Chapter 477: Lein’s clone action
Lein glanced at them one by one and said, “Build this pillar, and destroy any enemy you encounter.”
“Yes…”
“Okay…”
The inconsistent replies made Lein frown. His sharp gaze swept across his clones—some stood upright, ready for battle, while others looked less disciplined, even exchanging glances as if it was their first time seeing themselves.
They looked more like elementary school students failing to form a proper line than a well-trained combat force.
Lein let out a short sigh, then shouted firmly, “Move!”
Following his command, all of Lein’s clones scattered instantly, quickly leaving their positions. In an instant, the place was empty, leaving only Lein himself. But he wouldn’t remain idle. With one strong push, he shot forward, piercing through the air at incredible speed.
Lein soared like a meteor, heading toward the center of the manifestation zone. From there, the strongest energy fluctuations radiated, rippling wildly through the air. With each passing second, the atmosphere around him grew heavier, as if the very space itself was pressing down on anyone who dared approach.
Unbeknownst to Lein, every movement he made was being observed. In the distant sky above the manifestation zone, a man in a purple robe stood tall, his eyes sharply focused downward. He was the ancestor of the Invictus Sect, an ancient guardian currently activating a massive barrier to protect the zone. Yet a small part of his attention had now been drawn to a particular figure.
Magnus, the ancestor, had initially monitored the situation without much concern. Although minor skirmishes with the Tenebrae Sect had occurred, everything remained under control. His focus stayed on maintaining the stability of the zone, ensuring that the manifestation laws were not disrupted.
But something changed. His instincts screamed that something was amiss, something he couldn’t ignore. Magnus glanced down toward the manifestation zone, and his pupils narrowed slightly.
Tens of thousands of figures moved swiftly like shadows, constructing pillars at a speed that defied reason. From his height, the scene below looked like a swarm of ants surrounding food crumbs, spreading without pause, working with extraordinary precision.
“Who is that?” Magnus muttered, his voice low and filled with caution.
Beside him, a man named Darius stood firmly, his aura emitting a radiant light that gradually dispelled the fog surrounding the area. Hearing Magnus’ voice, he turned and followed the direction of the ancestor’s gaze.
“Ancestor of the sect,” Darius replied respectfully. “He is a newcomer invited by the sect leader to assist us.”
Magnus didn’t respond right away. His eyes returned to the figure below, now fully aware of his presence.
“As a player…” he murmured slowly, his tone heavy and filled with doubt. “How can he divide his body that many times?”
Those who possess the ability to form large numbers of clones usually come from the Faithwarden faction. They can create many bodies thanks to the power of their faith, shaping them according to the gods they worship. But that young man… he wasn’t a Faithwarden.
Magnus grew more intrigued. His sharp gaze once again followed Lein, who was still speeding toward the center of the zone, surrounded by thousands of clones tirelessly working.
“What exactly is going on here?” Magnus whispered, now giving his full attention.
Hearing Magnus’ question, Darius remained silent. He didn’t truly understand Lein’s abilities either. They hadn’t even met in person and had never seen him fight before. All he knew was that Lein had been invited by the sect leader to help secure the manifestation zone.
Magnus continued watching the movements of Lein’s clones below. The entire area of the manifestation zone near their position had already been taken over. Transparent blue pillars stood firmly, surrounding the area and ensuring the law energy within remained stable and intact.
“Thirty percent secured. We should be able to take more than fifty,” Magnus muttered with a hint of satisfaction.
“Yes, sir. With fifty percent, we might be able to produce two more king-level candidates for the sect,” Darius responded with enthusiasm. Law seeds were the foundation of every sect, so it was no surprise that he felt pleased with the progress.
“Brother Lein?”
Laras, currently in combat mode, observed Lein as he worked on constructing a pillar. But something seemed off. Lein showed no reaction to her presence, not even glancing in her direction. Her brow furrowed as she realized something.
“Are you a clone?” she asked, already suspecting the answer.
“Yes, Sister Laras. I’m busy—please don’t disturb me,” the clone Lein replied hurriedly. His hands moved quickly, assembling the pillar with precision. It didn’t take long before the pillar stood tall, glowing brightly and linking with the others to form a barrier that enclosed the area.
Laras could only roll her eyes. She was already used to the unique personalities of Lein’s clones. Although they had independent thoughts, their intelligence was still lower than that of the real Lein.
As the clone Lein prepared to leave, someone suddenly appeared in front of them—a man in a dark robe, his aura swirling like a storm vortex. His energy was powerful, indicating that he was at the Grandmaster level.

The clone Lein immediately sensed it. Without hesitation, he shot toward the man. The air around him trembled as he moved, leaving behind a faint trail of mist.
An explosion occurred instantly. The clone Lein’s body erupted in midair, obliterating the dark-robed man in a single instant. The residual energy particles scattered, vanishing into the gentle breeze.
Laras, who had been observing from behind, initially remained calm. She knew well that Lein’s clones were powerful, not much weaker than the real body. However, her expression shifted when she noticed something else.
From behind the remnants of the explosion’s mist, another figure emerged. Another man in a black robe stood firmly, his aura far more oppressive than the one before.
“Sister Laras, step back. I’ll handle this one,” said a clone Lein from a distance. This time, his opponent appeared to be at Tier 2 King level.
