Chapter 249: Winston Uses The Mirror Dimension
Hearing Kayden’s announcement, none of them disagreed since it was already quite late in the night.
They didn’t know how dangerous Windesburg Hotel was at night but the spectral activities at Windesburg Hotel were already several times higher than before. In other words, just walking in the hallways, there was a moderate chance of encountering an evil spirit.
According to Kuroneko’s words, it was due to uncovering the forbidden areas that released the dark miasma from those forbidden areas into the hotel, causing the dark miasma at the hotel to thicken and form evil spirits.
Winston spoke up, “Before we return to our hotel rooms, can we loot Maverick’s private study first? Kenshi, Kayden, and I couldn’t get all of the items there since some of them couldn’t be stored in the player inventory for some reason.”
“There were journals of Maverick’s dark experiments there as well as scrolls that contained dark magic and black magic.”
Hearing Winston mention those scrolls, Kuroneko’s eyes lit up in excitement, “Those scrolls should be a one-time use scroll that contained dark magic or black magic.”
“For example, my Dark Magic: Shadow Tentacles can be inscribed on a magic scroll. When it’s inscribed there, even normal people can use the Dark Magic: Shadow Tentacles spell just by tearing the magic scroll and imposing their will upon it.”
“I don’t know if some of Maverick’s magic scrolls contained powerful magic spells but even if they don’t, it’s still useful when used by our teammates who can’t use dark magic, especially in a situation when they run out of energy and have to use the magic scrolls which doesn’t require any energy consumption.”
Ayame nodded, understanding the strategic advantage. “Alright, let’s head back and get everything we can.”
They all agreed to return to Maverick’s private study.
Together, they stepped into the massive mirror, re-entering the Mirror Maze.
The maze, now calm and no longer chaotic due to their previous challenges, reflected a serene atmosphere. They navigated through the maze with ease, thanks to their earlier efforts.
Upon reaching the hidden passage, they proceeded to Maverick’s private study. The room was just as they had left it, filled with ancient books, scrolls, and artifacts.
Winston stepped forward, holding the Reflection Mirror. “I’ll use the Mirror Authority to store everything in the mirror dimension,” he said.
The Reflection Mirror glowed softly as he activated his Mirror Authority. The surface of the mirror shimmered, creating a portal to the mirror dimension.
Normally, Winston couldn’t create a mirror dimension. However, the Reflection Mirror allowed him to have access to it despite his lack of control and progress in using the Mirror Authority.
One by one, Winston carefully stored all the magic scrolls, journals, and other items from Maverick’s private study into the mirror dimension. The mirror dimension acted as a vast storage space, ensuring nothing was left behind.
Kuroneko watched in awe as the scrolls and journals disappeared into the mirror. “This is incredible. With these, we’ll have a significant advantage.”
Winston nodded, satisfied with their haul. “That should be everything. Let’s head back.”
They retraced their steps through the hidden passage, emerging into the room containing the massive mirror. The atmosphere was lighter, their mission successful, and their spirits high.
They knew the items they had collected would be invaluable in their fight against Maverick Windesburg. They already decided to read Maverick’s journals when they had time.
As they stood before the massive mirror, ready to return to the main part of the hotel, Ayame turned to her teammates. “We’ve done well. Let’s head back to the hotel room.”
With determination and resolve, they left the room containing the massive mirror, heading to the hallways of Windesburg Hotel.
…
As they walked through the hallways, they encountered a high-ranking spirit, its malevolent presence filling the air with a chilling aura.
The spirit glowed with an eerie light, its eyes burning with an intense hatred.
Kuroneko just yawned, showing no concern. He casually forwarded his hand towards the spirit, summoning his grimoire beside him.
The dark book opened, pages flipping rapidly as dark energy crackled around him.
“Dark Magic: Banishment,” he intoned, his voice echoing with authority.
Tendrils of shadow erupted from his grimoire, wrapping around the high-ranking spirit.

The spirit struggled, its form flickering as the shadows tightened their grip.
With a final, desperate wail, the spirit was pulled into the shadow realm, disappearing into the dark void.
The hallway fell silent once more, the oppressive atmosphere lifting.
Kuroneko closed his grimoire with a snap, his expression bored. “Let’s keep moving,” he said, leading the way as if nothing had happened.
Several minutes after that, they had encountered four more spirits and they were easily banished by Kuroneko into the shadow realm.
Eventually, they arrived at the hallway which led to the hotel rooms.
Standing in front of her hotel room door, Ayame declared, “As usual, our sleeping arrangement will be the same as usual.”
“I’ll pair up with Bianca, Kayden will pair up with Illya, and Weiss will pair up with Winston. Kenshi and the rest of the Dislord admins can decide who they will pair up with.”
Hearing Ayame’s words, ProGamerXD paired up with JordanPlayz while GoldMiner paired up with Kenshi.
On the other hand, Kuroneko and Shirohige decided to be roommates with each other.
They really didn’t care much about the roommate pairings since Kenshi and the Dislord admins had a good relationship with each other.
After they decided on their roommates, they headed to their hotel rooms with their roommates.
Due to the anomalous phenomenon of the Windesburg Hotel’s hotel rooms, they needed to have an even number of people sleeping inside the hotel rooms, or else if it was an odd number, the inhabitants of that hotel room would die.
Kayden had learned that the hard way when in their gaming session, only he and Illya were alive since Illya had insisted on sleeping with him on the same bed.
If not for that, they wouldn’t have discovered that such an anomalous phenomenon had existed.
After they arranged their hotel roommates, Weiss entered his hotel room with a twelve-year-old boy Winston.
