Genetic Ascension - Chapter 1092
Chapter 1092: True Goal [Bonus]

Sylas gave the Clypsians a glance and then directly ignored them.
“Let’s go, Gogo.”
The Basilisk King opened his maw and roared before his telekinesis trembled the ground beneath them, launching them into the air.
There was a light flicker of a smile in Sylas’ eyes.
‘Not bad…’ he thought.
Right now, Gogo was very long and very heavy—probably twice the weight of a blue whale at this point, given his density. For him to be able to produce enough strength in his telekinesis to maneuver through the air like this would require his Will to be capable of exerting about as much force as Sylas’ could without the reliance on his Lust and Gluttony Seed.
Before, Gogo certainly hadn’t been able to do this. It must be a recent change.
Sylas and Gogo shot off into the distance, leaving the Clypsians—who had just been clashing about how to divide him up—stunned.
How could someone who had just ended up so injured… return as though nothing at all had happened?
…
Sylas and Gogo appeared high above a dormant volcano.
‘This should be the easiest place…’
Sylas crouched down and patted Gogo’s head. Then, with a step, his partner vanished while Sylas fell in a sizzling, slicing beam straight down.
At first, there was a frigid cold that bit at him, but quite quickly, the temperature began to increase. However, the harsh cold and oppressive heat didn’t last for very long before Sylas was wrapped up by another feeling.
Protection.
This was the real reason Sylas wanted to come here. He was still fused with Nosphaleen, and he needed the protections of a Progenitor in order to successfully accomplish what he wanted to.
How had Sylas killed that D-Grade? It was by using principles he learned through the UniForm.
This planet was modeled after Earth, and it already gave him a strong connection to it. This was why his Luck worked so well here. However, it was modeled only after a very specific period of Earth—that being the period tied to the Clypsians.
That left Nosphaleen in the perfect position to take advantage. Not only could she rely on him as a Progenitor of Earth to make the world quite warm to her, but she was also a Clypsian and thus the most suited to benefitting from this Frostbane World as well.
All she was missing was Overlord status.
Sylas wasn’t actually sure if it was possible to become a Progenitor without Overlord status, but he knew that even if it was possible, it would be much harder than normal.
But he was certain that if he could get Nosphaleen Overlord status, the world would almost immediately react to her and crown her Progenitor because of all the reasons already stated.
Once Nosphaleen became a Progenitor, their fusion was akin to giving Sylas wings. The world reacted to him just the same way Earth did, making everything thousands of times easier on him…
Including the wielding of Runes he had no business being capable of wielding.
Because of that, he had been able to use the D-Grade Runes of the dungeon more directly and slaughter Cenk. But that was still only one aspect of it, because what truly gave him the upper hand was Glassvolt Throne.
It was designed to increase the power of his Glassvolt Aether beyond the realms his body could withstand, and as its description said…

How could he understand a world better than being fused to the Progenitor of it? With his Rune Spark mastery layered on top of that, let alone the D-Grade, the power of his Aether almost touched upon the C-Grade.
If not for the fact he only had D-Grade Runes to control—let alone an entire exchange—it would have taken him a single glance to kill Cenk where he stood.
There was no contest at all, and the power of having knowledge, understanding, and grasping the underlying theory of how things worked to take advantage of them was truly intoxicating.
And yet, killing Cenk was just an aftereffect of what Sylas’ true goals were.
‘There…’
Sylas sank down to the core of the planet. There, ahead of him, was a familiar sight. But rather than being a blinding gold pulsing with life and vitality everywhere, Sylas found that he was actually looking at what looked like a silver-blue pulsing star.
It was beautiful, and the Runes that formed it were very different from the ones Sylas had seen on Earth. A large part of him even wanted to take his time to study them.
These World Runes reminded him a lot of Gene Runes—not in their similarity, but instead in how complex they were. It felt like they truly held the secrets that could make a man a God if they were ever truly comprehended.
But that wasn’t what Sylas was here for.
He took a breath and tapped into his insights with Nosphaleen.
“One more try,” he said softly.
Nosphaleen understood immediately. Her current mind was in a half-slumbering state, but she understood nonetheless.
It was time for another attempt at Total Merge.
This time, Sylas was sure they would succeed. And when they did, he had a feeling he would be able to feel the existences pulling strings in the background.
The moment he did… they would be marked.
At that point, their nightmare would begin.
Sylas took a deep breath, and he felt Nosphaleen relaxing.
What would happen if Fusion and Total Merge were activated at the same time?
Sylas hadn’t even considered this before, but it had to be remembered… there was a reward that he had received for making Nosphaleen a Progenitor. After all, he had completed a Hidden Quest…

Mospheral took a deep breath as he felt the pressure in the room multiply several times over.
It was time to see if the sacrifice was worth it.
“I have information that will be of great significance to the Main Clan.”
