Chapter 118: Chapter 58: Combat Training Plan_1
Amira tapped her fingers on the table. “What’s your estimate?”
Bella sighed again, rubbing her temple. “To properly man the walls without overworking our forces, we need at least 1,000 more recruits—minimum.”
Elias let out a low breath, muttering, “That’s a big gap.”
Bella nodded. “Exactly and right now, those working double shifts are getting burnt out which is not sustainable for long term. We need more hands on deck, or eventually, they’ll start making mistakes from fatigue.”
Amira expression darken, but she thought about it and nodded. “We can start looking for more volunteers and also we will get more people coming so there surely be some good candidate among them who will have experience in fighting mutated beast we can recruit them.”
Bella pointed a flaw she thought. “Even though we can get some of these people but still they will be in less number and for now we also can’t just throw new recruits onto the walls without proper training.”
“Which brings me to my next point—combat experience.” Amira then mentioned her thought to overcome that flaw as she looked at everyone. “As you all know that how we handled the previous two beast waves, while our own unit handled it completely and the new recruits barely got involved—most of them were stuck watching or providing backup.”
“This needs to change, so we need to start outdoor missions and hands-on training exercises to get them used to real combat situations. ” She let her words sink in for a moment before continuing. “Otherwise, when the next big threat arrives, we’ll be the only ones fighting again.”
Amira then leaned forward, as she looked at Aiden.
“Can you share your update too?” she asked, her tone thoughtful. “I have a plan in mind that could work, but I need your statistics first, especially since the majority of our forces are under your command.”
Aiden nodded without hesitation as one couldn’t come up with a solution without understanding the full scope of the problem. “Currently, I have around 1,500 soldiers from our original units, all of whom have awakened abilities and are highly experienced in combat. Plus they’ve fought against both human threats and mutated beasts, making them our strongest asset.”
There were silent nods around the table and no one doubted that this unit is battle-hardened.
Aiden the added. “We’ve also added 500 new recruits to our external forces. They’re still in training, but under proper guidance, they’re adapting quickly. At their current pace, they will soon be stronger than most of the military forces in the federation currently.”
A few people exchanged surprised glances. It wasn’t an exaggeration because their forces consist of special and covert units were already leagues ahead of what remained of the Federation’s army. But despite their overwhelming skill and adaptability, Aiden wasn’t satisfied.
He sighed, his expression grim. “Even with these numbers, we’re stretched thin.”
“Bella is right even these 2,000 forces isn’t enough. If we divide them in four directions, we’re left with 500 per team. That sounds like a solid number on paper, but considering our next-phase target expands beyond 200 kilometers from our current safe zone, it’s nowhere near enough.” He motioned to the digital map displaying their planned expansion area. “For nearby villages, we can manage. But once we start targeting towns and cities, our numbers won’t hold up.”
Tommy nodded, arms crossed. “Cities and towns have a large number of people and those who managed to hold up until now are already operating with thousands in their defenses. Even smaller towns will probably have 2,500 to 3,000 fighter at minimum. If we want to take control, we need at least more than half of their numbers in our assault team to ensure minimal casualties and a decisive victory.”
No one argued with Aiden’s logic as it was a hard truth, but a necessary one.
Amira, however, didn’t question his judgment. Instead, she asked the same question she had asked Bella earlier. “So what’s your estimate? How many more do you think we need to recruit?”
Aiden tilted his head, deep in thought. His eyes flickered over the numbers displayed on the screen, processing the current population, expected growth, and military requirements. “Under normal circumstances, a stable military-to-population in a wartime situation ratio is 1:10 or more. Meaning for every 10 civilians, we should have one soldier.”
“But these are not normal times and we can’t afford to follow that rule. Considering the state of the world, we should aim for at least 20% of our population being combat-ready.” Aiden paused, looking around the room before stating his final numbers.
“Right now, we have 60,000 people and according to this number we should have 6000 armored forces but its not currently.” Aiden paused for a moment and continued. “And soon, after we clear the next phase villages, we’ll pass the 100,000 mark so if we go by my estimate, we’ll need at least 15,000 to 20,000 armed forces.”
A tense silence followed as 15,000 to 20,000 soldiers was a massive number, but not impossible.
“We should have 5,000 assigned to internal security—guarding the walls, patrolling our stronghold, and managing local security. And for the remaining 10,000 to 15,000 should be divided into specialized teams.” Aiden pulled up a pre-drafted division plan on the screen, showing different combat units and their purposes.
As he showed a structure he had in mind and already prepared to show in meeting today.
Proposed Military Structure Main Assault Team – Its for engaging enemies head-on, and handling major battles.
Surveillance & Intelligence Team – For gathering information, and long-range recon mission.
Recon & Infiltration Team – For scouting ahead, and securing safe travel routes.

The room buzzed with murmurs of approval and doubts.
Aiden leaned back, watching Amira’s reaction. “This is my estimate. Now tell me—what’s your plan?”
All eyes turned to Amira as she remained silent for a moment, processing everything.
