Chapter 105: Starting The Eating Competition
Receiving the chef’s murderous reply, Ayame didn’t back down and responded with murderous intention in her eyes as well.

On the other hand, seeing the chef and Ayame’s confrontation, ProGamerXD was ready to attack the chef if ever the chef made a move against them.

When the situation was about to break out, the chef immediately returned to his smiling and amiable state as he acted as if his previous murderous intention was just an illusion.

“So, do you want to start the eating contest or not?”

Hearing the chef’s question, Ayame and ProGamerXD pondered about the pros and cons of competing with the chef in an eating contest.

Just from the fat body of the chef, one could already say that they were a big eater and had a huge appetite. Or at least, they were someone who had a huge food intake.

Even if Ayame and ProGamerXD were to team up with each other to compete with the chef, the two of them doubt whether they could win or not, let alone win in an eating competition by themselves against the chef.

Since they couldn’t team up with each other to defeat the chef, the chances of them losing were higher.

If they lost, the chef would undoubtedly go through with his intention of cooking and eating them. They didn’t think that the chef was lying especially when the chef’s murderous intention was unconcealed.

It would take an ignorant and naive person to be unaware of that.

When Ayame and ProGamerXD heard the chef’s question, Ayame whispered to ProGamerXD, “Do you think we have a chance to win against that chef?”

In response, ProGamerXD shook his head, “I don’t think so. Unless you are a big eater and you are embarrassed to reveal it to us.”

Hearing ProGamerXD’s words, Ayame was doubting whether they should start the eating competition or not.

After contemplating it, Ayame asked, “Can we invite our teammates to participate in the eating competition?”

In response to Ayame’s question, the chef shook his head and replied, “You can’t. Only the first two players that arrive in the dining room can participate in the eating competition. You two can choose to reject the participation and that would lead to no one ever being qualified to participate in it.”

Hearing the chef’s reply, Ayame knew that there would be a lot of risk in competing against the chef in an eating competition. But if she and ProGamerXD didn’t participate in it, then they would lose the chance of obtaining a game item that they could use in this game.

‘Sigh. It was unfortunate that I couldn’t use the game items and powers I had in Zombie Survival Online. Otherwise, I could easily deceive the chef by connecting a portal inside my stomach and storing the eaten food in another dimension using my space manipulation superpower.’

‘Although I have some sort of confidence in my eating speed and appetite, it still isn’t enough to guarantee that I could win against that fat chef.’

When those thoughts came into Ayame’s mind, she finally decided to just go on with it.

‘The worst that could happen is ProGamerXD and I losing and then the two of us would have to join in the next game. Fortunately, this isn’t a death game and death here wouldn’t cause death in the real world.’

After coming to a decision, Ayame replied to the chef, “ProGamerXD and I will participate in the eating contest.”

When the chef heard Ayame’s response, the smile on the chef’s became wider to the point that it was too creepy to look at it. The chef’s squinting eyes revealed a murderous intention of wanting to eat Ayame and ProGamerXD as if he was looking at a bunch of fine ingredients and not a bunch of humans.

Seeing that Ayame agreed and ProGamerXD nodded as well, the chef clapped his hand, “Okay then! We will start the eating contest after all three of us are seated at our respective dining table.”

After informing Ayame and ProGamerXD about that, the chef headed to his dining table and sat on his chair. The chef hadn’t eaten yet since according to his words, the competition would only start after all three of them sat on their respective chairs.

The two of them didn’t bother delaying it since it was inevitable. Even if they lost the eating competition, they at least had to try it, or else they couldn’t obtain more information about it.

Even if other players who had already played Cozy Vacation Life shared information about this on the internet, it was useless for them to read it since the information would be sealed as long as it wasn’t them who had obtained it.

Knowing that, Ayame and ProGamerXD could only resort to trying the eating competition for themselves and if they fail, they could at least obtain information about it.

With that intention in mind, Ayame and ProGamerXD no longer delayed it and sat on their chairs.

When all three of them had sat on their chair, Ayame and ProGamerXD felt as if an unknown force had entered their body. It was as if they were bound to a contract of some sort.

However, they couldn’t ask the fat chef about it since the fat chef had already started eating as soon as the two of them had sat on their chairs.

“ProGamerXD, let’s start as well!”

Hearing Ayame’s words, ProGamerXD nodded and started eating the food that was on his dining table.

All of the food on the dining table was heavy such as pasta, fried chicken, grilled pork, baked turkey, etc. Most of them were meat but there were also vegetable salads as well.

Nonetheless, the total food intake of the food served on the dining table was enough for thirty people.

When ProGamerXD saw the huge amount of food on the dining table and he had to eat all of it, he started to believe he was in some sort of circle of hell where he was forced to commit the sin gluttony.
