Chapter 48: Alternate Accounts Of Beta Testers
Although there were only several tiers and types revealed to Weiss by the system, Weiss knew how huge the gap was in each tier.
For example, the minimum threshold for becoming a Great Sage was the power, durability, and speed of a solar system. On the other hand, for Weiss to become a High Human which was above Warlord (his current power level), he would have to possess the power, durability, and speed of a planet.
In other words, he would have to be fast enough to traverse a planet in an instant, a power destructive enough to destroy a planet, and durability resilient enough to withstand the attack of other High Humans.
“Sigh, even reaching SSS-rank would only allow me to destroy an island so I’d still be a Warlord. I would have to create a new game if I wanted to become a High Human but that’s assuming the game I’d develop next is focused on improving power and not versatility.”
“Anyway, I still have enough time to create games that can reach the peak of Type 5. Even if that’s not possible, there should at least be a Sage on Earth before the otherworld invasion starts.”
After calculating a rough estimate of his progress before the otherworld invasion starts, Weiss checked up on the other features of the Player Hunter Application.
When he checked on the Task Board and the Hunter Shop, there wasn’t much to see since they were currently empty.
After checking all the features of the Player Hunter Application and successfully testing that all features were working properly, Weiss left the White Room and returned to the dark space in the Player Hunter Application.
The White Room was the living space of the Player Hunters. The greater the hunter rank, the more luxurious the white room would become.
If possible, Weiss planned to make the White Room reach the size of a planet in the future so that those Player Hunters would stay loyal to him due to the benefits bestowed by him.
Even if they didn’t, Weiss didn’t care much since no players nor even the player hunters could surpass his strength. Even if the beta testers he lied about to Ayame had existed, they couldn’t surpass him.
Leaving the dark void filled with white rooms inside the Player Hunter Orb, Weiss returned to the dark void of the Workshop.
However, Weiss didn’t delete his Player Hunter account. He planned to use it in the future if ever he would need the identity of a player hunter to complete some tasks.
After all, even normal players could become a player hunter, let alone a “beta tester” such as himself.
When he thought of the “beta testers”, an idea came into mind!
“Wait, since the beta testers didn’t exist and it’s just a lie I made up to Ayame, why can’t I become all the beta testers?”
Pondering more over his plan, Weiss mumbled, “I can create multiple alts and use them as my vests like how a god in mythology would have different identities. It would be too inconvenient to use my identity as Weiss to intervene in the otherworld invasions.”
“If I create another identity for myself, I can create so-called top powerhouses of Blue Star who are rumored to be the beta testers of Aspro’s games. As for being discovered by Ayame…”
Thinking about that possibility, Weiss sneered, “Heh, even if she is my sister, she can’t see through my acting. She hasn’t even discovered that I was the one controlling Winston before.”
After having that decision in mind, Weiss used his authority as a game developer to create 9 more alt accounts in the Player Hunter Application.
Because of that, Weiss currently owned the Hunter #01 to Hunter #10 accounts in the Player Hunter Application. If he ever invited a player to become a player hunter, they would have to start at Hunter #11, thereby proving the existence of beta testers.
When Weiss was thinking of such a scene, he couldn’t help but jest, “You thought it was a beta tester but it was me, Aspro!”
“Jokes aside, no one should know about my identity as the Game Developer Aspro. It’s not that those mere blue starlings could ever threaten me, but the same couldn’t be said for those otherworlders.”
Thinking about those otherworlders, Weiss felt threatened by those existences above Type 5.
Even the peak of Type 5 could destroy a solar system, let alone those above Type 5. Even if he had a million Dev points at hand, Weiss couldn’t reach Type 4 due to the lack of powerful game items to purchase.
From that alone, Dev points weren’t as important as the limit of his games. So rather than making games to earn Dev points, it would rather be making games to increase the upper limit of his Game Item Shop.
But for now, Weiss’ problem wasn’t the upper limit of his Game Item Shop but the amount of Dev points.
While Weiss thinking about the problem regarding his Dev points and the upper limit of his Game Item Shop, Alice interjected and pouted.
[Hmph! You should have listened to me and mind-controlled the people in Phoenix City.]
[That way, you wouldn’t have to worry about your Dev points.]

Despite Alice’s persuasion, Weiss still shook his head and refused, “That’s against my principles. I’ll only cheat if I have no other choice but to do so.”
“I still have enough time to earn Dev points since there are still two months before the otherworld invasion starts. If I don’t become a Sage at that time, then I might cheat. Otherwise, I won’t.”
“Furthermore, the live stream feature and the streamer benefits will bring me more players as it can be a form of publicity. I’ll eventually reach one million Dev points and let you have your human form.”
Knowing how stubborn Weiss was, Alice no longer persuaded him.
Anyway, Alice knew how Weiss valued his entertainment and since he refused, she would no longer pester him about it.
After his conversation with Alice, Weiss left the Workshop and returned to the real world.
