Chapter 144: Visiting The Phoenix Empire’s Royal Palace
Hearing Alice’s question, Weiss pondered for a while before he answered, “I might as well.”

“I have nothing urgent to do since Cozy Vacation Life has already been published. Furthermore, the Phoenix Emperor dared not do any funny business especially when he had known about the power I possessed. He wouldn’t dare to offend me and gamble with the lives of his subjects.”

“So at most, it’s likely he wants to know my stance towards the Phoenix Empire after that useless son of a former duke had offended us. His compensation is also sincere and he even admitted the mistakes of the former duke.”

Weiss added, “If things go well, I don’t mind accepting the Duke title since it will also give more convenience to my father. The Duke title doesn’t have any obligations so the Phoenix Emperor can’t force me to do anything I don’t want to do. Even if he does, I can just ignore his command since I won’t mind if he revokes the duke title.”

Hearing Weiss’ decision, Alice asked, “Then can I go with you?”

Weiss asked confusedly, “Aren’t you always with me? After all, you live in my soul. Or do you mean you want to go with me in your human form?”

Alice nodded, “Yes, I want to go with you in my human form. But I’ll be in invisible mode since I just want to be with you. I don’t want to stay in your home alone.”

Receiving Alice’s reply, Weiss agreed, “You can go with me without showing yourself to them. Although, I won’t mind even if you showed yourself so you have my permission in that regard.”

After Weiss decided to have an audience with the Phoenix Emperor, he used his reality manipulation to teleport himself and Alice outside his house.

Weiss didn’t bother to change his clothing since he was more comfortable with wearing his hoodie and undershirt. He didn’t like wearing those formal attire.

But even if he wasn’t wearing formal attire, he was still wearing expensive designer clothing so it wouldn’t be disrespecting the Emperor if he just wore casual civilian clothing.

After leaving his house, Weiss and Alice held each other’s hand and walked towards the Emperor’s royal palace.

Since they were in Phoenix City, then the emperor’s royal palace wasn’t that far from them.

After all, Phoenix City is the capital city of the Phoenix Kingdom. The Phoenix Empire consisted of many kingdoms but the Phoenix Emperor was the king of those kings.

As a whole, it was referred to as the Phoenix Empire. However, the Phoenix Emperor only focused on ruling over the Phoenix Kingdom while the rule of other kingdoms in the Phoenix Empire were assigned to the kings under him.

There wasn’t any possibility of rebellion since the kings under the Phoenix Emperor were mostly his relatives or trusted regents. Those princes and princes who lost in the succession to the imperial throne would still have a chance to succeed the ruling of the kingdoms under the Phoenix Empire.

The emperor’s royal palace was located in Phoenix City and it wasn’t that far from Weiss’ house. That’s also why Weiss and Alice encountered the son of Duke Tristan since the royal family lived in Phoenix City.

Soon enough, Weiss and Alice arrived at the gate of the royal palace which was heavily guarded.

Since Alice was in her invisible mode, only Weiss could see her and the other humans couldn’t.

When they arrived, the guards sized up Weiss’ appearance before commanding arrogantly, “State your identity and purpose of visit.”

Weiss frowned when he heard the arrogant tone and the condescending look of those guards.

Weiss wasn’t a pushover and he wouldn’t let someone below him act arrogantly and disrespect him. He wouldn’t mind talking or helping those below him. However, he wouldn’t allow it if they dared to disrespect him.

Alice seemed to have anticipated this and this was likely one of the main reasons why she tagged along with Weiss. Not only to accompany Weiss since she loved him but also because she wanted to entertain herself by watching the drama firsthand.

She had already started eating popcorn while eagerly watching the face-slapping that was about to start.

Looking at those guards who disrespected him, Weiss crossed his arms and responded to their disrespect with disrespect.

Gazing at them condescendingly as if he was watching a bunch of ants, Weiss increased the gravity around those guards which made them fall to their knees and kneel towards him.

The true definition of his reality manipulation was to do whatever he wanted as long as he had the energy to do so.

So even if he wanted to stop time or increase the gravity, it was all within Weiss’ capabilities.

Gazing at those weak guards who were kneeling towards him, Weiss sneered, “Even the Emperor dared not speak to me with such an arrogant tone. Even he dared not disrespect me, so what gave you the courage?”

“If you all are tired of living, I don’t mind ending it like what I did with the useless son of the former Duke Tristan.”

When the guards heard Weiss mention the son of the former Duke Tristan, the guards immediately recognized Weiss’ identity.

When Weiss was about to cripple the guards, someone yelled and interrupted his actions, “Don’t kill them! Our Phoenix Empire will compensate you!”

Weiss and Alice looked at the person who interrupted them and it was none other than an old man in his fifties wearing formal royal attire. The two of them recognized that fifty-year-old man as the Viceroy of the Phoenix Empire.

Phoenix Empire was the strongest powerhouse in Blue Star followed by the Freedom Eagle Federation and the Sakura Shogunate. The European World Alliance was below the Sakura Shogunate but still above the Dragon Empire.

When the Viceroy arrived, Weiss decided to give the Viceroy as well as the Emperor some face so he halted his actions.

The gravity that made the guards kneel was soon removed by Weiss much to the relief of the Viceroy.

The Viceroy knew about the existence of players. However, even they didn’t know how powerful Weiss was since they couldn’t estimate his strength or guess what superpower he had.

They thought that Weiss’ power was sword creation since he created a bunch of swords to threaten the son of the former duke. But they soon discarded that assumption when Weiss had snapped his fingers and erased the existence of the former duke’s son.

Even now, Weiss had used the power of gravity to force the royal guards to kneel to him which caused the Viceroy to be more confused.

However, no matter what Weiss’ power was, the Phoenix Emperor still knew that he couldn’t afford to offend Weiss. Even without Weiss’ power, the Phoenix Emperor was still wary of Weiss’ background so even if Weiss was powerless, the Phoenix Emperor wouldn’t pursue that matter and would only ask for compensation.
