Chapter 812: Rare Ingredients
Adam placed a large ceramic tub on top of the runic formation before filling it with spring water.

Meanwhile, the Joker and Valerian sat on the fluffy cushion in the distance, munching on fresh fruits and curiously gazing at the raven-haired youth’s actions.

As Adam gazed at all the nicely preserved herbs and ingredients placed beside him by the Joker, he couldn’t help but smile brightly.

These ingredients couldn’t be found on Tron. Mathias the Free collected them while he was in the Greater Universe.

Thus, their value, especially on Tron, was priceless!

This should help me advance at least two stages in physique enhancement, he thought in glee.

As mentioned earlier, the number of ranks in the physique enhancement system was the same as the mana extraction system.

The only difference was that physique enhancement required the Magus to repeat the five stages of nourishing the flesh, muscles, bones, organs, and the neural for every rank.

With an excited look on his face, Adam began putting all the ingredients in the spring water in a mystical and methodical sequence. At the same time, he injected his pure mana into the ingredients as well as the spring water.

“Essence of the Lifeleaf,” he murmured with a toothy grin. “A rare herb that accelerates tissue regeneration and closes wounds near instantaneously.”

He injected mana into the green liquid before dropping all of it into the spring water. Then, he picked up the next ingredient.

“Wyvern powder!” This was the core ingredient. It was ground from the bones of an ancient wyvern—a species that had gone extinct in Tron. It strengthened the muscles, bones, and tendons.

“Simurgh ashes.” This was the secondary core ingredient. These were the ashes of a mythical bird associated with fire, purification, and healing.

This magical bird had never existed in Tron!

As Adam poured the reddish-gray ashes into the spring water, he murmured, “These sacred ashes will purify my blood and ignite my body’s natural healing fire.”

After that, the youth started adding the magical ingredients one after another.

Moonwater dew, collected only under the full moons on a planet that had at least six moons. It boosted vitality and immune defenses.

The golden ginseng root restored stamina, cleared toxins, and enhanced the flow of mana in the channels. Silverleaf petals soothed inflammation and bolstered internal resilience.

Blood orchid extract, a crimson sap that empowered the heart and enhanced circulatory strength.

The heart of a mandrake was infused into the bath for deep, cellular-level rejuvenation.

Star anemone blossoms, flowers from the highest cliffs, stimulated nerve recovery and mental clarity. Lastly, obsidian salts, a type of black crystalline salt that cleansed nerual impurities and strengthened the mind-body link.

After putting all the ingredients into the spring water, Adam weaved a series of hand seals and activated the runic formation on the ground.

A moment later, the intricate runes lit up with a crimson light, and they began heating the tub.

At the same time, the youth continued to cast hand seals, not stopping for even a moment. He activated the other quadrants of the runic formation one by one.

One cluster of runes prevented the mana from the liquid inside the tub from escaping, another cluster ensured that all the ingredients were mixed properly, while another removed all the impurities from the ingredients.

Lastly, a small cluster of runes ensured that the liquid in the tub was stirred in a clockwise manner.

Several tens of minutes later, after Adam had determined that the optimal temperature had been reached, he cancelled the heating formation.

Then, with a final set of complex hand seals, the five ingredients that were Grade 3 in nature—meaning, they could be used to concoct Grade 3 potions—were placed strategically at each point of the pentagram, lit up with a bright light.

Under the effects of the runic formation, the essence of these ingredients, belonging to the five fundamental elements of nature, was extracted. Then they were mixed before finally being added to the liquid in the tub.

After more than thirty minutes, the medicinal bath was finally ready!

The bandages on Adam’s body were now stained with even more blood as a result of his moving around for a little bit. This went on to show just how grievously injured he was.

As he began untying his bandages, he turned towards the Joker and stated, “No matter what happens, do not deactivate the runic formation.”

“No matter what happens?” The Joker arched an eyebrow. “Should I be expecting something?”

“Yeah,” Adam spoke with a wry smile. “A lot of screaming and cursing.”

The Joker’s lips curled into a smirk. “Then I shall be looking forward to it.”

Adam’s lips twitched. This sadistic bastard!

After removing all the clothes and bandages, he walked towards the tub with bated breath. His body was littered with long and deep wounds. It was ghastly to look at. One could only imagine how he felt.

The youth took a deep breath and climbed over the tub. The moment the wounds on his skin came in touch with the multi-colored shimmering liquid, intense pangs of pain radiated all through his body.

He bit his lower lip so hard that it started to bleed. But he didn’t scream. No, not yet.

Adam walked towards the center of the tub, then raised his shaky hands and weaved the final set of hand seals to activate the runic formation once again.

Pain. Unimaginable pain.

It felt as if thousands of ants were crawling all over his wounds, and someone was piercing countless needles on top of that.

Adam gritted his teeth as his eyes turned bloodshot. He began revolving the Astral Tyrant Manual and finally started attacking the bone stage!

The liquid inside the tub drilled into the pores of his skin. It was difficult initially because Adam’s body had been tempered so many times, but with a violent push, the liquid entered his body.

It nourished his flesh and muscles before finally coating all the bones inside his body. The moment the multi-colored liquid came in contact with his bones, Adam couldn’t hold it in any longer.

He jerked his head back, thick veins standing out along his neck, and screamed at the top of his lungs.

It was a primal scream of pure, breaking agony.

But this was only the beginning.

Pain was the price… but greatness was the reward!
