Chapter 71: Ayame Brings The Five Endgame Item Rewards To Real World
“I choose rewards 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7.”
After receiving the detailed information about each reward from the game AI, Ayame chose the rewards: S-rank Perfect Evolution Crystal x1, S-grade Gravity Hand Gloves x1, Miracle Panacea x3, Second Awakener Ability Crystal x1, and A Strand Of VIRUS’ Energy {Purified} x1.
The S-rank Perfection Evolution Crystal, S-grade Gravity Hand Gloves, and Miracle Panacea were self-explanatory as Ayame had already received the inferior version of those first two mentioned rewards. On the other hand, the miracle panacea’s description was already mentioned before by the game AI.
As for the Second Awakener Ability Crystal, its name was also self-explanatory. It allows those who consume it to become an Awakener with two superpowers like Robert Wilson.
In other words, it allows an Awakener to “awaken” a second time, thereby awakening another ability.
On the other hand, VIRUS’ energy was very lethal to even some powerful awakeners. ETERNITY was the only exception who had withstood its power but even then, she might have become a god, but she lost her identity as a person.
Whether ETERNITY was the person she was before or was reduced to some power that auto-piloted her body, it showed how dangerous VIRUS’ energy was.
However, reward option number 6 was a strand of VIRUS’ energy which was purified. Meaning, it could even be used by a normal human. But the benefits for it would only be fully shown if it was consumed by a powerful awakener instead of a normal human.
According to the game AI’s description, a purified strand of VIRUS’ energy was enough to elevate the power of an S-rank Awakener into a Half-Step SS-rank Awakener without losing their personality.
Although it wasn’t enough to allow Ayame to become an SS-rank Awakener, it still gave her enough power to at least survive the attack of SS-rank zombies and she wouldn’t be in a passive situation against them. Even if she couldn’t defeat a genuine SS-rank zombie, she could at least escape from it by having the power of a Half-Step SS-rank Awakener.
Furthermore, having VIRUS’ energy doesn’t mean it would be consumed immediately. Instead, it would be used to improve the quality of the zombie virus in an awakener’s body. It’s a permanent improvement.
So if Ayame used it and was at A-rank power, she would be elevated to the power of S-rank Awakener. But even then, even if she fought against other S-rank Awakeners, she could easily defeat them since her viral energy quality would be far better than theirs.
After receiving Ayame’s choices, the game AI responded.
-Ding!
[Rewards 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 will be transferred near the player in the real world!]
[Player Shiro Ayame has chosen the rewards and will be transferred back to the real world along with the game items!]
[Goodbye! In Aspro’s Will!]
After receiving those game notification screens, Ayame’s consciousness faded.
…
Opening her eyes, Ayame found herself back in her guest room at Bianca’s mansion.
She was currently lying on the bed and after remembering what happened, Ayame stood up from her bed. She saw five transparent spheres floating beside her bed.
Inside those five transparent spheres were the rewards she had chosen from Zombie Survival Online.
In the first transparent sphere, a pure white-colored transparent crystal was inside it and Ayame knew that it was the S-rank Perfect Evolution Crystal.
Unlike the evolution crystal which was gray in color, the perfect evolution crystal was pure white.
Already familiar with this, Ayame popped three of those transparent spheres, namely the transparent spheres for the S-rank Perfect Evolution, S-grade Gravity Hand Gloves, and the three miracle panaceas.
After receiving those game rewards, Ayame took off the B-grade gravity hand gloves on her hand and replaced them with the S-grade gravity hand gloves. Since the S-grade gravity hand gloves have the feature of shapeshifting into any gloves, Ayame transformed them into gaming gloves and she wore them with satisfaction.
The B-grade gravity hand gloves were no longer useful to her but she didn’t throw them away. Instead, Ayame summoned her space storage and stored the B-grade gravity hand gloves inside it.
After storing it inside the space storage, Ayame commented, “My space storage is very convenient. Because of it, I can choose the S-grade gravity hand gloves instead of the S-grade space storage bracelet.”
The B-grade gravity hand gloves might no longer be useful to her, but it was still very valuable since not everyone could get B-grade artifacts.
Although she didn’t plan to sell it since money was not that much of use to her, the B-grade gravity hand gloves could still be used to trade with others. Trading it with a game item that she might need was a better option so she didn’t throw the B-grade gravity hand gloves.

Afterward, Ayame stored the three miracle panacea in her space storage as well.
The three miracle panacea were three transparent glass bottles half-filled with green liquid. It might look like poison, but from the system’s description, it could cure any known human illness.
It works by using the “positive” viral energy within the green liquid to eliminate and devour the cause of the illness. For example, having tumors or cancer cells, the positive viral energy would devour and expel it from the human body.
In the case of blindness and other similar illnesses, the positive viral energy would repair the cause of the blindness or remove the defect that caused it.
Even those with terminal cancer would easily be cured by just one miracle panacea.
At least in modern Blue Star, there was no illness that the miracle panacea couldn’t cure. But if it was in the future after the world was invaded by otherworlders, then it might not work as it used to.
After all, even the miracle panacea has its upper limit. It’s just a cure-all potion that targeted illnesses known in human history but not the ones beyond Blue Star.
After Ayame stored the miracle panacea in her space storage, she held the S-rank Perfect Evolution Crystal.
“Here goes.”
After preparing herself mentally, Ayame opened her mouth and consumed the S-rank Perfect Evolution Crystal.
