Chapter 167: Entering The Hidden Treasury
Kayden and Ayame led the team to the underground room of Windesburg Hotel while Weiss and Alice silently followed them.

The hidden treasury where the Midas Authority was located was at the underground floor area.

While Weiss was following Kayden and Ayame’s team, he couldn’t help but comment, ‘I didn’t expect them to find the Hidden Treasury. It’s hidden quite well and very difficult to find.’

Alice talked to Weiss telepathically, ‘It’s probably due to Kayden’s luck that he encountered that opportunity. He seems to be the type of protagonist who would fall off from a cliff only to land on a stone platform and discover a hidden cave with the legacy left behind by a powerful cultivator.’

Weiss chuckled, ‘That’s oddly specific.’

Alice sighed, ‘If only you knew how much bullshit I had to experience especially when I was reincarnated to immortality cultivation worlds. It was all face-slap and young masters causing trouble everywhere and I was even called by them as a jade beauty.’

Weiss consoled her, ‘I can’t say that I understand and can relate to your experience, but all you need to know is that the two of us are together now. If you ever encounter a problem that you can’t solve, then don’t hesitate to ask me for help.’

‘If the two of us can’t solve it, then I have to admit it would give us a headache.’

When Weiss gave up on consoling her in his second message, Alice chuckled, ‘That’s not reassuring.’

Alice nodded at Weiss and she was glad that she accepted the offer of the Limitless Ruler.

While Weiss and Alice were chatting with each other, Kayden and Ayame soon stopped in their tracks as they and the team arrived at one of the hotel rooms.

Yes, they were currently within one of the hotel rooms but the difference was that this hotel room was unoccupied.

Kayden explained, “I had found it odd before that there are only ten players per server yet there are eleven hotel rooms in the Windesburg Hotel. And in all game sessions that we had, none of us were assigned to this hotel room.”

“After surveying this room in the previous game session, I discovered that this hotel room has a hidden mechanism that leads to the hidden treasury of the Windesburg Hotel.”

To prove his point, Kayden extended his hand toward the bottom of the bed located in the hotel room.

Afterward, Kayden placed his hand on one of the tiles under the hotel room’s bed. Applying force onto his hand, Kayden pressed the tile and it sunk slightly lower.

After the tile was pressed, the floor below the bed soon opened and revealed a stone staircase that led underground, revealing a secret passage.

As for why Kayden had explained it to them, not all of them had visited the hidden treasury of Windesburg Hotel. It was only GoldMiner and a few of them had visited the hidden treasury since the rest of them were assigned to hunt for food and explore Nevergreen Forest while the rest were exploring other parts of Windesburg Hotel.

Kuroneko couldn’t help but ask as he lifted the bed and moved it out of the way, “How did you even find this? The button to open the secret passage is literally hidden underneath the bed.”

Kuroneko was one of the team members who only heard of the hidden treasury but hadn’t visited it yet.

Although he was interested in the Midas Authority, Kuroneko still knew that it wasn’t as compatible with him when compared to GoldMiner.

Hearing Kuroneko’s question, Kayden scratched the back of his head in embarrassment, “I was holding a box of steel balls that I found from this hotel room. I accidentally slipped on the floor which caused the steel balls to fall from the box and they rolled over to the hidden mechanism under the bed.”

Winston commented, “That just goes to show how lucky you are. Although, I find it surprising that there are steel balls in this room.”

Shirohige looked at the table that had the box of steel balls and he examined the steel balls.

After taking two steel balls in his hand and fiddling with them as he rotated them on his palm without letting the two collide with each other, Shirohige discovered, “These are likely Baoding balls used for physical exercise and therapy.”

Shirohige played with the two steel balls in his hand while explaining it to them.

Kayden muttered, “Hmm… That’s good to know.”

He changed the subject, “Anyways, let’s visit the hidden treasury and obtain the Midas Authority as soon as possible.”

“We won’t stay that long in the hotel and will only spend one night here. So it’s best if we can obtain the Midas Authority as well as the game item stored within the hidden treasury.”

“Aside from gold and jewelry, the hidden treasury also has one game item that isn’t powerful but also isn’t weak either. It’s those items that have a use against specific targets.”

Afterward, Kayden walked towards the secret passage as he descended underground while walking down the stone staircase.

The rest of them followed suit and the same went for Weiss and Alice who joined in the fun.

While they were descending the stone staircase, there weren’t any light sources underground so GoldMiner had brought a lamp he had “borrowed” from the hotel.

Just in case one of them got destroyed or extinguished, they brought three lamps in total and each of them was held by the Dislord admins specifically GoldMiner, Kuroneko, and Shirohige.

ProGamerXD didn’t have to do anything since he was the leader of the Dislord admins while JordanPlayz was assigned to deal with combat.

After all, aside from Weiss who could use his Barrier Authority for offense, JordanPlayz was their other teammate who could use offense-type authority.

Illya wasn’t with them so only JordanPlayz and Weiss could contribute in combat. Kayden and Winston’s authorities were mostly for single targets while Ayame’s authority was more on her growth rather than offense.

A few minutes passed and they soon arrived in front of a metal door.

The metal door was locked and the only way to open it was by using a key.

“Damn! I forgot that Illya isn’t here. In the previous game session, Illya used her Gluttony Authority to devour the metal door.”

Kayden facepalmed at himself for getting about such an important thing.

He couldn’t let Illya follow them since Illya was busy building the boat for them.

Weiss suggested, “I can transform my barrier into a makeshift circular saw if you guys want me to.”

Hearing Weiss’ suggestion, Kayden sighed in relief, “I’ll have to trouble you, Weiss. I forgot that Illya wasn’t with us so only JordanPlayz and you can destroy the metal door.”

JordanPlayz shook his head, “I don’t think I can destroy the metal door. It looks durable and with my current control over my Water Authority, it’s still insufficient and not powerful enough to destroy it.”

“If I go all out, I can indeed destroy it. But that would flood the hidden treasury so there’s no point in using my Water Authority. Weiss’ Barrier Authority is much more convenient in this regard.”

Noticing that none of them disagreed, Weiss nodded as he stepped forward and stood in front of the metal door.
