Floating Island - Triple S Talent - Chapter 481
Chapter 481: Surrender
The three other primate souls immediately sprang into action, their bodies shooting forward at incredible speed. They didn’t wait for the attack to come—on the contrary, they launched themselves first, charging toward the man in the black cloak with full force.
Meanwhile, Clone Lein did not remain idle. He gripped his spear tightly and dashed through the chaotic battlefield.
On the other side, the man in the black cloak also summoned his own domain spirits. From the void emerged ferocious creatures—a shimmering dragon with diamond-hard scales, a colossal serpent whose body pierced the shadowed skies, and a mighty lion with a mane ablaze like a red sun.
A clash of power was inevitable. Roars and thunderous impacts echoed as the domain beasts collided, unleashing shockwaves that rattled the void. Amid the chaos, Clone Lein surged forward, targeting the man in the black cloak without hesitation.
With both hands, he activated all of his sword techniques. Blades of light flashed, leaving thin trails through the emptiness. But despite the speed and strength of his strikes, each slash felt like it hit an invisible wall. The man in the black cloak defended himself by manipulating the laws of space, making Lein’s attacks struggle to pierce his defenses.
From the other side, one of Lein’s primate souls—Cosmic Howler—tilted its head back and howled long and loud. The sound shook the surrounding space, creating ripples in the void that spread like waves. Instantly, a black dot formed in the emptiness, pulsating as if it had its own gravity, then expanded into a vortex that sucked in everything nearby.
Clone Lein watched carefully. He noticed something. The man in the black cloak seemed to struggle when attempting to use spatial laws to evade. His movements slowed, and it took longer for him to open a portal. The black vortex created by Cosmic Howler appeared to disrupt the man’s spatial control.
“Got you,” Clone Lein murmured softly. A plan began to form in his mind.
His eyes lit up with sharp determination. He raised his hand once more, summoning more Cosmic Howlers from within his soul space. One by one, colossal wolves, each towering over a hundred meters tall, emerged from the void. They did not wait for orders. The moment they appeared, they all howled in unison.
The sky trembled. From each howl, new vortices of cosmic energy formed, increasing in number until they reached the hundreds. Each vortex spun with terrifying intensity, unleashing ripples of void that further disrupted spatial stability.
“No… what level are those spirits?!” The voice of the man in the black cloak sounded heavy, almost desperate. He tried to open a spatial portal again, but this time, the process was drastically slowed.
Clone Lein gave him no chance. Amidst his opponent’s despair, the tail of Blood Voidtail Primate pierced through the void, shooting straight at him.
The man’s eyes widened. The portal in front of him was still forming, but he knew—he wouldn’t make it in time.
In a panic, he chanted his final defense. A black triangular shield formed in front of him, with three golden bells spinning at each of its corners.
Ting…
The sound of bells echoed. But moments later…
Crack!
The first fracture appeared on the surface of the shield. Followed by the second, and the third—until the primate’s blood tail pierced through the barrier, driving straight into his chest.
The man’s pupils shrank.
Too late.
The tip of the tail stabbed through his chest brutally, emerging from his back. An excruciating pain surged through his entire body, but his mind reacted quickly. He gripped the tail with both hands as tightly as he could.
Black energy flowed from his palms, crawling along the tail, spreading toward the body of Blood Voidtail Primate in the distance.
As soon as the black energy reached the primate’s body, a violent explosion of black flames erupted, engulfing the massive creature completely.
Arghh!
Blood Voidtail Primate roared in agony, its body burning in the rampaging black fire. Thick smoke rose from its wounds, while its soul energy drained at a terrifying rate. Clone Lein could feel every strand of power being siphoned from the spirit, as if an invisible hand was gripping and crushing its existence.
But the assault didn’t end there. The other soul beasts joined the attack on the man in the black cloak, who was now trapped with no way out.
A massive shadow descended from the sky. Celestial Primate—a giant, white-furred primate with a muscular body—landed directly in front of their enemy. The ground shook violently under its weight, leaving cracks that spread like a spider’s web. Without giving the man a chance to breathe, Celestial Primate raised its fists, cosmic energy wildly pulsing around both hands.
Boom!
Boom!
Every punch not only shattered the opponent’s body but also disrupted the surrounding space. Waves of void energy spread from each impact, breaking the balance of spatial laws in the area. The man in the black cloak was flung into the air, then crashed hard into the ground. Dust flew, while the earth caved in, forming a massive crater.

“No…!”
His voice cracked, a mix of fear and despair.
“Master… I surrender!” he shouted, his body trembling.
But Clone Lein only stared coldly. There was no mercy in his eyes. The man in the black cloak had gone too far, and there was no reason to stop the attack. Without hesitation, Lein joined in, his sword slashing in a deadly rhythm. Each swing emitted a sharp gleam, slicing through the air at near-invisible speed.
It didn’t take long.
The figure in the black cloak shattered, breaking into fragments of shadow that scattered in all directions.
Clone Lein narrowed his eyes, scanning the remnants of his foe.
“Is he dead?” he murmured softly.
He waited. But no system notification appeared. There was no sign that the battle had truly ended. Lein frowned. If the enemy had been completely eliminated, the system should have confirmed it. But now, only silence remained.
“Is he still alive?” Lein spread out his dream energy, letting waves of power sweep through the surrounding space. Yet he sensed no signs of life.
For a moment, he hesitated. But then, he dismissed the thought.
His goal wasn’t to hunt enemies—it was to build the pillar.
Without further thought, Lein deactivated his soul altar and turned away, as if the battle just now had been nothing more than routine.
