Hearing Kayden’s desperation, Weiss nodded his head, “Okay then.”

Kayden gritted his teeth and clenched his fist in frustration, “We weren’t strong enough!”

In response to that, Weiss didn’t console Kayden but instead, he told him, “Although I can’t tell you the solution to your problem, I can still tell you that our team currently has the method to deal with the ugly sculpture without using the intended method to defeat it.”

“Aside from using my Barrier Authority to protect ourselves from the mental pollution, we have another method to deal with the ugly sculpture.”

Hearing Weiss’ vague hint, Kayden pondered for a while before he soon realized, “You mean, I should use my Gambling Authority’s Forced Gambling ability to send it to the gambling space?”

“That could work since my Forced Gambling Ability has vague restrictions when it comes to the requirements for using it on my opponents. I feel like even if I use it on an inanimate object who has no sentience, it might even work.”

“Unlike Kayden’s Forced Gambling ability that has a one-month cooldown duration, my balloon curse can be used once per day. Although, it might be inconvenient for us since we would need to wait for a day for the balloon curse to be permanently triggered.”

Hearing Kayden and Winston’s methods, Ayame commented, “Now that I think about it, we have quite a lot of methods to defeat the ugly sculpture other than using the Ghost Fire Sapphire.”

Kayden shrugged, “That’s the power of authorities. And I feel like if you can resist the mental pollution, you might be able to use your Gourmet Authority to eat the ugly sculpture. You might even become stronger that way and have increased resistance to mental pollution.”

Regarding Kayden’s speculation, Ayame shuddered in fear just thinking about it, “That’s too disgusting. Even the Nevergreen Treants might taste better than it and those Nevergreen Treants tasted like shit wood!”

In response to Kayden’s question, Weiss nodded, “Yes. As far as I know, even if you were to use your Forced Gambling ability now, it won’t affect your cooldown in the real world. In the game world as well, it will keep on resetting as long as you start a new game session.”

After receiving that confirmation from Weiss, Kayden replied to Ayame’s question, “I’ll use my Forced Gambling ability instead of Winston’s Balloon Curse.”

“As Winston has said, the balloon curse takes too much time to take effect. With how diligent and fast Illya is, it will only take her a day or a half to build the ship so using my Forced Gambling ability is much more convenient.”

Regarding Kayden’s decision, Ayame nodded and agreed to it.

After they all came to a decision, they soon left the hidden treasury and ascended to the surface.

When they arrived at the surface, they were met with the ugly sculpture as usual.

The ugly sculpture was gazing at them as if it were peering through the depths of their soul. Or, it was just existing to defile their eyes with such ugly visage.
