Chapter 180: Weiss Chats With The Phoenix Emperor
After Weiss set up rules on Paradise Island and created an island spirit that would uphold those rules, Weiss looked at the thirteen innocent people who were wrongly convicted for crimes they didn’t commit.

“I know the thirteen of you are innocent. I’m Duke Weiss from the Phoenix Empire and the Phoenix Emperor had requested me to quell the chaos at Prison Island.”

“This isn’t included in his requests but I’ll do you guys a favor and inform the Phoenix Emperor about your innocence.”

When they heard Weiss’ rank as a Duke, the thirteen innocent people were surprised.

But when they further learned that Weiss bringing them out wasn’t part of the Phoenix Emperor’s request, the thirteen innocent people could no longer control themselves as they immediately knelt towards Weiss with their heads lowered to him.

“Thank you, Duke Weiss! I still have a family and it has been worrying me whether they could live without me.”

One of them cried out their heart and couldn’t control their emotions. After all, the time they were convicted into Prison Island, they didn’t have much hope of getting out of prison.

So those thirteen innocent people didn’t expect that Weiss would go as far as to get them out of prison. After all, Weiss wasn’t tasked by the Phoenix Emperor to do that.

In response to their thanks, Weiss nodded his head nonchalantly, “No need to thank me. It didn’t take me any effort to discover about your innocence so it wasn’t that troublesome on my side.”

“Furthermore, to those who have a family, you don’t have to worry since after I prove your innocence, the top nations you came from will give you financial compensation and it’s enough to let you live without work for a lifetime.”

“But for now, I’ll transfer you all to the Phoenix Empire. The Phoenix Emperor will deal with the rest.”

After Weiss informed them about that, he used his power to teleport them to the Phoenix Emperor’s royal palace.

When they arrived at the throne room of the Phoenix Emperor, the Phoenix Emperor was surprised to see Weiss with other people.

Seeing Weiss with thirteen other people, the Phoenix Emperor commented, “That’s fast. You did better than I expected. I had already prepared if you didn’t treat my task to you seriously.”

“And I presume those thirteen are wrongly convicted world criminals?”

The Phoenix Emperor could guess correctly since he wasn’t dumb. After all, Weiss came from Prison Island so any people he brings with him are either the guards, wardens, or those world criminals.

And besides, those world criminals were wearing prison attire so the Phoenix Emperor could easily guess their identity.

Weiss nodded his head, “When I do my chores, I do it seriously. It’s either I don’t do my chores and let others do it in my stead, or I do it well.”

“As for these thirteen people, they are indeed wrongly convicted world criminals. Three of them are from the Phoenix Empire while the rest are from other top nations.”

Weiss asked for clarification, “I trust that you will deal with the aftermath after this? I don’t have the time to deal with these thirteen people.”

The Phoenix Emperor nodded his head, “Yes, I’ll deal with the aftermath. You can leave it to me.”

Since the Phoenix Emperor said that himself, Weiss didn’t have to deal with those troubles since that was the job of the Phoenix Emperor.

Before leaving the throne room, Weiss decided to ask, “Do you have any other chores for me to do? I might as well do it now since I’m already out. After this, I won’t be free anymore.”

In response, the Phoenix Emperor shook his head. “I don’t have any other chores for you. As much as possible, I don’t want to cause you any inconvenience. This time was only an exception since all the beta testers were occupied with dealing with the dimensional gates and otherworld invaders.”

“Because of that, we were short on manpower so we couldn’t send someone to deal with the chaos at Prison Island.”

“Tuu alone can deal with the otherworld invasion in Phoenix Empire so I don’t have to trouble you in interfering with that.”

Hearing the Phoenix Emperor mention Tuu, Weiss decided to ask, “What do you think about Tuu?”

Receiving Weiss’ inquiry, the Phoenix Emperor pondered for a while before answering, “Tuu is a good young man albeit secretive. At first, I thought he was my illegitimate child but I remembered that I never slept with anyone other than my wife. He looked like someone from the imperial family but I checked the family tree and he had no relations with the Phoenix Family.”

“Upon further investigation, we discovered that his appearance was probably due to a mutation caused by his superpower from Zombie Survival Online and authority from Cozy Vacation Life.”

“From the background check that my subordinates had done, Tuu’s previous appearance was way different than his current one.”

“As for Tuu’s personality, he seems to be a good young man and even now, he is dealing with the dimensional gates and otherworld invaders so I don’t have anything to complain about him.”

The Phoenix Emperor added, “As for the rest of the beta testers, I haven’t met any of them other than you and Tuu. But from what I heard from the leaders of those top nations, they had good comments about those beta testers.”

After hearing the Phoenix Emperor’s thoughts about Tuu and the beta testers, Weiss nodded in satisfaction, “That’s true. None of the beta testers are evil since if they were, I had already eliminated them before they would become a threat to Blue Star.”

“I can’t allow any internal threats since the external threats alone are enough to give us a world-ending threat.”

The Phoenix Emperor sighed in relief after hearing Weiss’ words, “Hearing you say that is reassuring. The least I can do is manage and oversee the Player Association so that none of the players would become traitors to the human race. And even if they did, I’ll ask other players to eliminate them.”

Weiss wasn’t surprised by the Phoenix Emperor’s decisiveness and ruthlessness. After all, that’s the reason why the Phoenix Empire was the strongest among other top nations.

Because of that, Kayden used telekinesis to fly in the sky and arrive at the location of the dimensional gate in time.

“These blue slimes seemed to be more troublesome to deal with than those goblins.”

Kayden commented after seeing the blue slimes being released by the dimensional gate.

When he fought against those goblins, it only took Kayden’s time and energy but those goblins weren’t a threat to him. After all, even if those goblins hit him with their wooden club, it wouldn’t hurt Kayden’s body since he was an S-rank Awakener.

As for those slimes, it would pose a threat to him if he was devoured by those blue slimes.
