elemental energy.”
Lein listened intently. Tauriel explained that to teleport, one does not actually create a new space but rather forms a crack within the existing space. This crack is created by condensed elemental energy. When someone enters this crack, their body merges with the element, traveling through the spatial gap before emerging at their intended destination.
“But remember, this crack requires our core elemental energy,” Tauriel continued. “Without sufficiently strong elements, we cannot do it. That’s why this method is slower compared to direct comprehension of the Law of Space.”
To clarify, Tauriel immediately gave a demonstration. Her body, which had been sitting, suddenly vanished—without a sound, without a ripple, without any visible crack. In an instant, she reappeared in a different spot. The movement was so seamless, it was as if time and space had folded around her without leaving the slightest trace.
Lein was speechless, his eyes widening. He had just realized that the way he had been teleporting all this time still had its limitations. “So… the teleportation I’ve been doing is just pseudo-teleportation,” he thought to himself.
“So, I still need elemental energy to teleport?” he asked, seeking confirmation.
“Yes,” Tauriel nodded. “What you are doing still requires an intermediary. If your element cannot form at the destination point, then your teleportation will fail.”
Lein nodded again, slowly beginning to grasp the concept. His gaze shifted back to Aleron, who had just opened his eyes, breathing slightly heavily. His face was filled with frustration.
“Tch… this is so difficult…” he grumbled, then ran both hands over his face.
Tauriel and Lein exchanged glances before turning their attention back to Aleron.
“It seems you need to return to the Sacred Island for enlightenment,” Aleron remarked in a joking tone, though there was sincerity in his voice. He vanished from his spot and, in an instant, reappeared near their seats. That fast—without any signs of spatial disturbance.
Lein gave a faint smile. There was still so much he had to learn.
After adjusting to spatial displacement, Aleron once again displayed his cosmic map. He placed a piece of paper and a black stone at the center of the table. The stone vibrated continuously, as if indicating the direction they needed to take.
“Three months of travel, yet still no significant signs…” Aleron murmured softly, his eyes fixed on the shifting black stone.
Lein sat with his arms crossed, his own unease creeping in. Aside from the cosmic core, there were still several other things he needed to reach King Level 2.
“Master Aleron, can cosmic cores be bought and sold in the Dominion you mentioned?” he asked curiously.
Aleron let out a deep sigh, then looked at Lein for a moment before replying, “The chances are very slim. Once again, the price could be hundreds of times more expensive than obtaining it yourself by hunting creatures that drop cosmic cores.”
Lein gave a small smile, unfazed in the slightest. “I’ve told you, money isn’t an issue,” he said casually, confident that he only needed to see it once to acquire it.
Aleron fell silent for a moment, deep in thought. But before he could offer another response, Tauriel suddenly spoke up.
“There is one way,” she said in a relaxed tone. “But it is extremely difficult to achieve. Even so, this method is perfectly legal.”
Lein’s eyes widened with hope. “How, Lady Tauriel? Tell me!”
Tauriel looked at him with a neutral expression before explaining calmly, “It’s simple. You just need to make such a significant contribution that the ruler of the Dominion deems you worthy of a reward. If your contribution is great enough, you may receive permission to access his personal treasury.”
Upon hearing that explanation, Aleron immediately shook his head. “That’s almost impossible…” he muttered under his breath.
Lein fell into deep thought. If the cosmic core was given as a reward, that meant he had to accomplish something grand first before even confirming whether the prize was what he needed.
“Impossible… The ruler of a Dominion is beyond the King level,” Aleron stated firmly, shattering Lein’s fantasy of taking a shortcut.
“The only viable method is to hunt for it at an auction,” Aleron continued. “Even though the chances are slim, there is still a possibility of finding a cosmic core there.”
Lein was still considering that option when Aleron added, “But if we choose the auction, the time required could be much longer. We need to qualify as auction members first, and that is more exhausting than directly hunting monsters that drop cosmic cores.”

Lein eventually fell silent. Not because Aleron lacked information or a means to obtain one, but because their current power was still limited.
As he remained trapped in his thoughts, the space vessel, which had just completed a teleportation, suddenly emerged into an area filled with spatial turbulence. Violent spatial waves raged around them, causing strange lights to flicker outside the ship.
The moment they realized the threat surrounding them, Lein and the others immediately activated their elemental energy, forming a protective layer around the vessel to shield it from the chaos ahead.
In the distance, an intense battle was unfolding. Another ship, roughly the same size as theirs, was engaged in combat against a colossal humanoid creature. However, the creature’s body appeared unnatural—its various parts were oddly shaped, as if originating from another dimension.
“Cosmic Hunters,” Aleron muttered casually, his eyes observing the situation without a hint of concern. Judging by their energy, the hunters seemed to be at King Level 3 or King Level 4.
