Chapter 635: The Match or The Tie III
While the players of the two teams were focusing on warming up for the game, the Champions League Tonight show was going on at full blast.

“The last time these two teams met is not something the Uventus fans want to remember,” Henry said calmly, shaking his head.

“Tell me about it, they met in 2018 in the Champions League Semi-Finals where Uventus lost 4:3 in the tie and then earlier in 2017 where they lost 4:1 in the finals against Madrid,”

“I guess we can say for sure that Uventus have an unfulfilled vendetta against the Madrid side,” Kate said with a little laugh.

“Well, how different do you think this game will be from the previous times these two sides met?” Jaimie asked the others.

“Well, Uventus have Ronaldo now. I think that says a lot,” Micah pointed out.

“Can’t argue with that definitely. After all, the last few times they met, Ronaldo proved himself to be the difference between those two teams. That overhead kick goal is something that probably still gives Buffon nightmares till now I’m sure,” Jamie replied.

“They say if you can’t beat them, join them, but in this case, Uventus couldn’t beat Madrid, so they bought their best player,” Kate said, her face still lit up with a smile.

“Actually, while we can’t say that was an especially fruitful decision since they didn’t win the Champions League last year, they are back again this year and in the semi-finals. With Ronaldo, maybe it could be their year,” Henry stated calmly.

“Maybe, maybe, after all, that is Mr. Champions League right there. If there is anyone on this pitch that knows his way around these kinds of games, it’s him,” Micah said, sounding a bit distracted as he took out his phone and smoothed out his eyebrows, using his phone’s screen as a mirror.

“What is he doing?” Henry asked, sounding fed up. He had seen way too many antics from Micah to be surprised.

“He seems to be smoothing himself out… Didn’t the make-up guys do their job well, or did his barber finally mess up his hairline?” Jamie asked, his characteristic accent accentuating every word that escaped his lips.

“Don’t mind me, you guys carry on, nothing to see here,” Micah said, glancing over at them before returning to smoothing out his features.

“What are you doing?” Kate asked Micah, curious.

“Nothing,” Micah replied, putting his phone aside.

“That wasn’t nothing, Micah,” Kate pressed on.

“He’s acting like a teenager checking how they look when they see their crush around the corner,” Jamie said, glancing suspiciously at Micah.

Henry, who had been listening patiently suddenly had his eyes widen all of a sudden as he thought of something,

“…Now that you mention it, guess who I saw earlier… actually, it’s more than one person,” Henry said with a sly grin.

“Who?” Kate, Jamie, and Micah asked in unison immediately.

“Wait wait, don’t say it,” Micah suddenly realized that he had been busted when he saw the look Henry was giving him, but Henry didn’t pay him any attention and opened his mouth to answer the other two hosts.

“Selina Gomes and Temz,” Henry said, smirking.

“Selina Gomes, here? What’s she doing here in Madrid and at a football stadium too?” Jamie asked the question that appeared in everyone’s head after their surprise disappeared.

“Who knows? But clearly Micah doesn’t care and is trying to, hehe…” Henry smirked.

“Wait, who is the other person, Temz, right?” Kate asked.

“You don’t know Temz?” Micah asked, seemingly in shock.

“I don’t know her either. Who is she?” Jamie asked as well.

“*Gasp!*”

“Kate I can understand, but you not knowing Temz is a grave sin that should be punished… anyway, it’s not your fault. You’re married,” Micah said with a little scoff.

“Happily married too,” Jamie said proudly, earning him some “Awns” from everyone watching.

“Anyway, if you want to find out why Selina Gomes is here at the Santiago Bernabeu for the Champions League semifinals, why don’t you ask her?” Kate suddenly said.

“Here? Like right now?” Micah asked, surprised.

“On the show?” Jamie asked, also surprised, but Henry understood at a glance what was going on.

As the main host of the show, Kate usually had an earpiece in her right ear for getting information and instructions as the show went on.

It seemed that while they were talking, the team had decided that it would be a pretty good idea to pull Selina Gomes and Temz onto the show, hence they had given Kate the go-ahead.

All that would decide if those two would appear on the show was whether they wanted to or not, but considering the type of media power football had, as long as they had the opportunity to be on the show, they would not reject.

It did not take a long time for someone from the CBS crew to get across to Selena and Temz, who were in one of the luxury boxes, asking them if they wanted to be on the show.

The offer was a surprise, but neither of them rejected the chance to be featured for free on a show that would be watched by hundreds of millions of football fans around the world.

That was a boost anyone who lived on their fame would never reject.

Soon, the two of them were taken down to the field and were given mics while the cameras turned toward them.

“Welcome to the show,” Kate said, not apologizing about the sudden request to be on the show as she was sure that the two guests were definitely not unhappy. It was clear enough on their face.

“Thank you for having us,” Selina Gomes said.

“What she said,” Temz echoed with a cheeky grin, eliciting a little laugh from the show’s hosts.

“Not to sound like I’m judging, but what brings you two beautiful ladies to Santiago Bernabeu on Champions League night?” Jamie asked immediately the greetings were over and done with.

“Uh well actually, we were working together on something and we were in Spain for the night, and Temz said,” Selina began explaining, but right around that moment, Jason who had been doing a little jog across the field with a group of Uventus players was passing nearby when he suddenly noticed a familiar figure among the people doing the show and it was a figure he didn’t expect to see there at all.
