What shocked Sylas the absolute most was the Will of the Basilisk King. Unlike his own, it didn’t face a cap at 999 at all. It shot right through it as though that wasn’t there at all.
But best of all…

These stats were only the stats of the Basilisk King when the Beast Totem wasn’t active.
Sylas had been storing the two million Free Experience he got from clearing two System Cities in his Woodland Territory for a long while now. But now, he felt that it was finally about time that he use them.

Sylas was a bit surprised that he didn’t receive an increase to how much he could buff his Contracts by. But it was still more than worthwhile to him.
The increase in the power of the Hibernation Realm was substantial, and with how much he was going to have to rely on the Basilisk King in this Dungeon, that was going to be needed.
Plus, the Fusion could now last far longer than he should ever need in a single battle.
Right now, upgrading the auxiliary abilities of Extricate wasn’t worth it. But this was.
And now… with the Beast Totem fully activated…
The Basilisk King’s stats looked like this.

A true monster.
Sylas didn’t know if it would run into a bottleneck or not. As far as he knew, if Leveling up was really so easy, then the Heirs of the hidden families wouldn’t still only just be crossing Level 30. But even if the Basilisk King was stuck here for a while…
He had nothing to complain about.

**[Leg 003]**

Sylas looked at his status screen to find that Leg 003 still hadn’t been cleared. He frowned for a moment and started looking around before he suddenly fell to a knee and coughed up a mouthful of blood.
His vision swam and he shuddered weakly.
In everything that was happening around him, he had forgotten just how severely injured he was.
There was a hole through his chest with a dense corrosion looking to suffocate his heart, and now there was an infection on his mangled right arm that was about to send him into septic shock.
It wouldn’t matter if his heart rotted if it stopped pumping blood first.
Sylas barely managed to keep himself up as he pulled out a Targeted Healing Elixir and swallowed it whole.
In what seemed like a shocking choice, rather than using his body control to send the Elixir’s medicinal effect toward the hole in his chest, he sent it toward his arm instead.
A +100 000% increase to his healing capacity for a single day was truly something. However, this Elixir wasn’t an anti-toxin. It had no ability to fight off the corrosion Sylas was experiencing.
That was dependent on him.
Sylas ignored Alex and Cole, stumbling toward the chain around the chimera’s ankle and undoing it.
The moment the loop was undone, the large amounts of Mature Aether in the air lost their home and surged toward Sylas instead.
Gritting his teeth, Sylas gathered up the last bits of Will and Wisdom he had, drawing Runes in the air.
To his surprise, the process was far easier than he expected. He was in so much pain that he almost missed the fact that the Blackened Claws had still found something to swallow up from the Rotten Chimera’s body, fueling him just the tiniest bit.
It was clear that the Rotten creatures didn’t have as much to take as true living creatures. But it was enough.
With his Runes powered by Mature Aether, Sylas became akin to a tiger with wings. The Demonic Poison in his body was ripped out, unable to fight back.
And once again, Sylas realized just how shocking a feat it was to be able to control 70 Foundation Runes. Even this powerful Rotten Chimera was only wielding Runes bordering on 50 Foundations, still a full two leaps away from Sylas.
With this difference, even though Sylas didn’t have an easy time dealing with Demonic Poison, it was still a matter without suspense.
Sylas exhaled a breath, using up a large amount of the Mature Aether to clear his body of the poison before allowing his true healing to begin.
Once his body was stabilized… he would have to find out what was missing to clear this third Leg.
