Floating Island - Triple S Talent - Chapter 494
Chapter 494: Thurok Gift
Their conversation flowed smoothly, covering topics like the lives of the elders, the structure of the Sanctus Lux Realm, other sects, and notable events that had taken place in the region.
As a Third-Level King and a long-standing elder, Thurok shared many stories with Lein—each one filled with insight and wisdom.
Lein listened intently, occasionally sipping his drink. He began to realize that Thurok wasn’t the kind of person who sought fame or power. He seemed to prefer a peaceful life, only stepping in when necessary. Most of his time was spent on the Elder Island, unless an important mission required his presence elsewhere.
Between conversations, a few other elders came over and greeted Lein, who had just arrived at the island. Their welcome was warm, like they were greeting a long-lost family member. At first, Lein remained formal, but gradually, he began to sense the sincerity in their interactions.
The way the elders treated him gave Lein a new perspective on the Invitus Sect. It wasn’t just their power or martial heritage that had kept the sect alive—it was the way they built their foundation on unity. There was no arrogance from these elders who had lived for thousands of years, only mutual respect and brotherhood. That, Lein realized, was why the sect had stood strong for millions of years.
After chatting for a few hours, Thurok finally invited Lein and Efan to search for a place where Lein could settle on the Elder Island.
They walked through different regions, each with its own unique charm. There was a peaceful area near a quiet lake, and another hidden deep within a forest rich with natural energy.
But what caught Lein’s attention was a high mountain peak. From there, he could see the vast ocean stretching far into the distance, offering a view that was both peaceful and majestic.
“Are you sure, Lord Lein?” Thurok asked, just to be certain.
Lein looked out over the scenery. A cool breeze brushed against his face, carrying the salty scent of the sea mixed with the crisp freshness of the mountains. His eyes swept across the area—the towering cliffs, the wide plateau at the peak, and the glittering blue ocean far beyond. The view stirred a rare sense of calm within him, something he hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Yes, I’m sure, Master Thurok,” Lein replied firmly.
An old man with a long beard, wearing a worn-out orange robe, gave a faint smile. “A fine choice, Lord Lein. My own residence isn’t far from here.” He raised his hand and pointed toward a distant mountain. From where Lein stood, he could see a grand residence perched steadily at its peak.
Thurok nodded. “Alright.”
With a light motion, he raised his hand. Instantly, pure light energy flowed from his palm—gentle, yet brimming with power. In a matter of seconds, the jagged mountaintop was cleanly sliced off, leaving a perfectly flat plateau. The forest and vegetation that had once covered the area vanished without a trace, as if swept away by a force beyond human comprehension.
Lein swallowed hard, amazed by Thurok’s efficiency and raw strength. He had already known the man was powerful, but seeing him in action was another level entirely.
Thurok then pulled something out of his spatial ring—a tiny house miniature that floated in midair, glowing with a soft light. Calmly, he injected light energy into it and guided the miniature toward the center of the newly flattened land.
Lein held his breath as he witnessed the miracle unfold before his eyes. In a blink, the miniature began to expand. The building’s foundation emerged first, followed by towering walls. The main hall rose magnificently, with additional pavilions forming in orderly rows. Stone paths snaked between lush gardens, and a grand gate stood tall at the front. It all happened within seconds, like a high-level magic trick that defied belief.
“Thurok, didn’t you say you didn’t have any more building relics?” asked a middle-aged woman standing behind him.
Thurok didn’t answer right away. He simply shrugged, as if the question wasn’t all that important.
“This is Lord Lein’s first time arriving in the Sanctus Lux Realm,” he said, still channeling energy into the building relic in his hand. Faint light shimmered from his fingers, flowing smoothly into the miniature.
“Consider it a gift from me,” he added with a small smile.
The woman clicked her tongue, clearly skeptical that something so valuable could be considered a simple gift.
Lein felt the same. There was no way the old man would give him something this precious without a reason. He narrowed his eyes slightly at the thought. Is he trying to make Laras his disciple?
He still didn’t fully understand why people were so eager to take on disciples. Didn’t that just mean giving up their own freedom as a teacher? On top of that, guiding a student drained resources. What exactly did they gain from it?
Lein sighed and decided to push the thought aside for now. His attention returned to the magnificent structure now standing proudly on the mountaintop. In just a short moment, the building relic had fully manifested.
“It’s done,” Thurok said with a satisfied tone as he stepped down to the front gate.
“Come, Lord Lein. Have a look for yourself.”
Lein and the other elders followed Thurok closer to the residence. Before them stood a tall, majestic gate, blocking the view beyond. With a casual wave of his hand, Thurok opened the gate, revealing the scene inside.
A wooden path stretched straight ahead, flanked by neatly arranged gardens. In the distance stood the main building, a classic design built entirely of wood. The structure looked solid, yet radiated a calming warmth.
Lein’s eyes widened slightly at the beauty of the design. It felt like the place had been created by someone who truly understood aesthetics and comfort.

Whoa… he couldn’t help but admire it inwardly.
Thurok chuckled and quickened his pace toward a small pavilion by the pond. “Well, what do you think, Lord Lein?” he asked, full of confidence.
Lein smiled, clearly impressed. “It’s wonderful, Master Thurok. I really like it,” he said sincerely. But one thing still nagged at him—how did Thurok know exactly the kind of building he’d like?
As if reading his thoughts, Thurok let out a small laugh. “This relic came from a legendary architect from a neighboring Dominion,” he said, his voice slightly heavy, as if recalling a painful memory. “It didn’t come cheap, you know.”
Lein shot Thurok a narrow-eyed look. The old man was clearly trying to boost his own image again, making sure everyone knew just how much he had contributed.
Damn, this old man really has no shame, Lein muttered inwardly.
