Chapter 266: Ayame’s Love For Weiss
It would be a lie if Ayame loved Weiss with only sibling love and treated him as just a family member. It was far more than that.

Not just familial love, but the love between man and woman.

However, reality was disappointing.

As Weiss’ sister, Ayame was confident in her looks and she was even slightly more beautiful than the Phoenix Imperial Princess.

But these very genes that made her look astounding were both a blessing and a curse. Blessing in the sense that she was very beautiful, but it was a curse since she became related with blood to her brother Weiss.

Even if she had thoughts that she shouldn’t have towards Weiss, Ayame couldn’t take that step since it was a point of no return.

Like Weiss, Ayame had both a high IQ and a high EQ. And because of that, not only did Weiss notice that she had thoughts about him, but the same went for Ayame seeing through Weiss’ thoughts about her.

However, Weiss didn’t reciprocate Ayame’s love, which was an answer to her indirect confession.

‘If brother had accepted, I wouldn’t mind if the two of us became together even if the two of us are brother and sister.’

‘But, brother doesn’t see me as a woman and only sees me as his dear sister. I don’t want to disgust him and do things that are against his principles or else that would destroy the only familial relationship I have with him.’

Ayame had enjoyed her time with Weiss when the two of them were living together.

In fact, she even had the delusions that they were living the life of a married couple.

On one hand, Ayame loved Weiss like how a woman would love a man, but she also loved Weiss like how a sister would love her brother.

Not wanting to change the status quo, Ayame didn’t go too far and she chose the right decision.

As for Weiss, he had long known about Ayame’s feelings. She might have hidden it very well and he also decided to feign ignorance, but it still couldn’t escape his eyes.

But unlike Ayame, Weiss didn’t love Ayame like that of a lover. He only treated her as his younger sister and nothing more than that.

Soon enough, a little girl appeared and it was none other than Emily—the one who caused Weiss to reveal his Game Over Retry Authority in public.

Seeing Emily, Weiss informed Ayame and her team, “To be honest, you can all decide to kill her. She isn’t that strong since although she can force others into a death game, it’s only one person per death game so she isn’t powerful when it comes to group battle.”

“At least, we can sacrifice the life of one of the Dislord admins in order to defeat Emily via brute force. But such sacrifice isn’t cost efficient considering that the lives of the Dislord admins are more valuable now that they have authorities.”

“And besides, it would be a loss if we kill Emily. As long as you can defeat Emily in her death game of rock paper scissors, the winner will be granted the Rock Paper Scissors Authority which basically works the same as Emily’s anomalous ability with no differences.”

Hearing Weiss’ explanation, Kayden nodded, “Then I’ll rely on my luck on this game. I’m also interested in the Rock Paper Scissors Authority since it can be an offensive version of my Gambling Authority.”

“The most annoying part about my Gambling Authority is that it has too many restrictions on its usage. But with the Rock Paper Scissors Authority, I can finally have some means of offense.”
