Chapter 63: Ayame And Bianca Vs The Mastermind
Before Ayame could continue using the portal to send the green-colored mist to another dimension, Robert took a glance at the portal and it disappeared!

Without Ayame’s portal, the green-colored mist was no longer hindered from propagating to them.

Unlike most awakeners who only awakened one superpower, Robert Wilson was an awakener who awakened two superpowers!

His first superpower was negation which could negate almost anything that he could see or touch as long as it didn’t exceed the upper limit of his power. He could negate anything, whether it was the superpower of others, viral energy, or even conceptual aspects such as luck and fate.

However, Robert’s negation superpower might be powerful, but it still had its upper limit since he couldn’t negate the luck of those who were stronger than him or negate the attack that exceeded his upper limit.

On the other hand, his second superpower was poison manipulation. He could generate and manipulate poison. Furthermore, he could even control his poison to the point that he could choose which organism he wanted to poison. He could also switch his poison into any three states of matter, whether it was in the form of solid, liquid, or gas.

In other words, Robert’s second superpower had made up for his negation superpower’s flaw of lacking long-range attacking capability or even strong attack power in general.

However, Robert might be the mastermind of the zombie virus, but he wasn’t the strongest special NPC. Weiss had developed a far stronger existence than Robert.

Ayame’s portal which was previously negated by Robert had been restored and started devouring all the green-colored mist.

Robert didn’t believe that his superpower was countered so he negated Ayame’s portal again. But as soon as Robert negated Ayame’s portal, Bianca decisively restored it again.

If Robert’s negation superpower was at a conceptual level, the same went for Bianca’s restoration superpower. As long as Bianca had enough viral energy, she could restore almost anything!

Looking at Robert who fell into a stalemate with Bianca, Winston sneered, “Heh, is that all you can do?”

“Weren’t you about to kill me? What now? Have you gone soft?”

Winston folded his arms and mockingly gazed at Robert.

Both Robert and Ayame were standing in the air while Bianca and Winston were standing on the ground. Winston had to look up at Robert but that didn’t stop him from mocking Robert.

In response to Winston’s mockery, Robert used his index finger to push the bridge of his glasses as the sunlight made the lens of his glasses shine. “You still haven’t won, kid.”

“I can outlast that girl there. As long as she depletes her viral energy, the three of you can no longer counter my negation.”

If he can’t even outlast a teenage girl’s energy, Robert would be a failure as a healthy adult man!

Having confidence in his stamina and viral energy, Robert decided to keep on using his poison mist to force Ayame to create the portal. He also negated Ayame’s portal which caused Bianca to restore it and the cycle continued.

Although Robert was using two superpowers at the same time, his viral energy was twice the capacity of an average Awakener due to having two superpowers.

So even if it was a 1 vs 2, Robert managed to stalemate both Ayame and Bianca.

Winston didn’t make a move yet since he knew that his attacks would easily be negated by Robert. He was saving up his viral energy in case he ever needed it to pass it on to Ayame and Bianca.

The two sides were currently in a stalemate. Even if Robert increased the output of his poison mist, it still couldn’t propagate toward Ayame and Bianca since Ayame’s portal had strong suction power.

The same went for Ayame since she couldn’t do anything against Robert. All of her attacks would be negated by him so instead of wasting her energy on attacking him, she put all her attention on defending his poison mist.

Robert was only at the peak of A-rank so neither he nor Ayame had an advantage against each other in power level.

If Ayame was at S-rank, she could easily defeat Robert since Robert’s upper limit for his negation superpower was only at A-rank.

‘Sigh, if we had discovered Robert’s laboratory as soon as the zombie apocalypse started, Bianca and I would have the advantage of having E-rank power.
