Chapter 171: Driving The Wooden Ship
The night had passed and it was currently daytime.

Weiss woke up from his bed and someone was sleeping beside him. That person was none other than Winston.

Due to the anomalous phenomenon of the Windesburg Hotel’s hotel rooms, Weiss paired up with Winston to sleep together.

As for Alice, she was sleeping above him, defying the laws of physics. Anyway, she had admin rights so she could do anything she wanted as long as it wasn’t against the system.

Although Weiss could reason out that he didn’t need any roommate, it would still cause inconvenience for his team since the appearance of Illya had added another number to their team.

If Weiss didn’t pair up with any of them, then their team would have one person having to stay in a hotel room with a kidnapped hotel staff.

Even Weiss didn’t want to stay with any of the hotel staff since they were dangerous in their own right. And that’s coming from him who developed them so that alone spoke volumes of how dangerous they were.

After Weiss woke up, he left the hotel room with Alice only after waking up Winston.

After leaving the hotel room, Weiss headed to the ocean and checked up on the boat that Illya had built.

“Everything is working well. I had thought of designing a monster or evil spirit that would destroy both unfinished boats and finished boats during the night but that would be overkill.”

Weiss commented after surveying the boat built by Illya.

Illya’s boat was already completed. And as they had intended it to be, the wooden boat was nothing but an apartment modified to float in the water and withstand ocean waves.

There wasn’t any ship sail or any engines. It would only be drivable via his Barrier Authority or JordanPlayz’s Water Authority.

However, it was also possible to be driven by Illya’s Gluttony Authority if she turned into her true form and pulled the boat to their destination.

The same goes if Kayden used his Gambling Authority’s Forced Gambling on a whale and let it carry the wooden boat to their destination. However, this option was no longer available since Kayden already used his Forced Gambling on that ugly sculpture.

“Those players might curse you and your entire family generations if you included that boat-eating monster.”

Hearing Alice’s comment, Weiss chuckled, “With how simple the minds of those netizens are, they would. I even saw some of them complaining about the monsters that scared the living daylights out of them.”

While Weiss and Alice were chatting with each other, Weiss was also fishing at the same time.

Weiss didn’t have to worry about stocking up on food since he and the team had already done that yesterday.

Furthermore, Weiss knew that the ocean wasn’t as dangerous as the sea around Vacation Paradise Island. The ocean was just a normal ocean as long as it was out of the vicinity of Vacation Paradise Island.

Because of that, they could easily fish for seafood during their voyage toward the supercontinent.

As for cooking the seafood, Weiss could just create a separate platform using his Barrier Authority and create a bonfire there. That was how convenient his Barrier Authority was.

While Weiss was fishing and already had grilled fish for breakfast, Ayame and her team soon left the Windesburg Hotel and checked up on the boat.

“Morning, brother.”

Hearing Ayame’s greeting, Weiss nodded, “Morning, Ayame.”

Ayame and her team used the food they stocked up last night and cooked breakfast. Afterward, they examined the boat while Illya added finishing touches to it.

Ayame and her team didn’t bother to explore Mt. Hooroo or the Metal Shrieking Forest since they knew how dangerous it was.

Furthermore, even with Weiss’ Game Over Retry Authority, they felt it was inconvenient and would take their time since they had already obtained the Special West Compass and could complete the first main objective anytime they wanted.

And soon enough, Illya had already ensured that the wooden boat was in good condition.

Illya spoke, “The only problem left is the furniture and bed.”

“I can create it from scratch using leaves and wood, but it wouldn’t be that comfortable.”

Hearing the problem posed by Illya, Kayden pondered for a while as he asked Weiss, “Can we steal the furniture and bed in Windesburg Hotel?”

Weiss replied, “The furniture and bed in Windesburg Hotel don’t have any anomalous properties aside from a few exceptions. Just steal some of them and you can let me inspect them.”

With Weiss’ guarantee, Ayame, Kayden, and the rest of the team heaved a sigh of relief. They were glad that Weiss had joined them or else their game session wouldn’t be as convenient as it was now.

All of them including Weiss returned to Windesburg Hotel to steal furniture, beds, and other items in Windesburg Hotel.

Weiss and Illya were mostly the ones doing the job for that since Illya stored them in her stomach dimension while Weiss stored and lifted all of them in an invisible box barrier.

After several minutes had passed, they all left Windesburg Hotel and returned to the wooden ship.

Their actions of blatantly stealing furniture and items from Windesburg Hotel had attracted the attention of the hotel staff. The security even attacked and attempted to kill them but they were easily eliminated by JordanPlayz and Kenshi.

Weiss didn’t even have to intervene since Ayame’s team was already powerful enough to solo the security team of Windesburg Hotel as long as it wasn’t those few exceptions that brought anomalous properties to those hotel staff.

But with him there, Weiss wouldn’t allow it and do his best to prevent them from triggering those since it would be a waste of time. Weiss wanted them to secure the authorities as soon as possible since he didn’t know when the next otherworld invasion would occur.

Although, if something did happen, Weiss was powerful enough to protect Blue Star from most threats. But Weiss didn’t want the blue starlings to rely too much on him.

To ensure the safety of Ayame and her team, Weiss wanted them to bring the authorities to the real world so that it could increase their team’s combat power.

“Here’s the furniture and items I stole from the hotel. You guys take care of the rest.”

Weiss deactivated the invisible box barrier and placed all of the furniture and items on the wooden ship. He let Kayden and the rest of them deal with the arrangements of the furniture.

The same went for Illya as she took out the furniture and items from her stomach dimension.

“Don’t worry, leave this to us!”

Kayden assured Weiss as he immediately got to work in arranging them.

Not only did they steal furniture, but they also stole some items that could relieve their boredom such as board games or gym equipment.

After a quarter of an hour had passed, Kayden and the others had already added the finishing touches to the wooden ship.

“Weiss, it’s done! We already prepared your room for you!”

Hearing Kayden’s announcement, Weiss nodded his head and thanked Kayden.

Ayame, Kayden, and the rest of the team were already on the wooden ship.

Only Weiss was still on the beach so he headed to the wooden ship by walking in the air using barrier platforms. Alice followed beside him as she flew using her angel wings.

Seeing that all of them were on the wooden ship, Ayame signaled at JordanPlayz, “Do it.”

Receiving Ayame’s signal, JordanPlayz used his Water Authority.

The wooden ship was still on land so he used the sea water to slide the wooden ship towards the sea.

When the wooden ship entered the sea, it floated and didn’t sink which proved Illya’s ship-building skills.

However, it could only float in the sea and couldn’t be driven. There wasn’t even any ship wheel or helm on their wooden ship.

Nevertheless, they weren’t worried about that since that problem was something Weiss and JordanPlayz had to deal with.

Weiss walked towards JordanPlayz and patted his shoulder, “I’ll leave the rest to you. Just inform me if you need me to switch with you in driving the ship.”

JordanPlayz nodded his head and started using his Water Authority.

Using his Water Authority, JordanPlayz controlled the waves in the sea and used it to carry the wooden ship toward where the magnetic needle of the Special West Compass was pointing!
