Genetic Ascension - Chapter 1084
Chapter 1084: Royal Hero Line
This was definitely a huge deal. One that Sylas couldn’t easily put into words because of the complexities of it all.
There were two things that dictated the strength of a Bloodline. The first was obviously its Grade itself. But a Golden Bloodline established at Blood Essence wouldn’t be nearly as strong as a Golden Bloodline established at Bone Essence, let alone beyond that.
For a Hero Line’s weakest form to be at the Soul Construct Layer meant that Sylas’ starting position when he should form his Foundation was on another level compared to anyone else.
This would have a direct benefit to his F-Grade Foundation as well, and even if he didn’t successfully forge a new Hero Line just yet, or complete it to the level he wanted to, it would still have an enormous impact on how powerful he was at E-Grade.
Just the synergy between his stats, the strength of his Gene Classes, and things of the like would be on another level entirely.
But obviously, a Line forged to the Race Quintessence Layer was the absolute strongest, and logically, that should follow.
At that point, you wouldn’t just be creating a Line… you would be crafting an entirely new Race with your own hands.
You wouldn’t just be a Human, or a Thryskai, or a Sylph with a special Bloodline. You would be a Race that existed separately from whomever you descended from.
And yet, that wasn’t the main kicker either…
—
[What Layer of the body is a Royal Hero Line established on?]
[The weakest Hero Lines are formed at the Will Manifestation Layer.]
—
As expected. The benefits to a Royal Hero Line were even better than a Hero Line alone.
Just to put this matter into perspective, even if Sylas completely neglected his Royal Line for the time being, waiting until he was far stronger before he truly established it, just the ability to forge a Foundation that connected with his Will Manifestation Layer at a minimum would make him an absolute monster at the E-Grade.
This also had to take into account what was known as “Hero Aura” as well.
After several more questions to the Madness Key, taking advantage of its ease of use all of a sudden, Sylas had built a full picture of what was happening.
The first and most important point was that he didn’t have to build his Royal Hero Line right now. In fact, waiting was the best option. The best analogy was similar to how career people might wait to have children.
The higher the Tier Sylas was in when he established his Royal Hero Line, the stronger his Royal Hero Line would be. If he established it in the F-Grade, though it would make him immediately far more powerful, it would limit its future growth as well.
In addition, the children he had in the future would only be granted the benefits of his Bloodline up and through the F-Grade, and they would have to establish the rest on their own.
Of course, that would be possible because it was a Royal Hero Line, but it wouldn’t be ideal, all things considered.
Sylas didn’t care much about how powerful his children became because he planned to hold up the skies himself, but that didn’t mean that he would purposely make them weak either.
Plus, waiting benefited him as well.
Because it was a Royal Hero Line, there was much more flexibility to his own. Meaning, even if he did establish it at the F-Grade, he could do it again at E-Grade, and again at D, so on and so forth.
But every time he did so, the challenges would grow harder and more difficult to manage until the point he would be overwhelmed and likely die from a Quest too impossible to manage.
Obviously, though, waiting came with a great amount of risk. If you ever reached a bottleneck and couldn’t push yourself to the brink of a Tier, you would obviously never get the chance to establish a Foundation, and thus your Royal Hero Line, or whatever Line you had for that matter, would be wasted.
As such, those granted the chance to establish Bloodlines had no choice but to establish them at the Tiers they were most confident in reaching the end of. If you were iffy on whether you could make it through the next 50 levels, it was far smarter to cut your losses and establish right then and there.
Often, this boost would be enough to help you make it through those 50 levels anyway, and if you had a Hero Line, you’d have a chance at establishing again for a cost.
The second important point that Sylas realized was that even if he didn’t establish it now, he would still benefit a great deal. Even without establishing a Royal Hero Line, he could still link his F-Grade Foundation to his Will Manifestation Layer, and benefit directly from that.
Because he had Hero Aura now, if he could do this, that meant that even without the Gluttony Seed, his Will alone would be powerful enough to face off against those two Tiers above him.

This was exactly what Hero Aura was. If Grade Slayer allowed him to ignore E-Grade, King Slayer was like handing him the keys to suppressing E-Grade while ignoring D-Grades.
Once Sylas made it to E-Grade, he would be able to suppress D-Grades and ignore C-Grades! In fact, that trend would continue when he progressed to D-Grade as well, allowing him to suppress C-Grades and ignore B-Grades!
Beyond this, though, the Madness Key seemed to have glitched out and couldn’t answer. It was clear that if D-Grades were the first enormous demarcating line, A-Grade just might be the next one.
Sylas clenched his fist and then slowly released it. He didn’t expect to receive such treatment this time around, but it was welcome nonetheless.
He had been forced to Level up before he was ready, and that had caused more than just a small little ding in his foundation. In all likelihood, he would never be able to make up for that, but that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t be able to grow strong in other ways…
Especially since a chance at a Hero Line wasn’t the only thing he gained this time.
Nosphaleen becoming a Progenitor had come with a surprising twist.
