Chapter 219: Kenshi Inherited The Sword Authority
As the duel progressed, their elemental styles clashed spectacularly.
“Wind Blade!”
Kenshi’s blade danced through the air, each strike accompanied by a burst of wind that either deflected the master swordsman’s fiery assaults or created openings for counterattacks.
“Swift Wind Step!”
He used the wind to increase his speed, dashing around his opponent with incredible agility, and executing quick slashes and thrusts aimed at the master’s vital points.
The master swordsman, undeterred, met Kenshi’s wind with flames of his own, “Fire Sword Blast!”
With a powerful thrust, he unleashed a jet of fire that forced Kenshi to leap back, the heat singeing his clothes.
The master swordsman followed up with a series of swift, fiery strikes, each one creating small explosions of flame upon contact, “Consecutive Explosive Blades!”
His movements were deliberate and forceful, each strike intended to overwhelm Kenshi’s defenses with sheer power.
Their blades met in a furious exchange, the sound of steel ringing through the air. Kenshi parried a downward slash with a quick flick of his wrist, redirecting the fiery blade to the side.
“Sword Whirlwind!”
He countered with a spinning slash, generating a whirlwind that knocked the master swordsman off balance.
Seizing the moment, Kenshi lunged forward, aiming a thrust at his opponent’s chest.
The master swordsman recovered swiftly, twisting his body to avoid the lethal thrust and responding with a horizontal slash engulfed in flames, “Horizontal Fire Blade!”
Kenshi barely managed to deflect the attack, feeling the heat singe his arm.
He retaliated with a flurry of rapid, wind-enhanced strikes, each one pushing the master swordsman back.
“Tempest Sword Barrier!”
The wind howled with each swing of Kenshi’s blade, creating a tempestuous barrier around him.
The master swordsman, realizing he needed to break through Kenshi’s wind defenses, summoned a blazing inferno around his sword.
“Great Inferno Sword!”
With a mighty roar, he slashed through the air, sending a wave of fire towards Kenshi.
“Wind Sword Vortex!”
Kenshi countered by spinning his blade in a circular motion, creating a vortex of wind that extinguished the flames and sent the embers scattering harmlessly.
Kenshi looked at the master swordsman with solemn eyes, ‘This is a lot harder than I expected. Unlike the previous masked swordsmen, the master swordsman seemed to have full sentience and his swordsmanship was even powerful enough to reach the level of harnessing the elements in the surroundings into his swordsmanship.’
‘If it was before I made a breakthrough in my wind-style swordsmanship, I would have already lost. Fortunately, my breakthrough in my sword battle against Number 99 had proven to be an advantage against my battle with the master swordsman.’
‘Nevertheless, I can’t remain complacent. At least for now, the master swordsman and I are almost equal in our swordsmanship. It will take a lot of time before the winner can be decided.’
‘But even if it takes several days, I’ll persevere and defeat the master swordsman!’
With that thought in mind, Kenshi no longer fled from the master swordsman but took the initiative to continue his attacks!
…
A month has passed since Kenshi and the master swordsman fought against each other.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
After a month of a long and protracted sword battle, their duel reached its peak as both warriors, exhausted and bloodied, prepared for a final exchange.
Kenshi, using the last of his strength, channeled the wind into his blade, creating a razor-sharp edge, “Ultimate Wind Blade!”
He dashed forward with incredible speed, aiming a decisive strike at the master swordsman.
The master swordsman, equally determined, enveloped his blade in a searing blaze and met Kenshi head-on, “Final Flame Sword!”
Their swords clashed in a brilliant explosion of wind and fire.
For a moment, time seemed to stand still as the elements collided in a dazzling display of skill and power.
Then, in a blink, Kenshi found an opening.
With a swift, fluid motion, he twisted his blade, redirecting the master swordsman’s fiery strike and thrusting his sword into his opponent’s chest, directly to his heart.
“Gaah!”
The master swordsman coughed out blood and staggered back, his sword falling from his grasp.
Kenshi’s sword had penetrated his heart and passed through the other side of his body. As if that wasn’t enough, Kenshi ruthlessly pulled out his steel sword and decapitated the master swordsman.
His greatest respect to the master swordsman was to kill him in a sword battle. Letting him die due to blood loss was unacceptable.
“Finally, I won!”
Kenshi, panting and wounded, stood victorious.
He had triumphed through a combination of elemental mastery, strategic precision, and sheer willpower.
The battle had been fierce and relentless, but in the end, Kenshi’s wind-style swordsmanship prevailed against the master swordsman’s flames.
Both he and the master swordsman were equal in power and stamina. The only difference was their mindset, willpower, and swordsmanship.
In other words, Kenshi’s victory had proven that he was far superior in mindset, willpower, and swordsmanship when compared to the master swordsman.
His sword battle with the master swordsman that resulted in his victory was more than enough to prove that he was the strongest swordsman in Blue Star.
Several seconds after he won, the corpse of the master swordsman disappeared along with traces of blood. All that was left was the desolate circular coliseum of the Sword Battle Arena.
Aside from Kenshi, there was no other person in here and all he could hear was his breathing as well as the slight gust of wind.
Soon enough, Kenshi heard a game notification sound in his mind.
-Ding!
[The Master Swordsman has been defeated!]
[The challenge for the Sword Authority has been completed!]
-Ding!
[Do you want to obtain the Sword Authority?]
[Yes] | [No]
Faced with those two options, Kenshi didn’t hesitate to tap the [Yes] button.
-Ding!
[The Sword Authority has been inherited by Player Kodokuna Kenshi!]
After Kenshi acquired the Sword Authority, he seemed to feel as if a sword appeared inside his soul.
The sword didn’t have any definite form and its form depended on what type and kind of sword that Kenshi needed.
So if he needed a fire sword to burn down a wooden enemy, then the Sword Authority would grant him a fire sword.
“With this, I don’t have to worry about the lack of swords. Even if my opponent disarms me, I can still retrieve it and summon a new one!”
