Though Liu Xiong couldn’t understand why Jiang Chen hadn’t simply eliminated Gu Ran, he wasn’t about to question it.  The less I know, the safer I’ll be, he thought.

His best course of action was to follow orders and play his role as a loyal subordinate.

“Hmph!” With a cold snort, Gu Ran unsheathed his weapon and turned his anger on the weaker You Clan members.
