Hearing Ayame’s question, Kayden was confused as hell. Even an imaginary question mark was about to pop up above his head as he looked at Ayame and asked, “Why you ask?”

“I didn’t do anything in my dream. Or more like, I don’t even remember my dream to begin with. It’s like I just slept on my bed and time had skipped. It’s just the usual without anything of the unordinary.”

Noticing that Kayden really didn’t know anything, Ayame sighed, “From what the live stream viewers had mentioned, you and Illya were sleeping together while the Eater of Dreams were slithering in the hallways.”

“In fact, the Eater of Dreams attacked you earlier than the rest of us. However, a blue crystal appeared out of nowhere and shone a bright blue light towards the Eater of Dreams when it tried to invade your and Illya’s dreamscape.”

“The Eater of Dreams seemed to be vulnerable to the bright blue light generated by the blue crystal so it could only screech at you and Illya and leave your hotel room.”

When Ayame mentioned the bright blue crystal, Kayden realized what it was as he took out the Clarity Crystal from his player inventory and asked, “Do you mean this?”

Seeing the crystal and reading the confirmations of the live stream viewers, Ayame nodded, “Yes, that’s it.”

Knowing that the clarity crystal had protected Illya and him, Kayden muttered, “I didn’t expect that the Clarity Crystal has such a function. But although it’s surprising, it’s also not at the same time.”

“After all, the Clarity Crystal grants mental clarity and focus. Having nightmares might break clarity and focus so it protected Illya and me from the Eater of Dream’s dream invasion.”

Noticing Kayden’s clarity crystal, Ayame then told her viewers, “If you all want to T-pose and dominate the Eater of Dreams and scare it shitless, just have the Clarity Crystal.”

Hearing Ayame’s words, Weiss interjected, “Or, just have a barrier or defense-type authority like my Barrier Authority. Like Kayden and Illya, I didn’t experience any nightmares despite the Eater of Dreams attacking my hotel room first.”

“When the Eater of Dreams attempted to invade my hotel room, it couldn’t even enter my hotel room as it collided with the barriers I set up before I slept. The same went for the Odds And Evens Death phenomenon as it also couldn’t affect me since it bounced off my barrier.”

Listening to Weiss’ words, Ayame and the rest of the team including Kayden sighed. That was the difference between top players like them and a beta tester like Weiss.

Even if they could play well and were in the top percentile, it was impossible for them to be a know-it-all in Aspro’s games, unlike beta testers like Weiss.

And compared to other beta testers who were secretive and were rarely in the spotlight unless it was an otherworld invasion, Weiss was much more approachable and the public knew most about the beta testers due to Weiss’ explanations during the live stream.

The ocean at Vacation Paradise Island was a breathtaking sight, with crystal-clear waters that shimmered under the golden sunlight.

Gentle waves lapped against the pristine white sandy shores, creating a soothing melody. The sky above was a brilliant blue, dotted with fluffy white clouds that drifted lazily.

Palm trees swayed gracefully in the breeze, and vibrant tropical flowers bloomed along the coastline, adding splashes of color to the serene landscape.

However, this picturesque scene sharply contrasted with the island’s dark secrets and anomalies. Beneath the surface of this paradise, the remnants of Maverick Windesburg’s sinister activities lingered, casting an eerie shadow over the island’s beauty.

Despite the tranquil appearance, the team knew the island held many more hidden dangers and mysteries yet to be uncovered.

Seeing such a breathtaking scene, Kayden sighed, “If only Cozy Vacation Life was indeed a cozy vacation life and not some horror and mystery game where we’d have to defeat a psychopathic millennium-year-old man.”

Hearing Kayden badmouth her grandfather, Illya joined in as well, “That old fossil has gone way too far. He even sacrificed some of the members of my family from his dark experiments and even I was subjected to it.”

“Fortunately, my Gluttony Authority allowed me to become physically immortal but even then, I still doubt whether it’s a blessing or a curse. After all, if I have died, then I wouldn’t have to remember the pain and suffering I went through.”

In response to Illya’s words, Kayden patted her head and grinned, “Don’t worry, your immortality is a blessing. Normally, dying could indeed liberate you from the pain and suffering in this world. But that’s only if you aren’t up against that psychopathic old man.”

“If you died, he might still inflict torture on your soul and you don’t want that to happen. After all, our souls are more vulnerable than our bodies, unless we have some ability regarding the soul.”

While Kayden and Illya were speaking ill of Maverick Windesburg, the team already arrived at the ocean and they already started assigning each other their tasks.

Most of them were in cooking and preparation duties since the fishing was assigned to JordanPlayz. They had already decided to deal with their food problems by themselves instead of relying on Windesburg Hotel since they didn’t want to eat human meat.
