Chapter 540: Towards the chamber of commerce
Laras followed behind, flanked by Dragnar and several other guards. Along the way, some ordinary residents greeted her with polite nods. These were people without divine energy in their bodies—a clear sign they had not chosen the path of cultivation. A few children even looked at her with sparkling eyes, amazed by her glowing beauty after the breakthrough.
As her pace slowed, Laras turned to Dragnar and asked, “By the way, where did Brother Lein go?”
She was still a bit surprised by Dragnar’s sudden appearance and couldn’t help but wonder—where had Lein found such a powerful subordinate?
“He said he had business with someone named Veyron, my lady. I don’t know the details,” Dragnar replied calmly and clearly, as if there was nothing to hide.
Laras gave a slight nod, her curiosity easing. At least Lein hadn’t left without a trace. She remembered their earlier encounter with Veyron in the void between realms—a place beyond the grasp of normal human understanding. At the time, they had appeared to be making some serious deal. Perhaps this was a continuation of that.
Their walk didn’t take long. Soon, Laras and her group arrived at Lein’s residence. A massive gate stood tall, blocking the view into the complex. When the gate opened, Laras couldn’t hide her astonishment. Her eyes widened, and her lips parted slightly.
As she stepped inside, the guards bowed in greeting, and the scene before her immediately caught her attention. A grand main building stood in the center of the estate, surrounded by vast gardens, tranquil ponds, elegant pavilions, watchtowers, and even a small playground in the eastern corner.
“It’s so beautiful…” Laras murmured unconsciously, her voice like a whisper carried by the wind.
She kept walking, following the attendant’s lead until they arrived in front of the main building. It was made of a dark, polished wood, appearing both sturdy and refined. Every corner was adorned with delicate ornaments, carved in intricate detail—a sign that this was more than just a residence. It was a symbol of status.
“Did Brother Lein rent this place… or build it himself?” Laras wondered silently, half in disbelief.
An attendant approached her with a courteous expression, then delivered some important news—apparently, Laras had been in meditation and breakthrough for six full days. She froze for a moment upon hearing that. For her, it had felt like only a moment had passed.
Not wanting to dwell on unnecessary thoughts, Laras finally stepped inside. The main hall welcomed her with the same grandeur as the exterior. High ceilings, polished floors, and the gentle scent of wood and spices filled the space with both warmth and majesty.
Several attendants were already waiting inside, standing in neat rows with respectful postures. Among them, a woman in her thirties wearing a tidy uniform stepped forward.
“Welcome, my lady. Your meal has been prepared,” she said softly, offering a warm smile. It seemed she had been informed in advance by the head butler that Laras would need a proper feast the moment she awoke.
Laras returned the smile gently, nodded, and followed the woman toward the dining room.
When she saw the food laid out, Laras’s eyes lit up. Plate after plate was filled with delicious-looking dishes: steaming meats, warm soups with soothing aromas, and various exotic specialties she had never tasted before. Unable to hold herself back any longer, she sat down and began eating right away.
The taste… was incredible.
But after a few bites, Laras realized that everyone around her was quietly watching. Dragnar sat calmly, while the attendants stood in silence, waiting for instructions.
Laras’s cheeks began to flush. She only now realized how eager—perhaps even “enthusiastic”—she had looked while eating.
“Ahem… you guys should eat too. Join me,” Laras said casually, trying to mask her embarrassment with a relaxed gesture.
Without hesitation, Dragnar pulled out a chair and began eating, his expression calm as if nothing unusual had happened. Some of the attendants glanced at each other, unsure. They looked to the head attendant, awaiting guidance.
A small nod from her was all it took. A few attendants sat down and began eating as well, maintaining decorum while still keeping the honored guest company.
The silence finally broke, replaced by a warm and simple mealtime atmosphere—despite the lavish setting. For Laras, it was enough to make her feel at ease once more.

Lein and Efan were currently in the heart of Zenithra Realm’s main city, a place so futuristic it made them feel slightly out of place. They walked side by side along a wide sidewalk, watching sleek vehicles speed by on floating lanes just a few meters above the glossy black asphalt. Each one looked aerodynamic, as if crafted by both science and art.
Skyscrapers towered from the ground, not just in height but in strange, unfamiliar designs. Some spiraled upward as if slicing the sky, while others curved in perfect symmetry like intricate sculptures. One building was even connected to another through a hovering glass bridge, forming a complex network in the air—like massive roots branching through the sky.
“Wow… no wonder the Five-Star Trade Chamber chose this place,” Efan muttered in awe. His head tilted back as he watched giant air balloons gliding swiftly through the clouds. These floating orbs served as mobile information centers, casting holographic lights that displayed advertisements or the latest news right in the sky.
They continued walking through the busy crowds, surrounded by people of all races and backgrounds. Their appearances varied—some wore formal business attire, while others donned full battle gear. What surprised Lein the most was the overwhelming aura of power radiating from many of those they passed. Some were even of King-level rank. In this place, strength seemed to be a natural part of daily life.
“Efan, how much farther?” Lein asked, glancing over his shoulder. He paused briefly upon noticing Efan lagging a few meters behind.
Snapping out of his daze, Efan realized he’d been too caught up observing the surroundings. “Just a moment, Brother Lein.” He quickly reached into his spatial ring and pulled out a holographic map that floated mid-air. With a few finger gestures, he zoomed in and shifted the map’s view.

A few seconds later, he turned to Lein and pointed toward a tall building visible in the distance. “It’s not far—just past that main road up ahead. That’s the place.”
