Chapter 118: Mystery Behind JordanPlayz’s Disappearance
Hearing them being suspicious of him and about to accuse him of JordanPlayz’s disappearance, Kayden rolled his eyes and explained, “I use my golden bell to summon my maid and I asked her to tell me what the time was.”

“She told me that it was midnight and even gave me a pocket watch so I got to know about the time when that scream woke us up.”

After proving his innocence, Kayden added, “We might be able to find the cause of JordanPlayz’s disappearance if we summon my maid using my golden bell and ask her about it. The staff probably had known about JordanPlayz’s disappearance.”

Before Kayden was about to ring his golden bell, Winston stopped him from doing so as he interjected, “Wait, you are overthinking it.”

“Remember when the butler gave us a golden bell each? He had warned us about this. JordanPlayz decided to not take the golden bell so he could test out the results of not receiving it from the butler. However, that test proved to be fatal to his life since some horrors might have lurked in this luxurious cruise ship.”

“The golden bell might be the thing that generated that soothing bell sound at midnight. It must have used it to ward off the horrors at night so we didn’t meet our demise due to it.”

But before Winston could continue his explanation, the staff of the luxury cruise ship entered the dining room with trays filled with breakfast.

One of the butlers bowed at them and informed them, “We are only several minutes away from arriving at Vacation Paradise Island. I suggest you all eat as soon as possible since you might not like the food in Windesburg Hotel.”

Hearing the butler’s information, Kayden wanted to ask him a question but the butler already left.

Instead, he asked one of the maids serving their breakfast on the dining table, “What happened at midnight? What was the cause of the scream and that bell sound? Our friend had disappeared and we want to find him.”

When Kayden asked that question, the maid listened and soon replied while still serving breakfast on the dining table from the food tray, “Those who don’t have the golden bell will be evicted by the guardian of the cruise ship. It’s the ship spirit of this luxury cruise ship and the golden bell is an identification token that proves that you are a passenger of this ship.”

“Without it, the ship spirit will pick up that stowaway and throw his body into the ocean. So your friend might have already swam with the sharks.”

“There has been a lot of stowaways nowadays so the captain created a ship spirit that acted as the guardian of this ship. It’s a pity that your friend was stubborn and didn’t listen to that butler’s advice.”

Receiving that answer from the maid, Kayden and the rest of them sighed.

Kayden commented while eating his breakfast, “Cozy Vacation Life isn’t easy. There a lot of traps and pitfalls and if one isn’t careful, it would be game over.”

“Furthermore, we only have one day on the luxury cruise ship so we can explore the rest of it in the next game session. At least we now know the result of refusing to accept the golden bell. It seems that it’s not only useful for having a summoned servant but also for warding off the ship spirit.”

The rest of them silently agreed with Kayden as they all continued eating their breakfast.

After they ate their breakfast with haste and finished, Ayame wiped her mouth with a napkin and pondered, “Why did one of those butlers mention dislike for the food in Windesburg Hotel? I think there’s something fishy here. And it’s not the salmon we just ate.”

Hearing Ayame’s suspicion, Winston commented, “There is probably something wrong with the food at Windesburg Hotel. Or, it’s also possible that the butlers and maids on the luxury cruise ship have prejudice toward the food at Windesburg Hotel. But that’s unlikely since this is a horror game and not a business tycoon game.”

“Of course, we can also choose to ignore their warning but JordanPlayz had already given an example of the result of ignoring the cruise ship staff’s words of advice.”

Kuroneko nodded and agreed, “True. JordanPlayz fucked up big time. We’ll tease him in the Dislord server and tell the other members that he was the first to die.”

The other three Dislord admins also nodded and agreed with Kuroneko. They didn’t care about losing the game, but being the first to lose was the main problem.

However, with JordanPlayz’s personality, they knew that his face was quite thick and wouldn’t care about their teasing and jeers. That guy would often be an airhead or a muscle-brain idiot which was shown when he started working out in the gym instead of searching the gym with Kenshi.

After wiping her mouth with a napkin, Ayame spoke, “Although we lost JordanPlayz, our team’s situation is still quite good especially when we had risked our lives to play against those special event NPCs.”

“We also obtain game items and authorities but even so, we can’t remain complacent. The luxury cruise ship is only the prologue of Cozy Vacation Life. As long as the players listened to that butler and didn’t go to challenge those special event NPCs, they can easily survive this storyline.”

“However, our decision to obtain game items and authorities will prove to be useful in Vacation Paradise Island. One of the main objectives is to discover the secret of Windesburg Hotel so there might be some conspiracy behind its establishment as well as its founder.”

“We might need to sacrifice the Dislord admins but even with that, we might still lose in this game session. However, our goal this time is not to win but to obtain as much information as we can.”

While Ayame was informing her team about their next course of action, the luxury cruise ship stopped moving and the staff of the luxury cruise ship escorted them out of the cruise ship.

In other words, they have finally arrived at Vacation Paradise Island!
