Chapter 133: Kayden’s Reliable Luck And Second Superpower
Having already discovered and recruited Illya Windesburg into their team, Kayden wasn’t in a hurry to explore the Windesburg Hotel.

Furthermore, their situation at the Windesburg Hotel was very awkward. They had already become hostile to the Windesburg Hotel and they even doubted that if they slept in their hotel room, they might be assassinated at night.

Because of that, Windesburg Hotel was a dangerous place especially when their team was split apart. Although Illya was powerful, they still needed her to eat the Eternal Beef of Satiation so that she would be in her peak state.

In regards to Kayden’s decision, Winston and Kuroneko didn’t disagree with it.

Group 2 only has three members left since GoldMiner had already been sacrificed. But with Illya’s addition, their group was restored to a four-member group.

However, they had to admit that Illya joining their team was very awkward since she joined by killing and replacing GoldMiner. Nonetheless, they still had to admit that Illya was important combat power for their group so they didn’t make a fuss about it.

After agreeing to Kayden’s decision, Group 2 left the kitchen room as Kayden led them out of Windesburg Hotel.

Much to their surprise, the Windesburg Hotel staff after seeing them had only ignored them. They didn’t attack them unlike before but from the looks in their eyes, the other Windesburg Hotel staff knew about the commotion they had caused before.

In other words, the Windesburg Hotel staff was aware that Kayden and his group knew about the secret ingredient of the hotel’s dishes which was human flesh.

But when the Windesburg Hotel staff saw Illya, they would look away and act as if Kayden and his group didn’t exist. So they likely had known about Illya’s true identity as well as the fact that Illya wiped out their fully armed personnel.

“Although the Windesburg Hotel staff didn’t show any hostility to us and they were quite neutral, we must not let down our guard. If not for Illya, they might have already chosen to attack us but since they feared Illya’s power, we are safe for now.”

“But to maintain Illya’s combat power, meeting Ayame is important since we need the Eternal Beef of Satiation.”

Hearing Kayden’s words, Winston agreed but he posed a question, “Do you know where to find and track Ayame and Group 1? Nevergreen Forest is covered in thick vegetation and we might get lost in there.”

In response to Winston’s question, Kayden asked Illya, “Can you eat those plants and trees?”

Illya nodded her head and replied, “I can. But they don’t taste good. They taste like plants and trees. I don’t like to eat greens.”

“Illya wants to eat meat.”

In response, Kayden looked at Winston and replied, “See? Even if we get lost, we can let Illya eat the entire forest so that we can escape from there.”

“Also, you underestimate my luck. After I have awakened my luck manipulation, my luck has become passively excellent even without using my luck manipulation to increase my luck.”

“As long as I have my shoes or a tree branch, I will never get lost since my luck will guide me to the right path.”

Knowing Kayden’s absurd luck, Winston and Kuroneko didn’t doubt it. After all, Kayden was someone who had won against the masked dealer via luck rather than gambling skills.

That alone showed how powerful Kayden’s luck was especially when got a royal flush in Texas hold’em poker.

With Kayden’s luck, tossing his shoes or tossing a branch might indeed point them in the right direction.

Having confidence in Kayden’s luck, Winston and Kuroneko no longer asked any questions and followed Kayden’s lead.

Kayden led Group 2 to the Nevergreen Forest and Illya was following Group 2 while enduring her insatiable hunger.

Soon enough, Kayden and his groupmates arrived at the entrance of the Nevergreen Forest.

Without any hesitation, Kayden took off one of his shoes and threw it high up.

When his shoes landed and the toebox of the shoes pointed north, Kayden picked up his shoe and again and threw it up.

He did this for three attempts and all of those three attempts end up with the same result.

Kayden pointed to his shoes and boasted, “See? I told you my luck is reliable.”

Seeing that they still have some time to waste, Kuroneko took Kayden’s shoe, “Let me be the judge of that.”

Tossing Kayden’s shoe upwards, Kuroneko did this with three attempts as well.

However, the results he got varied. The first attempt was south, the second was west, and the third was north.

In other words, Kuroneko didn’t have the same luck as Kayden and his action of throwing a shoe wasn’t anything special.

After all, when Kayden did his shoe throw, he even threw it very high yet no matter how much force he added to his throw, it would always end up north.

“Welp, I’m convinced. And now I’m curious. Do you get SSR in those gacha games?”

Hearing Kuroneko’s question, Kayden bragged, “If I don’t use my luck manipulation, I can still get the SSR that I want in just one draw but it’s not guaranteed that I’ll get all SSRs in every draw.”

“But if I use my luck manipulation, the ten consecutive draws must have all SSRs no matter what.”

Hearing Kayden’s bragging, Kuroneko couldn’t help but feel envious. The superpower that he had awakened in Zombie Survival Online wasn’t as exaggerated as Kayden’s.

After Kayden had already proven that his luck was reliable, they entered the Nevergreen Forest with Kayden leading them.

Since they had nothing to do but walk, Kuroneko asked Kayden to pass the time, “Then what’s the second superpower that you have awakened? I heard that you and Kenshi managed to complete Zombie Survival Online.”

In response, Kayden answered, “My second superpower is Psionics. It is the power to use mental or psychic-based powers. It has allowed me to become an all-rounder rather than focusing on support.”

“However, it’s a pity that I can’t use that here.”
