Chapter 109: The Little Girl Crept Behind ProGamerXD’s Back
Walking down the stone staircase, the nine of them kept their composure as they all prepared for the worst.

Whether it was GoldMiner’s mangled body or his severed head in the underground room, Ayame and the rest had already started imagining GoldMiner’s demise and wouldn’t be surprised if he died.

If this was the real world, then they would undoubtedly be not as calm as they currently were. But since this was just a game world, they didn’t have to worry about GoldMiner’s safety.

The stone staircase was quite long and it took them a lot of time to walk down it. So to pass the time, Ayame and the rest were talking about GoldMiner’s demise and imagining his death scene.

“I bet that GoldMiner must have a mangled body where his flesh and blood are splattered across the room.”

ProGamerXD gossiped about GoldMiner’s possible death scene.

In response, Kayden gave his opinion, “Nah, GoldMiner’s death scene must not be too bloody and gory. It should be a clean death scene where his lower body is intact while his upper body is missing a head. As for where his head went, that’s part of the mystery of the cause of his death.”

Kayden was quite confident with his guess and he was eager to find out what happened to GoldMiner and whether his guess was indeed right.

Kuroneko shook his head and commented, “GoldMiner’s death scene might not have any corpse at all. Like, his body was taken away by a monster or evil spirit, leaving nothing at his death scene.”

When Bianca heard their comments about GoldMiner’s possible death scene, she had mixed feelings since GoldMiner had met his demise due to exploring the path for her.

Because of that, Bianca remained silent and didn’t comment anything about GoldMiner’s demise.

While they were talking with each other except for Bianca and Ayame who remained silent during their descent, they eventually arrived at the end of the stone staircase.

When they arrived at the end of the stone staircase, they saw a wooden chair and a wooden table.

Sitting on the wooden chair was none other than GoldMiner’s headless corpse!

GoldMiner’s head seemed to have disappeared and his body was unresponsive as if his soul had been taken away from his body.

While the boys were commenting about GoldMiner’s death scene, Ayame and Bianca paid attention to the black-colored book placed on the wooden table.

“ProGamerXD, touch that black book.”

Hearing his name being called by Ayame, ProGamerXD nodded his head and listened to her command.

Ayame’s words had also brought their attention back to the current matter at hand and they no longer chatted about GoldMiner’s demise.

Otherwise, if they remained complacent and didn’t take this seriously, they would die and accompany GoldMiner to the game lobby after experiencing a game over.

It would be a joke if they, the best gamer team line-up were to lose before the original storyline of Cozy Vacation Life had even started.

The luxury cruise ship storyline could be considered as the prologue of Cozy Vacation Life and the main storyline hasn’t started yet.

They would be too incompetent if they couldn’t even survive the prologue.

So with that in mind, they all focused their attention on the black-colored book mentioned by Ayame.

As long as someone wasn’t dumb, they would know that the cause of GoldMiner’s demise was due to the ominous black book on the wooden table. If that black book didn’t scream creepy and suspicious, then that person might be fearless.

Even when ProGamerXD agreed to Ayame’s words, he was still having second thoughts on whether he should really touch the black book or not.

Who knew if he touched the black book, he would lose his head and meet the same demise as GoldMiner?

The headless corpse of GoldMiner sitting on the wooden chair was quite a sight to behold and looking at it, it ignited the fear in ProGamerXD’s heart.

But knowing that he was a pro gamer and that his idol was looking at him, ProGamerXD didn’t want to show his pathetic side again!

With that in mind, he fearlessly touched the cover of the black book that has the cover title of “The Little Girl With A Balloon” on it.

However, when ProGamerXD touched the black book, he felt an unknown presence creeping behind his back.

“Big brother, have you seen my balloon~~?”

The sweet voice of a young girl resounded in ProGamerXD’s ears, making him feel as if a bucket of cold water was thrown at him!

The sweet yet bone-chilling voice of the young girl had sent a cold shiver down his spine. ProGamerXD dared not look behind him or else he feared that it would cause him nightmares.

Although ProGamerXD could feel the presence of someone behind him but couldn’t see the one behind him, that wasn’t the case for the rest of the team who could see a little girl appearing behind ProGamerXD.

The little girl was wearing a one-piece white dress but she wasn’t wearing any sandals or shoes. She has shoulder-length black hair that was stained with blood.

They couldn’t see the face of the little girl since she was facing towards ProGamerXD’s back.

However, one thing was certain in their minds.

The little girl was definitely the perpetrator of GoldMiner’s demise!
