Floating Island - Triple S Talent - Chapter 470
Chapter 470: Durnhardt
“They rejected it, Lady Serah,” Luxandor replied flatly. “It seems they have something valuable in their hands, enough to make them this confident.”
Lady Serah clenched her teeth, her breath becoming heavier. “If that man shows himself, I will move personally. This time, I’ll crush his head.” Her voice trembled with suppressed rage, and instantly, the temperature around her began to rise. The void trembled, creating a thin distortion illusion around her body.
Luxandor glanced at her briefly before turning his attention back to the space vessel in front of him. He knew full well that Lady Serah had unfinished business with the Votum Sect, and this battle might be the opportunity to settle it.
On the other hand, Lein remained silent, observing everything around him. His sharp eyes scanned every expression and movement, analyzing the situation without rushing to act.
Then, suddenly, a voice echoed through the void. There was no source. No visible figure. Yet the voice rang clearly, resonating through the emptiness.
“Magnus, I didn’t expect you to lead in person this time.”
Lein frowned. The voice came from nowhere, as if emerging directly from the void. The space around him remained silent, yet a strange pressure began to build.
The man in the purple robe standing in the center of the crowd let out a quiet grunt. Without saying a word, his eyes fixed on a single empty point in the void. Instantly, that point cracked like shattered glass, revealing someone hidden within a dimensional rift.
From within the now-open space, a man in a black robe stepped out. His face was hidden behind a white skull mask, making his aura all the more terrifying.
“Magnus, your eyes are truly remarkable. You can even pierce through my hiding space,” the masked man said with a tone of admiration.
Magnus—the patriarch of the Invictus Sect—remained silent. He merely observed the masked man without expression, showing no intention of leaving the protection of his space vessel.
The masked man chuckled softly, then leaned forward slightly. “Magnus,” he said in a more enticing tone, “I found ruins belonging to a god. Aren’t you interested in exploring them?”
Magnus narrowed his eyes slightly. Instantly, the atmosphere around him changed. Even amid an imminent battle, the mention of a god’s ruins held an irresistible allure.
“Where did you find it?” Magnus finally spoke, his voice more serious than before.
Lein watched closely. He knew that the status of a god in this world was the highest existence, far beyond any ruler. If those ruins truly existed, whatever was hidden within could potentially shift the balance of power in the realm of Sanctus Lux.
“I found them in another cosmos. If you’re interested, come out and we can talk further,” said the skull-masked man casually, as if his offer wasn’t something extraordinary.
Magnus remained silent, considering his words. His gaze stayed sharp, but his body showed no sign of moving out from the protection of his space vessel.
However, before Magnus could respond, another voice suddenly echoed from the void. A deep voice, calm yet carrying pressure equal to the others.
“Is that true? If so, I want to join.”
Lein tried to locate the source of the voice. However, even as he spread his elemental energy in all directions, there were no signs of the speaker’s presence. The voice seemed to emerge from the void itself, without a form to be seen or energy trace to be felt.
Lein’s gaze shifted to the skull-masked man, who now glanced to his side. The man’s eyes narrowed sharply, as if piercing through an unseen veil.
Tch…
The masked man clicked his tongue, a faint smile forming behind his mask. “So you’ve finally come out,” he muttered with a slight sigh. “I’d like to see how your Tenebrae Sect dares to rebel.”
Purple aura began to condense around the skull-masked man, swirling and gathering like dense mist. With a wave of his hand, a purple energy cube formed, locking onto a point in the empty space.
Lein stared at the cube sharply. So, that’s where the voice was hiding…
Without hesitation, the masked man raised his hand, forming a massive circle above the cube. The diameter of the circle was enormous, equal to the size of a football field. “Feel this curse,” he said casually.
From within the circle, green light burst forth, carrying dozens of black orbs spinning in a vortex of purple energy. Like a heavy rain, the black orbs shot toward the cube, bombarding it relentlessly without pause.
From inside the space vessel, Luxandor watched the situation with a serious expression. “Are they starting?” he murmured.
Luxandor narrowed his eyes as he saw the black orbs hidden within the green light. “The ancestral curse of the Maledictus Sect is no ordinary curse,” he said in a deep voice. “Each orb carries a deadly law of curse. If unlucky, the curse will remain until the target dies.”
Lein sharpened his hearing. A curse? he thought. He hadn’t expected a curse so powerful that it could last until the target’s death.

Lein’s eyes returned to the masked man, observing how effortlessly he launched the attack, as if nothing could withstand the law he controlled.
Can laws be this powerful? he wondered. If laws could be used in such a way, then a deeper understanding of them could become a tremendous strength.
His determination grew stronger. If he could grasp the laws, then combine them with his duplication talent… Lein could only imagine the devastating power he might achieve in the future.
Lein continued watching the masked man. The cube that had previously locked onto the voice’s location now trembled violently, as if struggling to contain something trying to break free. Suddenly, a narrow crack split its surface, and in an instant, a sharp black slash swept through the space, slicing the cube in two.
Above it, the curse circle hanging in the void also split apart. The purple light that had gathered in a circular formation now scattered, like dark clouds blown away by the wind.
“Hahaha… Damn it, your cube’s seal keeps getting stronger, Durnhardt.”
